  • Early on in the film, Sif curbstomping Thor. With nothing more than a broken pitchfork.
  • While fighting in a bar alongside the Warriors Three. Thor asks Loki to find him a weapon. Sadly, all his brother can find is a rather unimpressive looking wooden hammer. Despite his doubts, Thor attempts to use it anyway. Amazingly enough, he's actually able to get in a lucky shot. Taking down almost all of their opponents by bouncing the hammer around the room. When Thor asks Loki if he bewitched the hammer. Loki admits he didn't have anything to do with it.
Thor: Did you use a little... (waves his hands to vaguely suggest magic was involved)
    Loki: (genuinely surprised) No.
  • Loki managing to snatch the Sword of Surter from right under Brunhilde's nose. Even going so far as to threaten to unleash its power on her and her Valkyries, in exchange for Thor's safety.
Loki: Attention, wenches! You will release your prisoners, now!
    • To her credit, Brunhilde standing her ground and refusing to be intimidated.
  • The Frost Giants, learning the hard way that while they were physically much bigger and stronger than the Valkyries, it was a bad idea to underestimate the warrior maidens.
    • Mainly Sif, who managed to lure one of the Frost Giants' own massive polar bear mounts into colliding with its rider. Which in turn sent him falling several feet into several buildings.
  • Odin and Algrim's fight near the end of the film. Odin does his best during the battle, but Algrim uses the Sword of Surtur to put out the fires in the room, greatly limiting Odin's ability to fight.
