Like the previous film, the soundtrack for Sing 2 is filled with great earworms that let the main cast show off their impressively wide vocal range.
  • The film's opening number is a rousing rendition of Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" by Meena, Johnny, Rosita and Gunter, and they harmonize together beautifully. Meena's voice actress, Tori Kelly, in particular really cuts loose and does a phenomenal job of singing with plenty of passion and soul as the elephant riles up a crowd.
  • Ash's spicy introductory number, "Heads Will Roll", is a cool, electrifying beat that has a vastly different tone than many of the other songs in the film. It immediately captures the essence of Ash's punk rock character, as the rising star wows her fans.
  • "Holes" by Mercury Rev makes a heartwarming appearance during a silent Travel Montage of the Moon Theater troupe riding a bus to Redshore City, bonding together all night long. The song's cozy, sentimental tone grows in strength all the while, until the hauntingly beautiful chorus soars during the reveal of Redshore City the following morning.
  • When the theater animals make it to Redshore City, they decide to win over Jimmy Crystal by serenading him with "Where the Streets Have No Name". Ash, Johnny, Meena, Rosita and Gunter seamlessly create a soothing (and almost heavenly) choir that's backed up by the gentle strumming of Ash's guitar. It's a short but mesmerizing performance that encourages their audience to let their imaginations wander. The full cover is on the soundtrack album, and it's nothing short of incredible.
  • In the film, Johnny belts out a short snippet of Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" to convince Nooshy to trust him, but on the soundtrack album, the full cover is a duet between Johnny and Meena. Taron Egerton and Tori Kelly's sleek, strong, rising vocals compliment each other really well - both in their own solo verses and together as part of a chorus.
  • "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out of" is another solo song for Ash that's considerably more tender and intimate than "Heads Will Roll". Backed by an acoustic guitar, Scarlett Johansson's soft yet determined vocals are very infectious and surprisingly touching, as Ash digs deep within herself and slowly manages to win over Clay.
  • "SuĂ©ltate" (by Sam I, Annita, BIA, Jarina De Marco) and "Soy Yo" (by Bomba Estereo) are two Spanish songs that add a fun, saucy and funky flavor to the film, while also helping to bring the big city setting of Redshore City to life: the former during Johnny and Nooshy's dance montage and the latter during the theater animals' escape from Mr. Crystal's hotel.
  • "A Sky Full of Stars" is the culmination of all of Johnny's hard work and all the trials he's had to endure for two movies, to reach the point of living out his dreams in front of a massive audience. Johnny's piano playing skills are still as soulful as ever, and Taron Egerton's vocals are smooth like silk as the gorilla sings his heart out. The last third of the track transitions into a primal underlying stomp beat as Johnny triumphs over Klaus in a dance battle, with support from his friends and family.
  • Porsha's big number, "Could Have Been Me", is a standout moment in the film, partly because of the emotional intensity behind it. Like several other characters in the Sing movies, Porsha finds her own voice by setting herself free of someone else's expectations of her, and Halsey does a fantastic job of portraying both her joy and her defiant rebellion when it comes to her newfound independence.
  • Meena's segment in the big show is "I Say a Little Prayer", a love song duet between Tori Kelly and Pharrell Williams, as the elephant with an angelic voice imagines herself crooning onstage with Alfonso instead of Darius. It's a short little number, but it's sweet like honey and it proves to be quite an enrapturing performance between the two artists.
  • Rosita and Gunter's song, "Break Free", is one of the most heartwarming and empowering moments in the movie as Rosita conquers her fear of heights and saves Buster Moon's life. "Break Free" gives Reese Witherspoon a chance to cut loose with plenty of passion and gusto as her super mom character owns the stage, alongside her reliably exuberant dance partner.
  • "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" is impactful on three levels. Ash gets to perform onstage with an artist she looks up to, Clay Calloway makes peace with his wife's passing and returns to the world of music again after being gone for fifteen years, and Bono puts a new spin on one of his old songs during his duet with Scarlett Johansson. The two of them collaborate together wonderfully.
  • "Your Song Saved My Life" by U2 underscores the final scene in the film. The wholesome nature of the song bookends our heroes' time in Redshore City as they ride the bus back to Calatonia, and the lyrics manage to thematically tie up not only this film but the previous one as well. The song's message makes it quite clear that the Moon Theater troupe have not only managed to change their own lives for the better, but the lives of many other people around them since they first met, and their future is looking bright.
  • "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is a bonus track on the soundtrack album that was used prominently in an Xfinity ad promoting the film. Like "Let's Go Crazy", it's a sweet little group number between the theater animals that will put a festive smile on your face as the main cast harmonizes together with Keke Palmer.
