Awesome Music / Henry Stickmin Series

Go To

As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

Escaping the Prison

  • ParagonX9, an upbeat techno theme that encapsulates Henry's newfound freedom, dashing off as a once Sneaky Escapist.
  • The Outlaw's Journey celebrates Henry's victory over the cops as he walks off for quite the Badass Bust Out.
  • Gangsta 4 Lyfe plays as Henry drives off — in a police car — for the credits of the above ending.
  • Cross-Examination and Grilling Pursuit are worthy replacement themes for the respective moments in Henry's trial in the Lawyered Up "route".
  • NightTide emphasizes how spectacular the above method of escape is, in spite of how mundane it is on paper.

Stealing the Diamond

  • Get Your Growler Out is a fast-paced beat that kicks off Henry's ride through the museum in the game's most aggressive route.
  • Fire Proof goes nearly perfectly with the police car chase that soon follows.
  • Car Horn accompanies Henry's basking in his escapade with the diamond as an Intruder on a Scooter.
  • Above the Clouds plays when Henry takes the time to enjoy the luxury the diamond's value gave him as an Unseen Bulglar.
  • Ego Death is quite the dubstep for when the CCC's Humongous Mecha adds to the museum's havoc.
  • Preparation 4 War, which is Just Plain Epic like the namesake ending is.

Infiltrating the Airship

  • Psychosis makes excellent drums n' bass as Henry relentlessly chases Reginald Copperbottom.
  • The Conclusive Battle and The Right Hand Man Attacks imitate the themes they replaced quite well to keep Henry's fight against RHM as climactic as it is.
  • Forgotten Worlds plays once Henry earns the Government's pardon after capturing the Toppat leader, and he then drives his stolen tank through the desert as a Relentless Bounty Hunter.
  • Brainbite's dubstep makes its way should Henry double-cross the Government and live out the spoils of being quite the Toppats' Rapidly Promoted Executive.
  • Onset and Repercussion's heavy metal plays when Henry dons the Power Armor and busts unharmed through the falling airship's propeller, with the Romanian Ruby growing back and remaining intact — and then the Toppats and the Government face each other head on.
  • Sweet Cold Revenge fits the ending that follows, with Henry having stuck to his roots as a Pure Blooded Thief.
  • Wings of the Pilot is a calm, relaxing theme that accompanies the news of the results of Henry turning over a new leaf as a Government Supported Private Investigator.
  • ParagonX9's remix of Chaoz Fantasy is a jaunty tune that appears in the "Lightning Quick Larcenist" "ending" and wonderfully dies down in-game.

Fleeing the Complex

  • Puffballs' rendition of the Russian folk song Troika correlates nicely with the stereotypes associated with the Wall.
  • Anemotaxis's drums n' bass perfectly sets up the more serious tone of Complex should Henry make a bum-rush out of his holding cell.
  • Unreal Superhero 3 is an exciting modern chiptune piece that plays once Henry leaves the Wall without a single guard knowing, fitting the ending's name: Ghost Inmate. It also begins to play in the Fail where Henry hijacks the ship, before being cut off by one of the crew popping up to apparently stab him in the back.
  • Dance Mr. Funnybones is a silly loop played to the tempo of Henry's infamous distraction dance.
  • 360 No Hope is a boisterous dubstep theme for the "instant replay" of Henry accidentally no-scoping Ellie.
  • Falling starts off with Henry's exciting ride to the Toppat Clan's airship, and then the Toppats' motif shows up once Reginald proclaims that it'd be better for Henry to be overthrown, and then a low, somber wail plays as Henry is dropped into the sea as The Betrayed.

