The series quite highlights how powerful witches can be.

  • "Apprentice Witch Elaina"note :
    • Fran curbstomping Elaina in a witch battle, as per request by the latter's parents to let her endure a setback to Break the Haughty. The visuals in the fight do a great job at showcasing how powerful a fully-powered witch is, and how out of her league the previously self-assured Elaina is.
    • Elaina eventually defeating Fran due to the latter's training.
  • "The Princess Without Subjects"note
    • Mirarose's witch powers, which Elaina even praises as strong. She almost effortlessly decimates Javalier (who is a huge, powerful monster in his own right) through a nonstop series of massive magical attacks (which at one point include the combination of Death from Above and Storm of Blades), although this becomes more Nightmare Fuel when Javalier's true identity and the full extent of what she's done is revealed.
  • "Royal Celesteria"note :
    • Elaina outwitting the people chasing her, without using any spells no less.
  • "The Land of Truth Tellers"note :
    • Elaina, Saya, and Eihemia are surrounded by a couple dozen armed guards and a king wielding an enchanted sword. While Elaina tries to reason with the king and fight him at the same time, Saya almost effortlessly repels the guards, to the point where she's bored enough to try making small talk with Elaina while fighting.
  • "The Ripper"note :
    • Once Elaina confirms that the eponymous Ripper has stolen her hair and used it in a doll, she goes on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge, clearing the stage of the doll auction with a single magical blast, before physically tearing the doll to pieces and stomping on it.
    • The Ripper turns out to be a psychotic witch, who boasts that Elaina (whom she thinks is a regular mage) stands no chance against her in combat. The look of realization when Elaina informs her that she's also a full-fledged witch is priceless.
    • In the span of seconds, Elaina locks the Ripper in a golden cage while Sheila binds her with magical handcuffs. Despite being a witch like them, the Ripper didn't even have a chance to defend herself.
  • "Retroactive Grief" note :
    • Estelle has got to be the most durable witch in history, especially after she gets nearly taken down by psyhotic childhood friend. Once she regains her strength, Estelle immediately protects Elaina from Selena's attack and then rip Selena a new one.
  • "The Two Masters" note :
    • After much bickering and rivalry between each other, Fran and Sheila decide to put aside their differences and lay some righteous beatdowns on the thieves guild.
