    Season 1: 3rd Life
  • After Scar becomes the first Red Name on the server, he quickly heads over to Renchanting to offer one final deal; their safety, plus free sand and cactus, in exchange for their Enchanting Table. However, Ren, despite knowing that Scar is fully capable of killing him now, puts his foot down.
Ren: This is the moment, where my mettle is tested. Where my integrity is tested. And I'm gonna have to say no, dude. I can't let my people down. I'm sorry, man.
  • Grian and Scar set a trap in front of Dogwarts, but because Grian didn't set it correctly, it fails to detonate... until Jimmy steps into the hole, setting off the trap anyway, killing himself and 2 others. Grian's cackle of delight is something to behold.
  • When Dogwarts approach the Flower Forest to strongarm them into an alliance, Jimmy — who is famously clumsy and needs Scott's help constantly — shows himself to be extremely protective of Scott in return. When Ren implies they may sacrifice one of Scott's lives on the altar, Jimmy jumps in to tell him that is not happening, burns their banner in front of them, and tells them to get lost.

    Season 2: Last Life
  • A small one goes to Lizzie on Day 2 who, after escaping from Joel (one of the Boogeymen of the day), bets on Joel in "You Bet Your Life" that he would be the first to become a Red Name because he'd probably get himself killed as the Boogeyman... and was almost immediately proven right, gaining four lives in one go. You can tell that she knows her husband well.
  • At the start of Day 8, Martyn is accosted by the voice of the Watcher, who's NOT happy that he failed to kill Grian in the last session. Martyn freaks out and runs away in a blind panic as the voice screams at him that he's failed them, and that the deaths of the other Southlanders were his fault. However, while in this state of complete panic, Martyn finally manages to stand up for himself.
The Watcher: It was NOT the way!
Martyn: Yeah?! And what if I don't LIKE your way?!
The Watcher: Do as we say...
    Martyn: WELL, WHY SHOULD I?!
  • Scott defying the Boogeyman curse and choosing to lose a life and go Red as opposed to killing anyone. The fact that he's the only known person to have ever defied the murder geas, all other seasons included, makes it extra impressive as it's more times than we can say for literally anyone else.

    Season 3: Double Life
  • Tango's efforts and eventual triumph in bringing said Warden to the surface on Day 3, dealing with difficulties such as the Wardens being unwilling to follow him and his connection issues causing them to despawn before he could nametag them, are equal levels of sheer awesome.
  • While it was accidental, on Day 4, Martyn and Joel manage to kill the Warden that Tango brought to the surface the previous episode. With fishing rods.note
  • Near the end of Day 4, when Joel and Etho threaten and attempt to burn Scar's Jellie Pandas, Scar leaps down from his and Grian's sky platform in the middle of the siege on it to confront them, and survives by water bucket clutching. Joel and Etho actually leave Scar alone for the rest of the siege, even complying by his orders to get out of the Jellie Panda Reserve.
  • Near the end of Day 5, Grian manages to drop a stalactite on Rendog's head as he walks into his own base, timing it perfectly despite not being able to see Ren. From Rendog's perspective, one moment he's walking in with full health and no sign anything is amiss, and the next moment he's seeing the Game Over screen.

    Season 4: Limited Life
  • On Day 2, Joel sets about to cure his Boogeyman curse (read: indulge in his bloodlust) by getting his revenge on Cleo for burning down the Bad Boys Manor. The Bad Boys then proceed to spend most of the session expanding their farm out to Entertainment Mountain under the ruse of making a Bread Bridge... only to drop a TNT minecart on unsuspecting victims. It's Crazy Enough to Work, killing both Cleo and Scar in one explosion.note  The Bad Boys may have a tendency to Poke the Poodle, but this is evidence to Beware the Silly Ones, even and especially in a series like this.
  • By Day 4, the number of Green Lives has dwindled to barely a handful, with most of the Yellow Lives being out for their blood... and more importantly, their life-time. Among them, however, Scott proves how ridiculously cracked he is at the 'Craft.
    • First of all, the fact that Scott is the last person to die a first death, barely outlasting Tango by a few minutes. Even then, he's going out on his own terms by arranging for Cleo to claim the life-time increase — an extra hour he only has due to being the Boogeyman at the start; if he weren't chosen as the first Boogeyman, he could have very well gone on for even longer without dying.
    • After this, he spends almost 20 minutes avoiding traps and running from bloodthirsty Yellow Names, a group which eventually grows to comprise 9 out of 14 people of the server actively hunting him down.
      • At one point, he's trapped on top of the Nosy Neighbours' tower and further climbs to almost build-limit, only to be shot down... then he water bucket-clutches on a cliff-side and swims into the river below.
      • By the end of the chase, Scott has at least half a dozen people vying for his blood, and even then, he goes out by having his own ally kill him from a pre-made arrangement, as opposed to giving anyone the satisfaction of hunting down and killing the second-to-last Green Name. Good game, Scott.
Skizz: Let me tell you something, Scott, I felt a little bit better after my failure [to kill you] when the entire server couldn't take you down.
  • After two seasons ending on an honorable death-match between the final few survivors and one more ending with a co-Last Survivor Suicide, it's impressive to see Martyn go full Combat Pragmatist and play to win, striking down both Scott and Impulse within about 10 seconds while they're caught off guard and winning the series. Granted, he's acting under at least some influence from the Watchers, but still.

