    General
  • Doubles as Funny. Despite her character being socially awkward due to her upbrining, throughout the campaign, Laira had been delivering great conversations or speeches while still being in-character. Laira, both in and out of character, lampshades on this ironic fact.
  • Whenever Buck succeeds on his "All or Nothing Coin", it is to be celebrated because it counts as a Nat 20.

    Session 1-5: Sacia Arc
  • The battle against Elias Verdugo is the first major boss fight of the game. Not only is the party have to fight Elias in his dragon form, but they must struggle through all the gimmicks used in the temple's other rooms: the teleportation circles, the magic circle traps, the illusionary warriors, the greasy floors, the water, the flamethrowing devices, and the boulders. The party had to navigate through them, survive them, or use them to their advantage.
    • After dealing a critical attack on Elias, Buck was able to use his maul to send Elias flying towards the other side of the room despite the latter's large size.
    • The final blow was done by Fritz, who set the greasy floor where Elias was on fire. Thanks to Elias' dragon form taking multiple square tiles of burning greasy floor, it dealt enough fire damage to take the dragon down.

    Session 6-9: New Bascay Arc
  • When Wurd tries to convince Buck to team up to cheat at the casino's roulette in order to win a Bag of Holding, Buck firmly turns it down because the gambler is against cheating. This fact gives Buck more credit when he confronts Aurelia for trying to cheat a drunk Fritz out in a game of roulette.
  • While Wurd is unable to cheat in the casino because of Buck turning him down and Wurd being tagged with Faerie Fire for using magic inside the casino, he was still able to use his Unseen Servant to steal some money from the casino.
  • The gladiator battle between the party and Cecilia & her team in the coliseum is essentially a fantasy-version of a wrestling cage match. It comes with hot coal floors, wooden bridges, stone pillar platforms, and chairs & tables for hurting each other with!
    • Laira's summoned a bird that had been dealing a lot of damage to one of Cecilia's allies, putting him in a serious corner.
    • Doubles as Heartwarming. Using his Bonus Action Dash and Mage Hand, Wurd was able to pass a Healing Potion to a wounded Buck after the latter suffered some serious injuries by Cecilia.
    • While Buck had an Epic Fail in forming a RKO on Cecilia, he was able to finish off Cecilia immediately after that. It starts off with Cecilia laughing at Buck for crashing onto the ground. It then followed up with Wurd interrupting the gladiator with a shoulder tap, leading Cecilia to get distracted into going back to trying to punch Wurd. Wurd then pointed behind Cecilia, causing her to turn around just in time for her to see Buck back on his feet and smacking his mallet towards the gladiator to knock her out.
  • Cecilia is shown to be able to tank a lot of attacks in her dragon form when she draws most of the Bloats' attention away from the fleeing civilians and escorting guardsmen. She even capable of hardening her scale upon being badly injured.
  • During the Bloat attack near New Bascay, the party were able to utilized their skills to help fend off the Bloat while assisting the civilians and soldiers in their evacuation
    • Laira is shown as the MVP with her several lucky rolls, her Flyby (from Summon Beast), and her own frightening strength as a large owl beast.
    • Buck got a lucky draw with his Wild Magic Rage, as his currently ability lets him slow down nearby enemies with difficult terrain. And since this doesn't affect allies, this allows the nearby civilians to flee from the Bloat easier.
    • Wurd used Butterscotch to dash deep within the Bloat attack, and then lent his horse to a handful of people so that they can escape.
  • Despite reluctantly saving Andre from the Bloat, Wurd got to grind the old man's ego by insulting Andre's bad personality and forcing him to beg for help.
  • Thanks to the party's encouragement and standing up for her, Cecilia is able to stand up against her father. And when her dad still continues to be a complete jerk to her, she finally shuts him up with a single punch to knock him out.
  • Wurd's idea to buy the Soft Shore's Inn so that it can be secretly used to gather information in New Bascay like the new lord Nicholas Tejero and the Underthrone Society's movement in the city is pretty smart. Even Paula the Rattler was so impressed with her new boss' sly plan that she was all-in with the idea.

    Session 10-16: Pallitrios Arc
  • Despite Lucia being able to get a massive head-start in running away from the party thanks to her Misty Step spell, Wurd and Fritz were able to quickly catch up thanks to Wurd's Bonus Action dash, Fritz's carry-and-throw Wurd tactic, and Fritz's Gust of Wind on Wurd.
