Per wiki policy, all spoilers on this page are unmarked. Tread carefully.

  • The once-in-a-lifetime event in which the rocket launched from Omega's base and ripped several holes in spacetime (one of which is permanent), heavily implied to have something to do with the Visitor and setting the stage for Season 5.
  • When the mysterious cube rolled over towards Loot Lake, which then became a gigantic bounce pad. What was once one of the worst areas to travel through was now one of the best.
  • The mere fact that Epic Games managed to get Thanos into Fortnite. Somehow made even more awesome by the way they handled it. No foreshadowing, no pre-event teasers or hype - Epic Games just took their weekly Limited Mode and casually dropped in one of the most iconic villains of all time. And as of June 26, 2021, Thanos is now a skin in the shop!
  • Kevin the cube exploding, sending the players to a white void with a rift in the shape of a butterfly. Cue the character reaching out to touch the the butterfly in-game! Quite a few players prepared to watch it by building up their own viewing towers and gathering at the top regardless of which side they were on.
  • On January 19, 2019, the Ice King freezes the entire map.
  • On February 2nd, 2019, a special event was held - a concert by EDM artist Marshmello. And it was GLORIOUS.
  • On May 4th, 2019, players were taken into the mysterious Nexus through the UFO opening, and allowed an opportunity to unvault a weapon of their choice (the Grappler, the Drum Gun, the Stormwing, the Bounce Pad, the Tactical SMG, and Infinity Sword) by destroying the pillar it was trapped in. The Drum Gun was chosen by a landslide. Once that was done, everyone was shot out of the Nexus, just in time to witness the volcano erupting, shooting fireballs that destroyed the business district in Retail Row, cracked the mountain in Polar Peak, and completely annihilated Tilted Towers. (Except for, ironically, the building that had been destroyed repeatedly throughout the previous seasons.)
  • On July 20th, 2019, the giant robot being built through the whole season (revealed to be named Mecha Team Leader) was finally deployed. It did battle with the giant monster that was under Polar Peak, taking heavy damage and losing an arm in the process, before finally finishing it off by impaling it through the head with a giant Infinity Sword, of which the statue in Neo Tilted was the hilt of. After doing a brief one-armed Floss, it saluted everyone and flew off into the atmosphere.
  • In September 2019, DC Comics/Warner Bros. and Epic Games teamed up to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Batman, with a limited-time series of challenges and purchasable cosmetics (with both cosmetics from the comics and the Dark Knight trilogy). While this is neat on its own, this also means that we all have material representing Marvel and DC Universes appearing together for the first time since LittleBigPlanet 2.
    • It gets crazier from here. As of December 14th 2019, not only are there Star Wars cosmetics in this game, lightsabers and blasters became available for a bit over a week, which are totally usable with the many other crossover cosmetics released up to that point... Including the aforementioned Batman and Catwoman skins, which, considering Disney and Warner Bros. are now dueling publishers, this will probably the closest we'll get to a crossover between Star Wars and the DC Multiverse aside from the aforementioned LittleBigPlanet.note
    • You thought Epic were done with Guest Fighters? Think again - to celebrate the release of Birds of Prey, we now have Harley Quinn herself joining the fight, with both her Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey designs available. She even comes with both her baseball bat and mallet as harvesting tools!
  • The live event of season X. The Visitor's Reset Button gambit has finally approached the exact moment he planned to activate it, summoning a large salvo of interdimensional rockets not unlike the one that started everything in the first place to destroy the Zero-Point caused by the vault's destruction. As the rockets bombard the areas affected by the time-displacing devices before finally assembling in formation to deliver a concentrated blast to the Zero-Point using the same vibrant effects as the rifts, before the rockets line up behind the frozen meteor, creating a rift big enough for it to be unfrozen and into the rift. Then, after a moment a silence, cue a rift forming where the star the Mecha Team Leader created, with the first rocket creating an explosion that knocks everyone away from the island, before the meteor, guided by the six other rockets, crashes straight into the Zero-Point, before it, nay, the entire universe collapses into the resulting singularity, taking the game with it, leaving behind only a black hole seemingly transporting everyone to the new universe as everything from the past is left behind. Annihilated. Class X-4'd. Nuked off the face of the cosmos. The End.
