  • In the Anime St. Louis 2014 episode, Greggo announced that because of a scheduling conflict, he would not be at Anime St. Louis 2015, so Brent Rolland would be handling hosting duties for Greggo's other shows that year. He further added that if contestant Kayanna did not beat Iris (as the previous year's winner failed to do so, in her first three picks, no less), The Pokémon Game Show would be taken out of the rotation for that year. Kayanna defeated Iris in a total of 11 selections (including a K.O. on her first pick), thus becoming Champion and saving the show for next year.
  • In general, any time a contestant pulled off a Flawless Victory in the Championship Round by defeating all three of the current Champion's Pokémon without finding a single K.O. space. A couple examples that stick out:
    • Tsubasacon 2014: Ryan defeated Iris (the previous year's winner did defeat her, but did not get back to Greggo in time to be put into the game software) in just six selections. Overlaps with Funny Moments because his six chosen squares were 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 (yes, in that order).
    • Anime Blast Chattanooga 2014: Emily defeated Kyle (the Champion from Anime Blast Chattanooga 2013) in nine selections. Emily's road was a little harder, because one of the moves she found on the first Pokémon would have been super-effective (and thus a One-Hit KO) against a later Pokémon.
  • At Anime-Zing 2016, Jacob defeated Diantha (the then-default Champion, who would have been retired anyway due to the then-upcoming Sun & Moon) in a total of 14 selections, the maximum possible (this includes two K.O. spaces along the way). Jacob was the first player to win the Championship Round without landing any one-hit KOs against any of the outgoing Champion's Pokémon.
