• The submarine chase in Lucky Starr and the Oceans of Venus, which ends with both subs trapped by a local creature that Lucky swims outside of the sub to fight.
• Bigman is on a roll throughout Lucky Starr and the Big Sun of Mercury, saving an Inspector Javert from being killed by Mercury's previously unknown predators, beating that same man up in an altered gravity fistfight after he proves to be an Ungrateful Bastard, and exposing one member of the Big Bad Duumvirate with no help from Lucky.
• Lucky Starr and the Moons of Jupiter:
  • When Bigman accuses blind engineer Norrich of faking his disability and being a spy, the man calmly and methodically dismantles this argument and explains away all of the moments where it looked like he would have needed sight to do something.
  • Panner The Engineer traps Lucky and Bigman inside a force field and makes them prove they aren't spies after becoming suspicious of their determined insistence that one of his friends is a spy. Lucky acknowledges that it was a reasonable concern on his part and that he went about trapping them intelligently.
  • Mutt, the seeing-eye dog, rescues Bigman from an ammonia river.
  • The reveal that the Sirrian robot spy is Mutt the seeing eye dog.
• Bigman beating the snot out of the Smug Snake villain who has been throwing "It" Is Dehumanizing insults at him throughout Lucky Starr and the Rings of Saturn feels a long time coming.