  • The implosion that destroys the universe lasted for just under three days. And when Chapter 2 was finally released on October 16th, players found themselves quite literally thrown into the fray. The intro video plays, ending with Jonesy jumping out of the battle bus, the screen going white... revealing that you are now playing as Jonesy in his new default outfit, flying down towards the new island and IMMEDIATELY going into battle, with the kickass-sounding Ruckus by Konata Small playing as you dive down. In addition to that, most of the map is grayed out, which means you learn each location as you go, giving you a sense of discovery as you explore your new battleground home!
  • The first event of the new season was Fortnitemares. Only instead of just fighting zombies, you get a chance to fight Save The World's dreaded Storm King! You're even rewarded with a special umbrella glider for defeating him!
  • Season 2 of Chapter 2 started with a bang, bringing in a spy theme and new points of interest guarded with henchmen, traps, security turrets, and enhanced versions of the battle pass skins acting as bosses. You can infiltrate these locations through vents, disguise yourself as a henchmen, even sneak around as cardboard boxes, take secret passageways through toilets, and feel like a real spy. You even get a major reward for killing the boss and stealing their vault key, the vaults in each location loaded with high-end loot. Oh yeah, and the bonus skin for the Battle Pass this time around? None other than Deadpool. Nuff said.
  • On 4/23/2020, another in-game concert was held, the first of several over the weekend. This time, by Travis Scott. And it was amazing, a psychedelic wild ride which took viewers into the air, underwater, into space, and even into the wings of an old friend from season 6's event...
  • On 6/15/2020, the Agency was the site of an in-game event. A massive device emerged from underneath the Agency, destroying it. It attempted to push back the storm, and for a moment, after pushing back the storm field, it seemed as if it had failed, the storm engulfing the entire island. For a brief moment, everyone was teleported to an office in another world, with someone talking outside of the room. But, once back in reality, the device powered up again, warping gravity in the process, and actually managed to push away the storm this time. Once more, reality flashed to the office, the voice outside mentioning the 'loop,' which the Visitor tried to close last season. Going back to the island once more, the device began to fail and collapsed. Meanwhile, a tsunami had engulfed the entire island, picking up the yacht and closing in on the Agency. One more time reality flashed to the office, where Jonesy (revealed to have the full name of John Jones from the plate on the desk) entered wearing an agent's black suit. He was shocked to see the player, and asked if they could hear him before reality came back one more time, putting everyone on a battle bus with a tsunami surrounding everything but the ruins of the Agency. And in all normal game modes, the Storm now had the tsunami accompanying it, forcing everyone caught in it to swim and launching them out of it if they swam too high...
  • On 6/17/2020, Chapter 2's Season 3 began. The giant tsunami crashed down on the map, flooding most of it. Various locations have either been flooded, destroyed, or completely submerged. All the bosses from Season 2 are nowhere to be seen- but new ones take their place! New points of interest were added as well, from the massive Fortilla, to the humble Catty Corner, to the newly rebuilt Authority. Sharks now swarm the waters of the island, and with a fishing rod, you can RIDE THEM. Whirlpools are also here, giving massive boosts in height. With certain weapons, buildings can now even catch on fire! Pods can also come out of rifts in the sky, bringing with them the Maruders, enemy AI that come in groups and roam the map, attacking any players in sight. By eliminating them, you can receive weapons only they have! And, as the season goes on, the waters will slowly drain, unveiling new and familiar locations, and will even eventually allow players to drive cars around the map! Even Aquaman is here to party!
  • The Ventures event in Save the World brings with it a new questline, involving an Evil Twin of Ensemble Dark Horse Dennis, which is eventually revealed to be a metaphor for chronic depression. In the process of beating it, Dennis is forcibly turned into a playable hero character, eventually getting it done not just with the help of much of Homebase but his own effort as well - but it's nailing the heroic one-liner that seals the deal.
Evil Dennis: I'll be back. You know I will. And when I do...
Dennis: I'll be ready for you.
  • When Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store, Epic quickly mobilized a movement to "#FreeFortnite". What did they do to advertise this? Make a commercial that replicates Apple's famous "1984" commercial, but make it so that it's Apple (in the form of an apple-headed character) that's the face on the screen.
  • The Chapter 2 - Season 4 Battle Pass is out. And its a pure Marvel battle pass, featuring Thor, She-Hulk, Groot, Storm, Doctor Doom, Mystique, Wolverine, and Iron Man as the skins. The storyline centers around an impending battle with Galactus himself, with the whole world on the line. There's new mythic items in the game that allow for the use of the heroes powers, and each skin has a unique Built-in emote to make playing as them more interesting. In addition to all of those, a cosmetic set of Silver Surfer is coming to the store as well!