    Season 5: Secret Life
  • On Day 2, Grian's task is to move doors around. He manages to move Lizzie's door in her house while she's two feet away from him while invisible.
  • On Day 3 as punishment for technically failing her task from the previous session, Gem is forced to re-roll for a hard task for the session. Her task then? To open the End portal. This requires her and her escort Scott to go to the Bastion in the Nether — the same one that Martyn died at last time — to farm Blaze rods for powder, not only to find the stronghold but also to create more Eyes of Ender should she need them, all while keeping Scott in the dark about why she needs to keep farming. And while she loses her first life in the Nether, it isn't to the Blaze rod farming. Even so, she completes the task by the end of the session, finding the portal and being lucky enough to only need 1 eye to fill it.
  • On Day 6, Grian and Etho are forced to re-roll for a hard task for the session for varying reasons. Their resultant tasks are collaborative — to respectively summon a Wither and bring a Warden to the surface, and have the two boss/boss-esque mobs duke it out in the middle of the map. While the task ultimately ends in multiple casualties, the fact that they manage to pull it off is quite impressive.
    • While in the Nether grinding for Wither Skeleton skulls, Grian takes several hits from Blazes and ticks down to half a heart of health. He proceeds to get his remaining skulls (admittedly with an increased drop rate by server set-up, but even so) and survive being on under 3 hearts for nearly the rest of the session.
    • Special mention goes to Scar, who accidentally aggros the Wither after it's spawned in. It chased him around the map for several minutes, raining destruction everywhere. Not only does Scar survive, he successfully leads the Wither to the Warden so they can fight each other instead. All with only two hearts lost.
    • Etho spends nearly all of the session carrying a bucket of milk with him, and downs it after being hit with the Wither effect at the end of the battle to negate its effects. Because of this, combined with receiving 20 hearts from the Secret Keeper for completing his hard task, he ends the session with all 30 hearts intact again with items to spare, i.e. with more hearts and the same number of lives he started the session with.
  • After four whole seasons, Jimmy finally manages to avoid being the first one out of the server, breaking the "Canary Curse" for real. Granted, he doesn't make it to the end of the session, but the fact he doesn't die first this season is more than we can say for all the past seasons up until this point.
  • The Boogeyman curse–induced Zombie Apocalypse on Day 7 has several moments that shine through:
    • Scar's stand-off at the start of the session. As Gem is trying to convince him to press a button and trigger a TNT minecart trap under his base, so that she can infect him as Patient One, Scar instead shoots the button with his bow, defusing the traps and sparing his life. They then proceed to have a series of back-and-forths where Scar repeatedly snipes Gem until he's able to escape and Gem is forced to flee. The fact Gem loses more of her Yellow Life health fighting Scar than for the rest of the session infecting everyone else is quite the feat and a testament to Scar's own archery skills in-game.
    • While trying to get back to his base, Joel is ambushed by Scar, Gem, and Etho, all of whom are infected by the Boogeyman curse. What follows is a battle where, despite being outnumbered 3-to-1 (and later 4-to-1 when Impulse also joins the ambush), Joel manages to use the terrain, his newly enchanted gear, actual zombies, and raw skill to hold out for a fairly long time. Although he is eventually killed, he makes the infected work for every heart taken off him. It's to the point that even Gem, the Patient Zero and de facto leader of the Infection, is impressed by his sheer tenacity.
    • Near the end of the session, Tango and Big B end up having to run from five different Boogey-zombies gunning for their blood, and Tango's last stand has him go up against Gem (who's renowned for being good in a fight), Skizz, and Scar. Despite being eventually taken down and him disparaging his own "massive PVP skills" afterward, it's still impressive for him to last quite a whilenote  in the fight and land a couple of crits on Gem on his way out of the Survivorsnote . All while being a self-proclaimed Non-Action Guy who prefers redstone and wrangling dangerous mobs to PVP, and being at a numbers and gear disadvantage to boot.
    • Cleo, Grian, and Scott being the only Survivors of the whole ordeal.
    • At the end of the session, Grian realises that he needs to check on his pet magma cube in order to complete his task. He successfully stealthes his way back to his base (with only Etho noticing him, who refuses to rat him out), confirms that his pet is okay, then sneaks to the Secret Keeper to complete his task and declare end of session.
  • Day 8 features Skizz pulling off an impressive kill on Scar with the use of TNT (Scar's own TNT that he gave Skizz to boot), stealth and some well-timed distractions provided by a wolf and a zombie. He carves a small hole into Scar's shack and places TNT, takes advantage of Scar's tendency to ramble and not pay attention to his surroundings, lights the fuse and bolts for it. He even gets a "cool guys don't look at explosions" moment as Scar blows up behind him. What makes this better is that the kill is motivated by revenge for Scar burning down the Heart Foundation base on Day 7.
  • On Day 9, Grian pulls off a masterful Batman Gambit, tricking Gem and the Scotts into following him into the Nether, only to trap their portal back and knock off a massive chunk of their collective health. Though the following PVP claims his life, he puts up one whopper of a fight considering he was outnumbered 3-to-1, and manages to take 91 hearts and the alliance's chance at winning down with him.
  • Also on Day 9, Scar plays the social game nearly perfectly. Starting the episode with few, if any, friends and not part of any alliance, he manages to pounce on the weak and keep the strong from killing him. He often takes Refuge in Audacity by simply joining groups of other players and offering them knowledge and items, carefully managing the social situation to keep the focus on other people, before working closely with Pearl to kill Gem and finally claiming victory.
