Considering how invested Kugeki is in both the lore and action of this world, it only makes sense that there are awesome moments aplenty.

The video series

  • In Nakiri Ayame VS Amane Kanata, we get to see a dual-wielding oni duke it out with an angel that uses the light of the heavens as her weapon. By far, the highlight is when Kanata releases a Gate of Babylon-esque volley of light blasts, which Ayame then systematically dismantles with her anti-paranormal swords.
  • Gura's final trident toss in Gura VS Ina, showing the power of her still relatively untrained Predator Trait as not just Ina's tentacles, but the entire area is shattered just from her throwing it.
  • Takanashi Kiara VS Calliope Mori depicts Calli and Kiara's first meeting as a rather action-packed one, Calli being pissed off courtesy of Rushia. The highlight is when Calli is about to straight up kill Kiara (the fight occurs in the underworld, where her scythe is capable of a One-Hit Kill), when Enma jumps in and blocks it with her still sheathed katana.
  • Due to Fubuki VS Okayu and Korone not involving any special powers, Kugeki can't exactly flex her creativity with people's abilities... so she instead flexes her excellent fight choreography even more than usual with a 2v1 showdown between Okakoro and a Diva that's also a fellow member of GAMERS.
  • The entire shown fight between Towa and Botan in... well, Tokoyami Towa VS Shishiro Botan, from the initial shoot-out to Botan performing a point-blank Bullet Catch with her goddamn teeth.
    • In this same event, it turns out Aloe has actually one-shotted Kanata immediately... more on this below.
  • Just... the very premise of Amelia Watson VS HoloMyth. She really shows that despite effectively being an ordinary human, her unique brand of Time Master abilities through her watch is more than enough to handle the entire rest of her generation at the same time.
  • If the battle for "champion of middle management" was anything like Enma VS J-chad, we can all be certain that it was an absolute spectacle. Enma's ability to kill anything and multitude of Jigoku-themed sword techniques face off against J-chad's hand-to-hand prowess and effective inability to die, and it is glorious.
    • And apparently they had fought 1,998 times before, with this fight being the tie-breaker for Enma.
  • Kiryu Coco VS Roboco. A dragon in humanoid form VS "what if the T-X Terminator had a heart". Coco weathers out against Roboco's onslaught while dismantling her, until our favorite Robot Girl busts out the Bionic Bride and proceeds to obliterate any chances of winning that Coco may have had with her laser turrets.
  • Despite not being an action-focused episode, HoloEN meets HoloJP continues to make Aloe cooler even after her disappearance by backstory. It turns out that it wasn't just Kanata: she also took out Watame and then Towa, meaning Towa actually beat Botan before getting taken out by Aloe.
  • Hoshimachi Suisei VS Tokino Sora not only shows the fight that put Suisei amongst the ranks of the Seven Divas in a beautiful display of her abilities... but also shows exactly why Sora being referred to as the Satoru Gojo of Holo-Chronicles is as apt as it gets, with Suisei being unable to do anything against Sora herself when faced with her Purity Trait.
  • Moving onto the shorter episodes, A Necromancer's Recruitment shows Rushia summoning an entire army of undead to fight against Noel and Flare. And this is without the enhanced control over her powers granted by her Butterfly Wand. No wonder the girl's a Diva candidate...
  • The Snow Elf and The Dragon, taking place during the same Gen 4 VS Gen 5 team battle as Tokoyami Towa VS Shishiro Botan, shows Lamy holding Coco back from reaching Aloe through her Elemental Trait of Ice and Snow. It really is a Moment of Awesome for her, as according to the log in the description, she was able to damage Coco with her powers and even inflict hypothermia and frostbite that required Choco's help to heal from. Mind you, this was the same Coco than required an opponent on the level of the Bionic Bride to draw even the slightest amount of blood.
  • Ambush clarifies how exactly the encounter with Aloe, Watame, and Kanata in the aformentioned team battle went, and the description log clarifies what exactly Aloe's powers are. Safe to say, the Gen 4 pair didn't stand a chance, especially since the Voice of the Underworld was severely holding back.
