Awesome / The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977)

• The costuming for the film might look somewhat dated but John Chambers and the rest of the special effects crew put in work that still holds up well today. Let alone the sheer number of Beast Man they had to crank out for the crowd shots.
  • Stunt work was also a monumental effort. It's one thing to make a convincing looking human-lion cross with make-up and prosthetics; it's a whole other matter to have the stunt actor in said make-up also have to wrestle an actual lion without getting seriously injured or ruining the make-up crew's work.