  • After having to flee from the humanoid Bloat back at Session 5, the party was able to defeat the monster despite the latter preparing an ambush.
    • After learning that the Bloat was after the dragon's hearts, Laira made sure to keep all the hearts in order to centralize it. And when the humanoid Bloat tried to take them from her, Laira used her Shifter ability so that the hearts hidden in her clothing would be a part of her body when she shifts into an animal. This means the Bloat would have to kill her first before it can be able to take the hearts from her.
    • When the Bloat attempted to paralyze Wurd with the same trick it did with Buck in the past, Wurd was able to resist it.
  • It is satisfying when Fritz not only finally confronted her birth father and got answers from him on why she was abandoned, but also called out him on his abandonment being more out of cowardliness than being for her own sake. She was able to handle the situation somewhat maturely, and even got him to apologize for abandoning her as a child.
  • The fight against the gigantic Collector Warforge is pretty exciting thanks to Buck using a potion to become as large as the dangerous warforge, as well as the massive damage Wurd and Buck dealt to the warforge during the fight.
  • Laira giving an enraged "The Reason You Suck" Speech towards Lord Eufrasia. The lord accused the party of forging evidence against Trevesetta because of the party's hatred towards that city. Laira proceed to angrily counter that by saying that it makes no sense for the party to go through the trouble of forging evidence after surviving a potential death trap (and without Sergi's help because the lord herself prevent Sergi from joining the party in the ruins). Furthermore, Laira pointed out that the person the party is 'supposedly framing' is someone who is already confirmed to be guilt for another crime. So, as Laira puts it, Lord Eufrasia's logic is completely ridiculous. Even Sergi sided with the party on this fact.
  • The party got to witness Sergi transform into his dragon form when Sergi gave the train a needed boost to get started. It is cool to see the small Warforge being able to transform into such a large mechanical dragon, especially with the knowledge that Sergi had to build his own dragon form when he became dragon of Pallitrios.
  • The Bloat attack on the train stands out because the Humanoid Bloat attacked the train with a massive conglomerate of Bloat that at first blocked that trains path, and then clung on to the back of the train.

    Session 17-?: Trevesetta Arc
  • The Stealth-Based Mission of gathering three medical flowers from a cave populated with sleeping land sharks called Bulettes. Not only were the pilgrims being able to gather a surplus of flowers, but they were also able to escape without needing to fight the Bulettes despite Wurd sabotaging the mission by attacking a sleeping Bulette with an explosive egg.
  • Despite some issues with a scam that Wurd and his minions were doing, the thieves were able to steal a hefty amount of gold from an impressive looking guard.
  • Despite the party falling into a daunting trap by Tyrell, Laira was able to completely foil Tyrell's efforts to open a portal to the gods in order to usurp them.
    • First, Laira was able to hold on to one of the dragon hearts that were being magically stolen by Tyrell. Second, she escaped her magical cage by using Misty Step. And third, she turned into a panther in order to knock the weather witch prone and relinquish another of the dragon hearts. With only one dragon heart left, Tyrell attempted to open a portal to the gods. However, what came out of the portal wasn't a god, but a Beholder. And with only power from just one dragon heart, Tyrell wasn't able to escape from the Beholder and got petrified by it. So it was all thanks to Laira that Tyrell got soundly defeated.
  • The fight against the Beholder and its minion of gazers is intense for the party due to how deadly the large monster is.
    • The Beholder has access to an array of dangerous eye beams that can deal large damage or inflict all sorts of status ailments, and which eye beam it chooses it randomized with a dice. Furthermore, it has an anti-magic cone that can be only disabled for one turn if the monster takes enough damage. And with a seemingly endless army of gazers flooding out of the portal, the party would have to joggle between attacking the Beholder, attacking the gazers, shutting down the portal, and healing themselves.
    • The Beholder made it clear how strong it is when it easily petrifies Tyrell, who had a dragon heart powering her. While Jocat said that Tyrell could have escaped from the Beholder if she had at least two dragon hearts, having the power of even one dragon heart is nothing to sneeze at as it was enough to create the very portal that allowed the Beholder to appear.