  • Trading Blows continues off from the cliffhanger at the end of Kiryu Coco VS Roboco, with Coco transforming into her dragon form to face Bionic Bride Roboco. Yeah... let's just say that all that Coco's transformation did was make her a bigger target.
  • While Crime Scene is a somewhat more relaxed episode focused on Subaru's work as a police officer, it actively confirms something that was only hinted at prior. Specifically, the presence and relevancy of Holostars, with Shien running his mafia and it acting as a group of anti-heroes in the shadows.
  • Speaking of Subaru, Peacekeeper. Not only does the description log confirm her as effectively a Stand user, but she pulls a Big Damn Heroes moment and saves some people from a monster by smashing through a bay door with her metal baseball bat... even if the fight against it isn't shown.
  • Ina's Rampage is... a multitude of things, and cool most certainly is one of them. With the Ancient One Cthulhu taking over Ina's body and attacking Gura, Enma comes to the rescue with a repeat Diagonal Cut through her tentacles, ready to face the possessed Priestess of the Ancient Ones one-on-one.
    • The description log makes this even cooler. As Enma states in it, the Ancient Ones perceive any deities beneath themselves as nothing more than food due to how superior they are. Enma, as a local god of the underworld, counts as one of those, and she still went up against Ina, knowing full well that Cthulhu would be impossible to beat if let alone to regenerate its divinity and power. Doesn't matter that she's a woman, she's got balls.
  • The teaser for IRyS And Hakos Baelz tells us one this: our beloved Hope Bringer Nephilim is going to do something that will shake the entire Divine Realm. And if this new episode takes place after the cliffhanger of HoloEN meets HoloJP, then it's probably to perform the ultimate Big Damn Heroes moment and help prevent The End of the World as We Know It.
    • Once the full episode came out, the above prediction was shown to be more than correct. Not only is IRyS planning to go down to the Mortal Realm to stop Omegaα's destruction of the world, but she's also bringing the Council along with her.
    • Speaking of Omegaα, there's a villainous one of them. Even while at a mere fraction of his power, he was able to give IRyS the mother of all curbstomps. It really shows the sheer power difference between an Elder God and a regular deity.
  • Kugeki's return to fight animation with Calliope Mori VS Moona Hoshinova is something else. Moona continuously bombards Calli with orbs of lunar energy, which Calli cuts through with her scythe. And the description states that they were actually about to go all out, with Moona activating her domain while Calli was to use her full authority.
    • Keywords are "about to" though, since Suisei stopped Moona from activating her Lunar Lantern and Roboco KO'd Calli before she could make use of her authority. Two extremely powerful individuals taken out of combat just like that. It really shows how the Seven Divas are on a different level.
    • Then, when Kiara was about to get involved, AZKi sent her to another dimension before she could even take one step. That's the second strongest talent under Sora for you.
  • IRyS VS Hakos Baelz:
    • It reveals just how ridiculously overpowered the gods are, with IRyS' complete inability to lose (although losing specifically refers to dying for her) being put up against all the insanity expected of facing the literal embodiment of chaos.
    • Speaking of Bae, she almost killed IRyS regardless. Yeah, if Mumei hadn't gotten herself and IRyS out of there, the nephilim would've been toast. That was a split-second difference between them getting out successfully and the Victory Trait not mattering for shit... though at the same time, it might have bought IRyS exactly the time needed and not a second more.
  • Gawr Gura VS Anya Melfissa is a return to the melee-focused choreography of Fubuki VS Okayu and Korone, and really shows off how far Kugeki's come. From the fencing-esque start of the fight to Anya's bouncing through the air to the surprise manifestation of Gura's Superpowered Evil Side, every moment of the fight is pure coolness.
    • The second part keeps it all going full blast, with even more intense choreography courtesy of a now-berserk Gura. Not only does the episode show off just how much stronger she is compared to her normal self, but it even teases a fight between Gura and Suisei at the end.
  • Ninomae Ina'nis VS Airani Iofifteen is a fight between two magic artists, and it does not disappoint. Ina definitely holds the advantage in raw power, but Iofi's creativity and Ina's own lack of knowledge on her opponent caused her to lose the fight. As Kugeki herself said, though, if Ina knew what her opponent's ability was, she would've easily won.
