Volume 1: Thus, She is Reborn
- The First-Episode Twist of Menou abruptly drawing her dagger and plunging it into Mitsuki Mutou’s skull is incredible, in its own way, showing many viewers and readers that The Executioner and Her Way Of Life is not the series they assumed it was going to be.
- Menou tricking the terrorist on the train when he tried to force her to strip and socking him is quite satisfying. Akari gets a special mention here too, since she threw herself between Menou and a dangerous, armed man without a thought of her safety, offering to strip in Menou's place to spare her the humiliation.
- After spending the entire first volume (or in the anime, the first half of the series) appearing as nothing but an airheaded ditz, Akari's Guiding Force activate while she's in the clutches of Orwell's women, revealing the real Akari, and revealing that she's been tricking everyone this entire time, including the reader.
Volume 2: Whiteout
- Menou and Ashuna's fight at Manon's ball is entertaining, with Ashuna acknowledging Menou's cunning in countering her.
