1999:

  • The ladder match between The Hardys and Edge and Christian redefined fast-paced, high impact matches for the next decade. Both teams received a standing ovation after the match...and' the next night on Raw as well. Matt and Jeff would subsequently get another standing ovation following a tables match with the Dudley Boyz.

2005:

  • After his World Heavyweight Championship match with Eddie Guerrero, Batista led the crowd in singing Eddie a happy birthday. This took place after the event went off the air, but is still a Crowning Moment Of Heartwarming. And a bit of a Tear Jerker when you consider that the event was Eddie's last PPV appearance.

2016:

  • The Miz and Dolph Ziggler put on match of the night and a Match of the Year contender in their bout for the Intercontinental Championship, with Ziggler's career on the line if he lost. The two men displayed unbelievable chemistry, and Ziggler managed to overcome not only interference from Maryse, but also a run-in by the Spirit Squad. Then, when the ref ejected Maryse and the Spirit Squad from ringside, Ziggler took advantage of an upset Miz by drilling him with a superkick and finally, finally ending his championship drought and saving his career. Daniel Bryan would later say that that match should have been the one to close out the show (the actual final match of the night was Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt; the WWE championship match kicked off the show due to being on the same night as one of the presidential debates).

2017:

  • In a Raw Tag Team Championship match with Sheamus against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, Cesaro took a slingshot bump badly by smashing his head into the ring post. The impact pushed his two front teeth up into his gums and caused him to bleed from the mouth for the rest of the match. Yes, the rest of the match — meaning that Cesaro actually continued to perform after getting injured, all the way up to the match's scripted conclusion. At several points, he even played up his injury to the camera crew. And by the end, he had put on such an impressive performance that the rest of the talent gave him a standing ovation when he got backstage. All in all, this match was match of the night by a wide margin.
