ROAR!

• In this movie, round two between Alex and Nana — This time he fights back.
  • Though not very well... an old lady giving a full-grown male lion a tittie twister and a kick in the nuts has to be seen to be believed.
    • At least the penguins get revenge on behalf of all the animals when they wallop Nana later. As well as ram her with a jeep.
• The writers get one when the animals are searching for water, with these two incredibly clever lines that really put the important things in life into perspective:
  Gloria: Any water?
  Moto Moto: No, just more diamonds and gold.
• The "Alex on the Spot" scene. When Zuba was at gunpoint, Alex saves the day by reminding the hunters who he is: Alex the Lion! Just watch it.
• Pictured above: The prologue ends with Alex jumping up into the air as a cub and lands down on his pedestal as a grown lion, followed by letting out his signature roar! Pretty interesting in a way where Alex becomes a somebody where he can do his thing.
• Even if Nana is a jerk, she remains resilient in the face of potential danger when stranded with other strangers, and she rallies them together as a true New Yorker would, compounded with her shadow resembling the Statue of Liberty.
  Nana: If we can make it there, we can make it anywhere!
• The climax is worth mentioning.
  • After Alex succeeded in reminding them who he was, Nana was still determined to feast on him. She had her gun ready and took a shot, but the two lions were fortunately saved by the Zoosters and company on the monkey-powered plane.
  • Boarding, Alex suggests they leave before they're doomed; which was misinterpreted as he wanted them to break the dam.
  Marty: Skipper, Alex wants to take out the dam!
  Skipper: Alright! (over intercom) But it's his funeral.
  Marty: What?
  Skipper: Hard to port!
  Gloria: Aye-aye, Skippy!
  Melman: Bring it on! BRING IT ON! WHOO!!!
  • When the plane charges towards the dam, Nana runs out of bullets and swishes her handbag around and doesn't even flinch when it comes closer and breaks the dam, returning the water.
  Nana: Bring it on... bad kitties!
• Alex and his dad tricking Makunga by giving him Nana's handbag, then unleashing Nana to attack him. And considering what an utter bastard Makunga was in every single scene he was in, this was quite satisfying. Even better was their completely coy expressions, knowing the whole time they were going to give Makunga what he had coming.
