Awesome / Patrol 03

• Shorty, Carmen, and Wilfred became members of the Los Diablos Police Department after passing a test. Said test involved taking down a ferocious, heavyweight champion gorilla. They accomplish this by launching Shorty to curl around him like a rope, Wilfred biting down his sharp claws, and Carmen rushing to handcuff him.
• Also in the pilot episode is their rescue of a cat baby, who almost falls to his death. Wilfred throws himself to cushion the baby's fall, Shorty moves to catch the baby with his ear when he bounces off, and Carmen collects the baby in a catcher's mitt when Shorty drops.
• Snap's various gadgets and implements put into Patrol 03's Cool Car also bear mention. The guy was even capable of turning it into a makeshift helicopter.
• There's also their little game of keep away from Pamela, to keep her from sabotaging the mayor's soccer ball. Especially since they manage to keep Pamela distracted and sneak the ball away from location to location quickly and without her noticing. Also counts as a Funny Moment.
• When the hiccup monster cuts off their ability to drive after it, by forming hills in the road, Carmen merely exits the car and continues the pursuit in her wheelchair, going around the hills with precision.
  • This is a recurring thing for Carmen. One occasion had her pursuing Hyena in his car and ramming him into Snap's repair yard, to catch him with the giant magnet. Another has Bondani stranding Patrol 03 in the desert, only for Carmen to grapple her car and follow her back to the hidden passageway to Molo's lab.
  • On a related note, they once stop a runaway schoolbus from crashing into a train, using the car's wench at the back and Carmen's wheelchair at the front. The thing really is a Super Wheelchair.
• Upon finding Molo's mobile lab, Wilfred immediately deduces that the electrical monster of the episode is a negatively-charged one, and develops a positively-charged counterpart to throw it off. He's got Genius Bruiser moments, alright.
• Pamela gets a moment in the pilot when Molo sicks a fly monster onto her. She effortlessly defeats it by kicking the utter crap out of it, until it shatters.
• While disguised as luggage to watch over the mayor, Patrol 03 are unwittingly tossed aboard a departing plane. They respond by parachuting out in the suitcases, themselves-even managing to land, however unwittingly, atop Bondani.
  • In general, Patrol 03 puts Toon Physics to awesome use. They commandeer an ice cream cart to pursue Joe Bull and Hyena, using a row of palm trees to pursue them from the air. It doesn't work out, but still, kudos for trying.
• During the climax of the Diabolik episode, Patrol 03 manage to wrangle the possessed Wilfred, get Diabolik under control, and then turn his abilities of Demonic Possession onto Pamela, to foil her smear campaign against the mayor.
• In another episode, Shorty approaches Bondani and actually manages to intimidate her by threatening exposure of her connection to Molo. While it fails to expose her and Lt. Rhino laughs off the accusation, it's satisfying to see Shorty visibly make her sweat, without her threatening him or weaseling her way out of the conversation.