Completing the Mission

  • Believe is a loudly upbeat soundtrack for when Henry makes off nigh undetected with the Toppats' stolen treasures, having just Cleaned 'em Out.
  • Metal Hat's chiptunes fit Metal Henry punching his way out of his space station cell in the Bounty/Ghost route (AKA Free Man) and then sprinting towards the main cabin with bullets bouncing harmlessly off his iron body.
  • Elysium is a pumping tune with two different parts used: one when Henry sprints across the Toppat train in Bounty/Dead (AKA Little Nest Egg), and another when Henry is driven up the ramp in Executive/Allies (Toppat King).
  • Tickets Please, which plays during the Undertale battle against Mr. MacBeth in the Bounty/Dead (Little Nest Egg) route, is a catchy, if short, 8-bit battle theme that perfectly captures the feeling of those in Undertale, most notably Metal Crusher.
  • Little Nest Egg makes for a calm denouement as Henry floats through the river with the Toppats' money cart to stow it in secret as the song and ending's namesake.
  • Tactical Espionage Infiltration is an exciting opening theme for the uniquely epic beginning of the Bounty/Rescue route (Master Bounty Hunter).
  • Codec Moments fits the "special operations" nature of said route's mission and the aux call between Henry, his allies, and Galeforce.
  • BCC News is a solemn theme typical to the news, fitting for a parody of the BBC.
  • A Feeling of Tread is a relentlessly intense piece of dubstep that plays when the Toppat caravan tries to defend the train from Henry and Ellie.
  • Scooter is an amazingly fast-paced backdrop for Henry's brazen attempt at stealing the Toppats' rocket during the Thief/Dead route (Stickmin Space Resort).
  • The Space Resort is a refreshing jazz theme for the showcasing of what Henry does with the superbase he hijacked: found the Stickmin Space Resort.
  • Meeting of Allies is a wonderful blend between the leitmotifs of Ellie, the Government, and the Toppat Clan, fitting for the game's main trio teaming up in the Government/Allies route (Triple Threat).
  • Dance Mr. Funnybones' trap mix is an enrapturing remix that accompanies Henry and Ellie's (now coordinated) distraction of the Toppats in the rocket cafeteria.
  • Topbot is the dance music played by the eponymous robot that acts as a similar diversion when Charles remote-hacks it in the Government/Rescue route (Special BROvert Ops).
  • Kensington's Domain is a rather climactic reference for the painting portal battle... that Henry quickly loses.
  • An Old Friend has a fast-paced section that accompanies Charles' failure to take out a few Toppats, and then returns to the tavern's typical tune in the Government/Dead route (Valiant Hero).
  • Valiant Hero. A dramatic piece that accompanies Charles' final words and the heartbreaking loss of him, soon to be remembered as what the song and its accompanied ending are called.
  • Beware: Mechs starts as a sprightly beat for the battle between Big Boy and G.A.B.E.G.G., and then steadies into a celebration of Henry's success in granting the Toppat Clan free reign to launch their space station with zero losses for the Toppat 4 Life ending.
  • Revival's eerie strains set up Henry's realization of what became of him, and the darker tone of the only route to take place after The Betrayed.
  • Da Vinci Overdrive carries such a tone on, with Henry and the Right Hand Man fighting one another to sate their respective vengeance.
  • Bizarre Funk, being a JoJo reference, was neatly made for the Spirit Battle in the Executive/Betrayed route (Revenged).

