    Season One
Episode 1 - Pilot
  • Buck nailing a bike rider with the firehose. Also chopping a giant snake to save a woman.
Episode 3 - Next Of Kin
  • Hen tackling the trunk driver after he drove the trunk holding the people.
Episode 4 - Worst Day Ever
  • Even though it gets her stuck on desk duty for a while, it was pretty awesome to see Athena track down Laila, the girl who was bullying her daughter, May.
    • It was also satisfying to see Athena slap the cuffs on Laila after she has the nerve to say that she's glad that May almost killed herself because of the bullying.
  • Athena's "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Laila's parents when they threaten to sue her.
Mrs. Creedy: Is this about revenge? Is that it? You got it in your head that Laila is somehow to blame for your daughter trying to kill herself?!
Athena: (stands up and glares at her) Don't you talk about my daughter.
Mr. Creedy: You should have come to us if you had concerns.
Athena: What, like the other parents who complained to you about "Satan" over there? Yeah, that's right, I talked to 'em, and I know you did nothing, not a single. Damn. Thing. Nada…
Mr. Creedy: Okay, I've heard enough about what you think—!
Athena: You wanna know why your daughter's sitting in that cell? You failed. Your daughter is a nightmare because the two of you are a nightmare. Now get the Hell out of my station.
Episode 8 - Karma's A Bitch
  • The big game hunting dentist ending up the prey of a tiger he aggravated by throwing pinecones at. Especially if you are an animal lover.

    Season Two
Episode 3 - Help Is Not Coming
  • Following the earthquake, Maddie and several other trainees are put to work, clearing the lines of nuisance calls and passing the important ones along. She gets one from a man whose wife went into labor, but passed out after hitting her head. She and her supervisor realized the couple can't get to a hospital, and first responders can't get to them. Her solution: send them to a fire, where the already-present medics can treat the woman.
Episode 10 - Merry Ex-Mas
  • The 118 giving the Marine returning home from his tour of duty a lift to his daughter's Christmas recital, allowing him a chance to change from his blood-stained formal uniform into his camouflage fatigues in the engine, and escorting him into the recital to watch him reunite with his daughter and wife so the family get their Earn Your Happy Ending with the father and husband safely home from deployment.
Episode 12 - Chimney Begins
  • In 2005 while working at a bar with his friend Kevin, Chimney sees a woman catching on fire and immediately saves her life, and everyone else's, realizing that being a firefighter and paramedic is his calling.
Episode 13 - Fight Or Flight
  • After spending the whole episode fearful for her life, Maddie manages to get away from her abusive husband. When he does catch her, he starts hitting her again, determined to kill her. Only armed with a fireplace tool, she manages to subdue him. And that's not even getting to the fact that while he's trying to beat her down when finding her, she finally gets the upper hand by stabbing him in his neck and sides, finally killing him. When we next see Doug, he's in a body bag.
    • Take note as well that despite the fact she was close to passing out and nearly dying in the snow after ending Doug, Maddie still pushes herself to get up and find help, determined to not die like this. And she succeeds.
Detective: It's a miracle she made it out alive.
Athena: It's no miracle. That woman fought like hell.
Episode 14 - Broken
  • The computer-assisted directions used by the 911 center goes down, so they kick it old school, with paper maps and landlines, until the problem is solved.
    • Maddie realizes the system failure is not a hack, but the result of an electrical fire overheating the generators, based only on address sounding familiar.
  • Chimney calling in air support to save everyone at Doherty Park via one of the CALFIRE C-130 Hercules water tankers, which dumps enough water down to put out all the fires. He may be still on medical leave, but he still did his duty as one of L.A. City's Bravest to help his comrades.
Episode 18 - This Life We Choose
  • As Buck lies trapped under a wrecked fire truck, scores of bystanders watch and hear the firefighters yell there's no way to move it. As one, over twenty people break the barricades and race over to help the firefighters lift the truck, clearly paying back for all the times the crew have risked their lives to help people like them over the years.

