Awesome / It Came from Beneath the Sea

• Ray Harryhausen does the special effects, and they are amazing. Think of the work it took to manage a stop-motion monster with eight arms! Although thanks to budget constraints it was probably too much work as the octopus only has six arms.
• Combined with Heartwarming, the radio broadcast near the end of the film that takes time to offer praise to the the unsung heroes of the Octopus attack. Specifically referring to civilian defense volunteers and others who helped during the crisis.