Leitmotifs

  • Henry's leitmotif is a simple one, as deceptively as Henry often acts. It appears as the Collection's starting theme and in the third part of Airship's menu theme.
  • Recruited in Airship is the first appearance of the Government's leitmotif, making one feel as if they're the criminal getting recruited. The motif is as prominent as the Government is in Mission:
    • Code12 Broadcast sets up the coolheaded valor of the Government's mission against the Toppats nicely as Henry eavesdrops on them in the Government/Ghost route.
    • Mission Briefing is a great cinematic counterpart of the above soundtrack, used for General Galeforce's briefing to Henry and Charles in the Government/Rescue route.
    • The last tune in Toppat Turmoil accompanies Charles' congratulations to Henry for his skill and success as a future Master Bounty Hunter.
    • Henry's Plan. The climactic motif shows up as Henry and Ellie drop from the rocket and Charles maneuvers his helicopter to safely stop their fall as they climb aboard, cementing the trio's status as a Triple Threat.
    • The Big Play triumphantly accompanies the Pardoned Pals ending, with Henry and Ellie's redemption being sealed by General Galeforce.
  • A leitmotif more closely associated with Charles appears twice: Government Rescue's cinematic tune when Charles rescues Henry in Complex's International Rescue Operative ending, and Mount Regal, which heralds the music's tone's return in the Special BROvert Ops ending of Mission.
  • The Toppat Clan's recurring motif is very catchy, with its first appearance being the second part of Airship's menu theme. The motif is nearly as ubiquitous in Mission as the Clan:
    • Not Again is a menacing tune that plays in the Bounty/Ghost route, where the Right Hand Man managed to turn Henry's Waking Up Elsewhere into a full-on Running Gag.
    • Stranded emphasizes the Toppat Clan's predicament once they get stuck in space in the process of Henry becoming a Free Man.
    • Both Caravan Duty and The Rocket Plan are properly subdued themes for when Henry eavesdrops on some of the Toppat Clan in order to steal either their money or their space station.
    • Toppat Turmoil's rather distorted harmony fits the theme's namesake occurrence over RHM's capture.
    • Preparations Interrupted starts off with the Toppats' leitmotif as Henry and Ellie meet up with them, but it becomes quite something else upon Burt Curtis' warning of the Government's raid!
    • Toppat King begins as a suspenseful tune for Reginald's betrayal Bait-and-Switch, but then wraps up Henry's latest adventure and accompanies Reginald's narration of the Clan's victory with Henry's rightful status being the song and ending's namesake.
    • The second half of The New Recruits is a hopeful song with Henry and Ellie's newfound refuge as Toppat Recruits.
    • Dishonorable Discharge plays once Ellie's revelation of Henry's abandonment of her spurs Reginald's disgust at his actions and swiftness to overthrow him just as Reginald overthrew Terrence Suave.
    • Vindicated, the leitmotif's Dark Reprise, makes it clear that despite Henry's success against Reginald, the Revenged route is the one where the former's life story ends.
  • The Wall perfectly establishes the feel of Complex, and acts as a fitting leitmotif to the faction in question.
    • The game's main theme's Triumphant Reprise, Complex Waltz, which plays during the Presumed Dead ending, wonderfully concludes Henry's successful escape.
    • Mission gives us End of the Road, an even more threatening remix of this already intimidating tune.
    • The first half of The New Recruits fits Dmitri's desperation to avenge the loss of his reputation.
    • And then there's Two Idiots, which corresponds with both the tavern's nearby setting and the overconfidence of two drunken Government military rookies.
  • Ellie's Theme is a calm yet adventurous beat that fits Ellie's personality.
    • You have a TANK?! takes such tone even further as it precedes Henry and Ellie's ambush on the Toppat Clan in the Bounty/Allies route.
    • Red Headed Outlaw is a Triumphant Reprise of this motif that plays as Henry and Ellie make off with the Toppat's money cart as their Capital Gains.

The legacy series

The original songs that were removed for copyright reasons are remembered as just as good as their respective replacements.
  • The Darkness, the original theme for the police chase in Badass Bust Out, is a simplistic yet exciting Drum and Bass track that does well to capture the quick-time tension of the scene.
  • Infertehno, the original credits theme for Lawyered Up, is a particular fan favorite as a catchy EDM track.
  • Darkest Shadow, the original credits theme for Sneaky Escapist, is another Drum and Bass track that is just as driving as its counterpart in the Collection.
  • Beast Mode, the original theme for the CCC's robot in Just Plain Epic, is a heart-pounding tune for Henry having to make a gamble in the middle of a destructive crisis.
  • Relaxing Beat, the original credits theme for Government Supported Private Investigator, acts as some great Awesomeness Withdrawal music following the first mission with Charles.
  • Forgotten Aura, the original credits theme for Convict Allies, is another fan favorite for being a hopeful piano piece for what the future holds for Henry and Ellie.
