Awesome Music / Sonic Robo Blast 2

Go To

Though this is a fangame, Sonic Robo Blast 2 has plenty of songs worthy of the Sonic name. You can get the whole OST for yourself here!

From 2.2:

  • The title screen theme (based off of Virtual Sonic's extended remix of the Sonic & Knuckles theme) continues the series' trend of giving a first impression full of personality telling the player, "Hey, come on, a new adventure's on the horizon!"
  • For what it is, the tutorial of all things has a surprisingly catchy tune and groovy bassline.
  • The character select music is a more relaxing, dream-like remix of the game's main theme, but one that still manages to raise some good anticipation for the adventure coming up.
  • Greenflower Zone's music is as synonymous with Robo Blast 2 as Green Hill itself is with the original game. Act 1 gives us a cheerful, carefree melody with the vibe of waking up to a bright new day. It's surely a great beginner track.
  • Greenflower Zone Act 2 is short but nothing less than majestic, and kicks it up a notch with a livelier, uplifting tempo, extra percussion and an electric guitar solo, with the express purpose of getting you pumped for whatever extra action's coming up.
  • Egg Rock Zone Act 1 is pure and bluesy hard rock awesomeness to go perfectly with the struggle of the level.
  • The boss theme is energetic, with an electrifying keyboard riff and solo.
  • Techno Hill Zone, for both acts, is driven by a very catchy and futuristic keyboard riff.
  • Deep Sea Zone is quite atmospheric and has two brilliant takes on the level. Act 1 has a rocking sea shanty feel, while Act 2 is calm and ambient with a more Latin.
  • Castle Eggman Zone just doesn't feel complete without listening and playing each act in order. Act 1 is mysterious and adventurous like you're a spy, while Act 2 is an all-out siege on a massive medieval castle built by the Big Bad himself.
  • Arid Canyon Zone has a stereotypical old Western movie feel. Act 2 is laid-back and country.
  • The music for the boss battle against Fang the Sniper is a fantastic remix of the crazy and tense tune from Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble.
  • The theme for the race against Metal Sonic is a remix of Sonic CD's "Stardust Speedway- Bad Future" from the JP/Pal version. The boss version that plays when you face off against him is just as climactic sounding as the final boss music.
  • As for the final boss theme, the frantic chord progression coupled with epic guitar solos couldn't be more fitting.