    • On that note, despite Ina's disrupted mental state due to casting one of her spells, the Ancient One does not take over to continue the fight. Roboco speculates that, due to the presence of AZKi, Miko, and the Sora clone summoned by Iofi, it actually chickened out.
  • Flashback (description lore dump notwithstanding) only really says one thing, but it's actually pretty huge. Suisei made the pre-evolved berserk Gura feel fear, when she seemed incapable of it prior. Sora also pulled it off before the berserk Gura recognized what it was, but then again, it's Sora.
  • A Fateful Encounter includes quite a few moments of awesome from both the hero and villain side.
    • First off, it turns out that the destruction of the city (confirmed to be Chonqing) was a lot more thorough than what was thought possible. Not only is there no traces of etherial energy (which always remains in the area after someone's death and cannot be destroyed as a "metaphysical force"), but everyone around it that doesn't have a trait treats the city as if it had never existed. It's an absolutely terrifying display of Omega's power.
    • Then there is the titular encounter. As Sora, A-chan, and Rushia are all talking about the situation, a sudden pressure overcomes the latter two. They immediately recognize it as the presence of gods, and rather powerful ones at that. Sora, however, is unaffected (possibly due to her Purity Trait), casually flying over to the observing Mumei and IRyS. The nephilim is put on the verge of passing out from her presence alone, and as the ribbon in her hairclip has its outline fill with red and her eyes flicker a familiar gold, Sora speaks a familiar, and terrifying, line...
Sora: Are you two... the enemy?
  • Oozora Subaru VS Houshou Marine is an extremely hype fight that shows what happened during Gen 3's recruitment. While the entire sequence is choreographed beautifully, a definite highlight would be the Cliffhanger ending: Subaru having just slammed Marine away with the help of her Guardian Entity, when Marine gets up, takes off her eyepatch, and gets ready for round 2 with her Eyes of Rebellion active.
  • The teaser for Truth And Conflict has one very notable moment: A-chan blocks a head-on attack from Sora, stopping her from attacking IRyS and Mumei. Really shows why exactly she was chosen as the strongest mortal's manager.
    • While the special teaser did roll over into Tear Jerker territory with Sora's broken state after the Pioneers vanished and... the entire Bad Future description, there is one undeniably cool thing: IRyS and Mumei will be working together with Holo-City to handle the coming threat. The Advent of Omega has begun.

The Discord side stories

  • Botan notes a kidnapping from a good distance away, dropping her ramen shop for a moment to see what's happening. After seeing that a pair of smugglers are taking away a demihuman child, she proceeds to kick one of them into a wall before knocking the other one out with sheer Killing Intent.
Botan: Scumbag. You're lucky there's a child here. Your innards would be all over that wall.
  • Matsuri ends up setting up a sparring match between Aqua and three members of the Apex Division. Specifically, the Cattleya Regina Squad: Tosaka Mimi, Asumi Sena, and Hanabusa Lisa. With precision that borders on mechanical, Aqua proceeds to effectively dominate the trio despite their excellent teamwork, pulling off feats like dodging a silenced sniper round that was already right next to her. Mind you, the Apex Division was specifically designed to handle rogue talents, not monsters, and despite that, Aqua could've likely won if not for the match being called off right at the climax. Really shows how she came to be known as the Mad Dog.
    • The Mad Dog's rampage continues into another side story training exercise, in which a team in the Apex Division is working together with Aqua to take down Ex Albio, pretending to be a rogue talent. Despite acting as a lone wolf for most of it, she still proceeded to pretty much obliterate the match without much difficulty.
  • While taking care of an individual who wandered into Holo-City, Hakuse Ifu ended up noticing multiple thugs outside of it, going out to check on them. The thugs had captured a demihuman family, the father already dead. Before Ifu could end up doing anything of note, Fubuki comes in and cuts one of their heads clean off before getting the hostages out of the way and proceeding to slowly and painfully kill the four remaining thugs with nothing but her Killing Intent, which was felt within a radius of 30 miles even by those it wasn't directed at.
    Thug: You damn monster!
Fubuki: Monster? Hmm, I guess to people like you... I can be a monster of your nightmares...
