Episode 1 "T-Rex Returns"

  • Bob manages to outfit a tractor with tires and PVC tubing to turn it into a makeshift Triceratops to help Theo let off steam during his first mating season. Nigel is all too happy to join Bob in jousting the first dinosaur to walk the earth in 65 million years.
    • When Suzanne and Bob first notice the change in Theo's attitude, Suzanne quickly deduces why this has happened to him, while Bob simply laughs and says "I've just had a very good idea". Needless to say, he wasn't bluffing.
  • Although he failed to save the mother T. rex, Nigel managed to save her babies by using a ham sandwich and himself as bait.

Episode 2 "A Mammoth Undertaking"

  • Nigel and his expedition team set up camp around the wounded Martha, protecting her throughout the night. A badly wounded mammoth is an easy target and a huge prize for any Ice Age carnivore, yet Nigel manages to go all night defending Martha from cave hyenas, wolves, and Paleolithic human hunters, the last of which are incredibly difficult to detect via their lack of eyeshine.
  • When Nigel makes his second visit to the Ice Age, he rides his snowmobile right next to a herd of healthy mammoths, taking in the splendor of the most famous Ice Age creature in all its majesty.
    • He then witnesses the matriarch of the herd rescue a calf that fell into a deep puddle and got stuck.
  • In a moment that's as tense as it is awesome, Nigel ends up getting cornered by the Elasmotherium and the musth-crazed bull mammoth, both beasts appearing to stare each other down with Nigel stuck in the middle. The Elasmotherium backs down first, and this is fortunate because Nigel's snowmobile is right next to it. Nigel himself proceeds to outrun the bull mammoth as he makes his way to the snowmobile, putting a great amount of distance between himself and the beast.
  • Sometime later, Nigel decides to bring the Elasmotherium back to the park along with the grasses he got for Martha. As he did with Terrance and Matilda, Nigel lures the creature into charging at him, managing to outrun it and lock it in a paddock.
  • After his second trip to the Ice Age, Nigel realizes that Martha isn't eating the prehistoric grass he got for her because she's all alone, which is making her depressed. Since Martha is the only one of her kind at the park, he, Bob, and Suzanne do the next best thing: introducing her to the matriarch of the park's elephant herd. It works perfectly, and the end of the episode features Martha happily chowing down on some grass with her new herdmates.

Episode 3 "Dinobirds"

  • There are several stand-out moments in this episode:
    • Nigel saves the crewmember holding onto the food from being attacked by the Mei long by way of smacking one of them in the face, prompting them to scatter.
      • Sometime later, he approaches the Mei long when he sees them seemingly asleep, trying to wake them with zero fear. His pocket detector shows that the dinosaurs died of carbon monoxide poisoning, prompting him to start screaming for the crew to get to higher ground.
    • When the Titanosaurs begin stampeding after the volcano erupts, Nigel rushes to rescue a trapped Microraptor from being trampled by one of the panicking giants. With little time to react and nowhere to run, he literally uses himself as a shield to protect it. What's even better, the only injury the little dino gets is a clipped wing, which Suzanne easily patches up.
    • The climactic scene where the team manages to escape the volcano's eruption, volcanic ash raining down from the sky, carbon monoxide blanketing the atmosphere, and tremors constantly shaking the surface of the Earth. Thanks to Nigel's efforts, all of the Microraptors he caught are saved, along with the whole herd of Titanosaurs.
    • During the episode, Bob notices one of the female Ornithimimus is acting strangely. When he describes this behavior to Nigel, the latter tells him that she's being broody, as a mother bird does when building a nest for her eggs. An ultrasound confirms that the dinosaur is pregnant, and the next episode features the first baby dinosaurs to walk the Earth in 65 million years.

Episode 5 "Bug House"

  • Nigel is bitten by a Crassigyrinus scoticus (a prehistoric amphibian) early in his trip. After he catches the Meganeura, he dives into the swamp headfirst and manages to catch the "swamp monster", which struggles in his grip.
Nigel: Bit off more than you could chew, didn't you mate?
  • As a means to get Nigel's jeep out of the swamp, Bob and Nigel manage to tow it out by hitching it to a Titanosaur, which Bob rewards by feeding it stones to grind its food. As the narrator says, you have no need for a tow truck when you have a park full of dinosaurs at your disposal.

Episode 6 "Supercroc"

  • Nigel's mission for this episode is to bring back a Deinosuchus, a prehistoric crocodile that actively fed on dinosaurs. Watching the crocs winning a fight against a group of Albertasaurus (the great-great-great-grandfather of the T. rex) over a dead Parasaurolophus proves to Nigel once and for all that while dinosaurs may have ruled the planet, they didn't always rule the roost.
  • The entirety of the breakout is a nightmare for any zookeeper, especially when you're dealing with giant animals that are easily capable of killing you. Even so, it contains some of the best scenes in the whole series.
    • For starters, the two most famous prehistoric creatures of all time clash with one another, as Martha takes on Matilda and easily holds her own.
      • The context of how the battle takes place is awesome and heartwarming on its own. All episode, Martha was rejected by the elephant herd that originally accepted her for reasons unknown. When Matilda broke free, she frightened the herd so much that the matriarch's baby became isolated. As the calf ran for its life and Matilda was closing in for the kill, Martha comes charging in and places herself between the calf and the dinosaur, bellowing at the T. rex at the top of her lungs in a way that shouts "LEAVE HIM ALONE!". Best of all, this noble act wins her the gratitude and full acceptance of the herd.
      • For added awesome, Martha has literally never seen anything like Matilda before. Upon seeing this truly "alien" predator chasing the baby elephant, Martha doesn't hesitate to rush in and challenge Matilda to save the calf's life.
      • Nigel gets a small one right after the fight, as he not only stops it, but manages to lure Matilda into a safety pen, where she can no longer do any harm. It's partially subverted, as throughout most of the chase, the 6-ton T. rex is almost right on top of him.
      • This in turn leads to yet another moment of awesome. During their chase, Nigel leads Matilda in front of the pool that the Deinosuchus he brought back moments ago has taken up residence in. Since it's used to fighting theropods in its original time period, the giant crocodile lunges at Matilda with no hesitation, and while its attack fails, it stalls Matilda just long enough for Nigel to maintain his lead, thus saving his life.
