Daybreak
Prologue
- Van curbstomping two mafia henchmen for trying to attack him and Agnès behind their backs. Really shows that Van isn't an amateur like the younger protagonists that came before him.
- The very first time Van transforms into Grendel, complete with a banging battle theme to accompany it.
Chapter 1
- Walter gets two Big Damn Heroes at Creil Village. The first is when he gives Van and his party an opening to get to where Aida went. And the second is when he destroys one of the rocks that had the Genesis artifact to even the numbers for the party.
- Van gets one when he calls out Feri's father for making his daughter even try to kill someone. Then he pulls a Mercy Kill on Aida to make sure she dies peacefully.
Chapter 2
- Elaine skillfully disarms both Van and Aaron at the same time when the two are about to get serious.
Intermission
- Shizuna reveals that she knows Spirit Unification. She also manages to catch Mare possessing Yume like it's nothing.
Chapter 5
- An evil moment but Gerard actually goes through with nuking Creil Village, something no other villain in the series had ever done (with the closest instance of such ruthlessness being Duke Albarea's razing of Ymir and Celdic in Trails of Cold Steel II).
- Dingo gets one where he makes his final stand by taking a lot of pictures to expose Almata and Gerard's terrorism. Not once did he even give in to fear, something that Gerard wants people to experience. Even better, his camera is connected to the net so everyone got to see the tragedy of Creil Village first-hand caused by a madman.
- Judith actually manages to not only dodge Arioche's halberd swing, but even lands on it, even striking the same pose she did while performing in "Golden Blood."
- Van reverting back to his base self, parries Gerard's sword, and stabs him in the chest.
Final Chapter
- Despite all the death flags Van has in the game, the party refuses to leave him behind and take him back again.
Kuro II
Act 1 B
- Where Zin failed to help out Elaine, Swin, and Nadia from the unending swarm of monsters in one timeline, Walter does the unthinkable and just beats the shit out of the possessed to the point that they can't even stand up anymore. Walter even notes that Zin was too soft on them.
Act 2 A
- Kasim proves why he's called one of the strongest Jaegers in history by going toe-to-toe with Shizuna, while she's using Spirit Unification.
- The entire sequence can be considered as a moment of awesome for having the greatest animated choreography in Trails history as while Kasim fights Shizuna, Van, Feri, Aaron, and Risette take on Gouran who manages to trounce most of them until Risette manages to block one of Gouran's strikes only for Van to capitalize on the opening and strike him, separating Gouran from one of the fragments of the final Octo-Genesis. If it wasn't for a few camera cuts, it would have been The Oner.
Intermission
- Ellroy manages to kill off the entire cast by use of his nerve toxins. Only by the Octo-Genesis activating does the cast manage to survive.
- Quatre's angelic powers at full power can wipe out the entire island the cast is in. Props to Ellroy for dying with a smile on his face, telling the Arkride Solutions Office that they'll meet again due to the Octo-Genesis' capabilities of leaping through time.
Act 3 Route E
- Roy shows that he won't just be some guy who needs to be protected by his bodyguards by throwing a flashbang at the enemy and shooting said flashbang mid-air to detonate it early. And at the climax of the route, when Cody's about to shoot Roy, Roy manages to be calm about the entire thing. Finally, he manages to save Cody when the latter wants to commit suicide for the things he's done.
- Walter joins the fight against Cody and the Simulcra bodies of both Zin and Kilika.
Final Chapter
- For the first phase of the final battle, Grendel-Zolga manages to disable the shard, allowing the players to fight the first phase of the final battle on field mode.
- At the climax of the final battle, Grendel-Zolga uses his S-Break on Van as Grendel when Van counters him with his own S-Break. Grendel-Zolga attempts it block it to no avail and Dingo congratulates Van on winning the fight.