    • Despite being bombarded by the Beholder's disintegrating ray and the gazer's eye beams in just one turn, Laira was able to survive with just enough health to stay standing.
    • The party just so happened to shut down the portal while the Beholder was midway through it. As a result, the portal cut off the Beholder when it was shut down, finishing the monster off.
  • When Buck tried to apologize for getting the party caught in Tyrell's trap and Wurd was about to forgive him, Fritz cuts them off by telling off Buck for almost getting Laira killed. Fritz made it clear that a simple apology isn't going to cut it. This was an important factor that led to Buck finally being forced to reveal to the rest of the party about his obsessive hunt for Lady Luck.
  • On their way to a meeting with Lord Nicholas, the pilgrims were interrupted by a female Hobgoblin pleading for help. The pilgrims decided to help out, but one of the guards escorting them refused to let them help her because 'it is none of their business'. Laira rebuked him by saying that helping people is supposed to be a pilgrim's business, especially since saving the Life Tree counts as helping people. And when the guard said that saving the Life Tree is completely different from helping a random civilian, Laira shut him up by saying that the guard can decide that when he is a pilgrim next time. Laira's remark was so good that even the DM was left speechless.
  • Wurd was able to establish a partnership with Borja, the former owner of Tirog Alchemy. In addition, he was able to get the alchemist to craft two purified Tummy Bomb potions for free in exchange for Borja keeping one of the Tummy Bombs for himself.
  • When Wurd tried planting one of his magic beans in his new plot of land in Trevesetta, it ended up creating a geyser of magma. Under normal circumstance, that would sound bad. However, in Trevesetta, having access to magma means having access to thermal energy. So Wurd struck rich by pure chance.
  • Despite being threatened at blade-point by Father Omar and the Underthrone Society into ceasing any further meddling, Buck was to stand firm against them and call out the priest's bluff.
  • Wurd was able to win the Ring of Fortitude from the Cameleonair's Gacha-Gacha ring machine by rolling a 100 on a 1d100. The ring gives the wearer the ability to reduce an attack's damage down to just one hit point, and this can be done once per long rest.
  • Wurd was able to correctly deduce that Torrellan had been fed Bloat by the Underthrone Society based on how Torrelan's 'sickness' arrived after waking up with a temporarily sore throat and how Torrelan would bled the same liquid as Bloat. Laira is taken aback when her high Medicine check comfirm that Wurd was on the right track.
  • The party found out that Pavita's dragon form is a golden dragon with a body similar to that of an insect and several green wings on her back.
    • We also had a glimpse of how strong Pavita is as the part found the carcass of a chimera that the dragon had killed previously.
    • While the party were airborne on Pavita's back, they could see the corpse of a hydra-like monster. This monster was potentially also killed by Pavita.
  • Out of the party, it was Wurd who became enraged upon learning that Pavita ran away from Trevesetta because the dragon couldn't help the responsibility of being the dragon anymore. It led to the rogue giving Pavita "The Reason You Suck" Speech and even considering attacking the dragon for the perceived cowardliness and selfishness.
  • Using his Ring of Certainty, Wurd was able to start planning out the groundworks for a coup in Trevesetta. His plan is to persuade the prisoners into helping overthrow Lord Nicolas by acting as spies. And using the pilgrims' fame for curing one of the plague victims, Wurd can also motivate the lower classes into joining the resistance. And so, using his high Deception and Laira's Eagle's Splender, Wurd was able to pass the high DC of 19.
  • While the party was talking to Captain Arzire discretely, Fritz tried to persuade the captain to remove his guard's earpiece and talk to the pilgrims as a person rather than a soldier. Fritz proceeded to roll a Nat 1 on her Persuasion, but refusing to accept the roll, she used up her Inspiration. In addition, Laira gave Fritz advantage on her Persuasion. Three more rolls later, Fritz was able to get a Nat 20 and successful convinced Arzire to talk them them on a personal level.
  • During the fight against a large goliath guard, Wurd's first attack ended up dealing a LOT of damage. To illiterate, Wurd attacked the guard with his fire-enhanced Negotiation knife (which is coated in flammable oil) while dealing additional sneak attack damage. In total, Wurd dealt a total of around 26 damage on the first round! And that's not taking into account that the guard now has burning oil on him, dealing additional fire damage over time.
Jo: Damn, I didn't know knives had explosive rounds.
