Dr. Eggman: "Please refrain from celebrating the foiling of evil schemes, plots and/or plans while inside the park. Praising the hedgehog is strictly prohibited."
- The final boss. Not only because for the first time in a 3D Sonic game AT ALL, Eggman is the real final boss, but it's pretty awesome in general as well!
- An extra special mention to how the Nega-Wisp Armor operates. Mainly, it's able to not only use the Hyper Go-On energy of the captured wisps within it to forcibly utilize Wisp powers, but it's able to chain them together, as well as its design implying that's in in a near-constant Frenzy on top of all that to increase its power. For once, he's the one trying to hoist Sonic with his own petard.
- The pre-final boss cutscene. Sonic and Tails make it to the orbital elevators only to run into Eggman in the Nega-Wisp Armor. Sonic shoves Tails into the nearest elevator, presses the down button, and sends him back to Earth. Damn.
- When Sonic scores the final hit, Eggman's Villainous Breakdown is quite cathartic.Eggman: You... You...! YOU! YOOOOOOOOOUUU!!! YOU HORRID LITTLE HEDGEHOG!
- While we're on that... The color-meter is fully charged. You activate it. The glass face plate over the monitor CRACKS as the announcer yells: "UNLIMITED COLORS! LASER! DRILL! SPIKES! ROCKET! CUBE! HOVER! FRENZY! FINAL COLOR BLASTER!!" Cue a Rainbow-powered Homing Attack hitting the Nega-Wisp Armor so hard that the Egg-o-matic flies off into space. That last attack against Nega-Wisp Armor might as well have Sonic shouting "Taste the ENTIRE rainbow!". The triumphant reprise of the theme song Reach for the Stars only makes the moment more climactic.

◊ - The game takes on a more light-hearted and comedic tone than the previous Sonic games. When things get serious, however, it gets pretty epic. Sonic manages to pull off a pretty awesome line when confronting the Boss of Asteroid Coaster.Sonic: You know, I don't like what you're doing to my friends in there. It's messed up, so I'm gonna mess you up!
- The entirety of Terminal Velocity, up to and including Sonic attempting to outrun a Hyper Go-On-powered black hole. 100% worthy of the Crown of Awesome. The music also helps.
- "No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!" Is also a Funny Moment.
- Eggman using his Badniks as well as all of his modern robots. Seeing a fusion of past and present like that is definitely a MOA for the doctor.
- The DS version has one: At the end of the Asteroid Coaster boss fight, using the Violet Void to finish the boss off results in Void Sonic growing so large that he swallows the entire battleship whole, leaving no trace!
- Also from the DS version, granted it could have been hyperbole, but Sonic's response to Omega saying he might surpass light speed at his current rate is downright badass.Sonic: Light speed? That's small time. There's no challenge!
