Awesome / Peter Pan Goes Wrong

Go To

  • After David Suchet is knocked out before he can perform his final narration, Lucy chucks off all the injuries she's racked up and takes over, finally overcoming her stage fright.
  • Max as the crocodile being recognized as the true hero of the story.
  • Chris finally succeeding in his epic struggle to uncork the bottle of poison with his hook. So much effort goes into it and he comes near to tears when his first attempt fails, but the catharsis of his success is wonderful... and then he realises he still has to uncork the medicine.
  • Honestly, every single character deserves a round of applause simply for making it to the curtain call. Throughout the show, they deal with wardrobe malfunctions, personal drama flaring up at the worst time, the set collapsing, technical difficulties that could potentially stop the performance in its tracks, and multiple actors getting severely injured while onstage. But does any of that cause them to quit? Hell no. The Show Must Go On, and — almost despite themselves — they actually manage to get through it. Special mentions go to Robert being lit on fire, Jonathan falling several stories, Annie nearly being electrocuted to death, and just about every single monstrously awful thing that happens to poor Lucy.
  • Robert passing Chris the medicine bottle by placing it on the toy train and rolling it over is a genuinely impressive improvisation.
  • The scene where Tinkerbell is revived through the power of belief plays out just as awesomely as it would in a normal performance. Peter plans to drink his medicine before going to rescue Wendy since he had promised to do so, despite Tinkerbell's protests not to since Hook had poisoned it earlier. They end up getting into a fight over the medicine — and Annie ends up getting electrocuted when the liquid makes contact with the electrical lights on her costume. Even though it looks like she won't wake up, the nervous, heavily-injured Lucy chooses to pick up where Jonathan left off in the script and leads the audience in starting the famous chant that they believe in fairies. This slowly but surely leads to everyone on stage joining in (even Robert — who had initially told Lucy to grow up — starts clapping, as does Chris, who is playing Hook)... and as if by magic, Annie ends up regaining consciousness as the audience explodes into applause.
