The Ecco series sports a phenomenal set of soundtracks, each one utterly nailing the soaring highs and deep, dark lows of Ecco's adventures. Of course, nothing short of this trope can be expected when a game's soundtrack uses Pink Floyd as its inspiration. Some standouts include:
- St. Gabriel's Mask from Tides of Time CD. There's also the official vocal remix, which acts as an Image Song for Ecco himself.
- Convergence from Tides of Time Genesis. It's a medley of several major themes in the game, including Trellia's Bay and Moray Abyss, awesome songs in their own right. Really a shame the only two times you hear it can be short enough to miss out on the whole song.
- The CD version of Fin to Feather is flight in song form.
- "Undercaves" from the first game's Sega CD version is complex and absolutely gorgeous. The fluttering arpeggios particularly.
