• The epic opening with Japanese instruments playing.
• The legend of the "Boy Samurai." It showcases how the story will essentially be about one heroic boy and a pack of dogs defying a clan of dog-haters.
• Chief's pack of dogs engaging in a dog fight between a rival group, and they come out victorious, even if Chief played dirty by biting off another dog's ear.
• Atari flying a plane on his own just to go and find his beloved dog.
  • Atari building a functional plane from scratch, just because it would get him home faster than waiting for rescue or building a raft.
  • Later, doing the same thing on a much larger scale by constructing enough rafts to float an entire population of dogs back to the mainland.
  • Note that the poor kid did all this with a chunk of metal logged in his skull.
• Nutmeg's tricks are pretty impressive, even without the props she claims she usually does them with.
• Spots taking out a whole pack of robot dogs with explosive military-issued teeth.
• Atari Says a Haiku. The background even showcases the emotional impact it had on the audience.
• Chief and co. taking on a patrol of high-tech wranglers, a robotic attack dog, and an airborne attack drone in an effort to protect Atari. The result; A pack of domesticated animals and a twelve year old boy cream an entire squad of Elite, state-of-the-art Dog-catchers.
• At the climax, Mayor Kobayashi tries to stop Major Domo from pressing the button that sets off the order to euthanize all the dogs on Trash Island. However, he isn't strong enough, and Domo manages to do it anyway. But after the button is pressed, instead of all the dogs being killed, the robot dogs go into harmless Trick mode, the devices for gassing the dogs malfunctions, and the tide turns as the dogs fight back. And it was all thanks to a certain hacker.