    Season Three
Episode 9 - Fallout
  • Captain Nash risks being contaminated with radiation from Cobalt-60 ignited by a magnesium fire to save the driver of the hazardous waste truck, staying alone and trying to fight the blaze himself to protect the driver until the HAZMAT and liquid nitrogen units arrive. He succeeds, but the rest of 118 fear his Heroic Sacrifice could be lethal based on how much radiation he absorbed. Thankfully, the diagnosis shows he's still healthy despite the radiation exposure, although they are still wary of any long-term effects.
Episode 14 - The Taking of Dispatch 9-1-1
  • The dispatch officers working together to subdue their captors by using their combined smarts and on-the-fly thinking together to outsmart them is a HUGE moment of awesome.

    Season Four
Episode 5 - Buck Begins
  • After Maddie tells Buck the truth about their brother Daniel's leukemia and the reason Buck was even born, she chews out their parents for making her hide their late brother's existence from him his whole life.
Mrs. Buckley: What Were You Thinking?
Maddie: That my brother felt unloved, and alone, and I didn't want him to think it was his fault, so I told him.
Mrs. Buckley: Well, it wasn't your place!
Maddie: I'm not a kid anymore, you can't tell me my place.
Mr. Buckley: Watch the way you speak to your mother, this isn't her fault.
Maddie: It's not mine, either! You know, it wasn't my decision to pack up my dead brother's things, move to a new town and pretend like he never existed!
Mr. Buckley: We didn't have a choice! You don't remember what it was like! The way people looked at us, talked about us, judged us... for having Evan! And it only got worse after Daniel died. And your mother was in no state to deal with all that, so I thought… "Let's move!" Fresh start, for everybody!
Mrs. Buckley: You're not a mother yet. You don't understand that kind of loss, what it does to you!
Maddie: You disappeared into your grief and left me and Evan to fend for ourselves!
Mr. Buckley: Maddie, that's not fair. We tried
    Maddie: Not hard enough.
Episode 11 - First Responders
  • Josh taking full control of communications between police and fire to find and help a kidnapped girl being kept in a storage container, and arrest the perpetrator when they realize he's still in the vicinity. Using only the GPS locators on his monitor, the officers' and firefighters' reports of nearby containers' code-numbers and where they see the perp, and a purely mental map of the yard's hundreds of near-identical containers, he's able to guide them through the maze of boxes to make the arrest and save the girl.
    Season Five
Episode 5 - Peer Pressure
  • The "chainsaw on the shoulder blade and neck" dispatch call. Claudette is a terrible character and her hijacking the call from May is rude, sure, but the way she handles the call from asking the caller to respond by pressing button on the phone (since he can't verbally respond) to locating the victim via the crew's shouting heard from the victim's phone shows how experienced and quick-thinking she is.
  • May standing up to Claudette and refusing to hand over the suicidal teen's call, using her own experience to locate the teen and sympathizing with said teen.
Episode 17 - Hero Complex
  • Props to Chimney who, despite having his heart intentionally stopped twice and being resuscitated both times by that psycho Jonah, is able to use the time while Jonah is taunting Hen to set up an ambush with the defibrillator, so when Jonah has his Berserk Button pressed by Hen calling him a murderer and tries to deny it, we get this:
Hen: Then why is Chimney not breathing?!
(Jonah looks over with a Flat "What" / Oh, Crap! look when he hears the flatline, goes to investigate, and Chimney tasers him with the defibrillator pad, knocking him out cold)
  • Then when Athena and Bobby arrive, as soon as Jonah is brought out in cuffs, Bobby decks him and begins beating him up for deceiving him and threatening his men in Hen and Chimney, wanting Revenge before Athena and the other officers restrain him and Jonah is quickly stuffed in a cruiser and taken to prison.

    Season Six
Episode 18 - Pay It Forward
  • With Bobby, Hen, Chimney, and Eddie all injured Buck steps up to the plate, taking command of the 118 when they are caught in a bridge collapse. He within seconds takes command, issuing orders to Ravi and while Hen does briefly take back command Buck is in full control of the situation.
