Being a series centered around Magical Girls who use the power of song to fight, Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch has no shortage of amazing music.
- Return to the Sea, Sara's Image Song, is very powerful and memorable, especially when compared to the more poppy and lively songs that populate the series. Also its Italian counterpart, Assoluto Amore (Absolute Love), a song sung by an angry voice as it celebrates The Power of Love... Enough to destroy the world, as it points out at the end.
- Kodou ~Perfect Harmony~ (Heartbeat ~Perfect Harmony~) is extremely catchy and energetic. What makes it even better is that it's one of the few songs that all 7 mermaids sing. "Perfect Harmony" indeed.
- Kibou no Kaneoto ~Love Goes On~ (The Sound of the Bells of Hope ~Love Goes On~) is another song that all 7 mermaids sing, although tonally it's Kodou's polar opposite. Unlike Kodou, which is a rousing call to action, Kibou no Kaneoto is a gentle lullaby full of inspiring lyrics.
- One of Seira's Image Songs, Beautiful Wish, is just beautiful.
- "Legend of Mermaid", the series's main theme, is lovely. There are many versions of it as well:
- 7 mermaid version. As with the other songs sung by all 7 mermaids, it's harmonized perfectly.
- The 6 mermaid version happens in episode 15 of the second season and is rather touching.
- The 3 mermaid version is sung by the original trio of mermaids.
- Lucia version. This is the first version of the song showcased in the series and it still holds up.
- The Hanon version is cute and bubbly.
- Rina version. Rina's deep and unique voice is what makes this version memorable.
- The Sara version stands out for being slow and somewhat sorrowful.
