After Operation Northern Cross is broken by the onset of early winter, Squad E survive a perilous trek across the western mountains in the hopes of meeting with reinforcements. When they reach the coast, though, they find that about half of the Federation forces were killed by the environment or Klaus's tank squad, which comes back to finish the job. But just when all seems lost, a Gunship Rescue shows up in the form of three icebreaker battleships that nearly blast the tanks to pieces, forcing Klaus to retreat.
The fact that Squad E manages to defeat Crymaria, in her Valkyria state. While she's suffering from Power Incontinence to boot. And without a Valkyria of their own. To put that in perspective, Squad 7 could never beat Selvaria while she was using her powers, and in a way she still claimed a final victory even when captured.