  • The final battle against Galactus has come, and it exceeded all expectations! Galactus knocked the helicarrier out of the sky, Iron Man coming to save you by giving you a jetpack. Everyone then enters the Zero Point as Galactus starts to consume it, riding a gamma-powered Battle Bus to face Galactus himself. With the help of Thor, Iron Man, and Wolverine, you fight your way through waves of Gorgers, using lasers mounted in the Bus, and eventually trick Galactus into consuming the gamma bomb-laden vehicles, which force him back into the primary Marvel reality!
  • The crossovers continue, as we have The Mandalorian in the battle pass, and Kratos in the item shop. Kratos also has his own item class, Gaming Legends, which means that more are on the way.
  • In 2021, Gangnam Style finally graces the item shop.
  • With the Imagined Order seeming to be the main antagonist of the game, Agent Jones deciding to fix the Zero Point himself regardless of the Order's actions, is this.
Agent Jones: If you're not gonna give me what I need...I'm just gonna have to take it.
  • During the period Batman was trapped in the loop, as a way of delaying him from figuring things out, the Imagined Order made him fight Snake-Eyes several times, guiding the ninja into battle against the crime fighter. Their fights became so spectacular that other Loopers would stop fighting altogether to watch the two masters try to defeat one another!
  • The Rift Tour concert, which took players on a wild trip through various other realms, including an aerial battle against the dreaded Storm King, surfing a wave of paint (which changed color depending on what wrap you had equipped), and other colorful and beautiful places! And it started with the player taking a trip through a wormhole, seeing visions of the past and future, ending with a vision of a giant version of the skin they had equipped holding out an orb of light for them to fly into!
  • Operation: Sky Fire. The Loopers raid the alien ship, letting themselves be taken along with the bomb-laden Corny Complex! But as they reach the location bombs are stored to arm them, Kevin the Cube (or at least a similar cube) comes back to life, killing several of the Loopers gathered. Dr. Slone disables the Cube, and arms the bombs... and promptly informs the Loopers that she's not bringing them back home, as she can't risk the Cube returning to the island. With no other choice, the Loopers touch the Cube and reactivate it, turning it blue... and friendly! It lifts them up via elevator to a room FULL of purple cubes (and one golden cube in the distance) with dozens of giant Abductors flying about. The bombs detonate, and the mothership is destroyed... sending the Loopers falling to their doom! As cubes rain down on the island, a chunk of flaming wreckage lands on the Looper, knocking them unconscious!
  • The final battle with the Cube Queen! It starts out with the Blue Cube being moved next to the Convergence, creating a forcefield to protect the Loopers as Cube Fiends start attempting to raid the base built next to it. With turrets and high powered weapons, the Loopers fended them off until the Cube Queen made her move, powering up and tearing a hole in the sky, letting in another mothership and dozens of flying saucers. She started to overwhelm the Looper's forces, tearing open the portal even further, revealing MULTIPLE motherships and a Death Star-sized ship called the Cube's Cradle. The Blue Cube's shield was shattered, Caretakers raiding the Looper's base, and an Abductor stealing the Looper's weapons, leaving them helpless. And in one final blow, the Blue Cube was destroyed entirely by an Abductor.
    • As all this happened, Dr. Slone was deep within the island, preparing to kill John Jones. Before she could, however, the Foundation broke in and rescued Jones, fighting his way to the Zero Point, back in its original spot. At the Foundation's command, Jones disabled a function... and the island began to flip.
      • Up above, the Loopers were in tremendous trouble. The Scientist and the Visitor flew in, and fended off the Caretakers, the Scientist opening a bunker door and letting the Loopers escape. Visitor flew off while Scientist led the Loopers below, leaving a powerful grenade for the Caretakers back on the surface. The surviving Loopers made their way to the center of the island as it slowly flipped, meeting up with Jonesy and the Foundation... when a Caretaker broke in and flooded the base. Forced to the surface, the player Looper watched as the island completed its flip, snuffing out the Cube Queen's power and closing the portal, the remaining Abductors crushed by the island as it flipped over. But upon completion of the flip, the Looper had little time to enjoy it, as a massive wave generated by the landing of the island in its new position washed over them, leaving them unconscious and adrift at sea...
  • When you finally do wake up on the island, the Foundation is there, waiting to give you a dramatic speech, promising to send you home, as you find yourself in a brand new island to explore...
  • Remember the Mecha Team Leader? It comes back in the finale to Chapter 3, Season 2 with a new coat of paint. The Paradigm of the Seven pilots the mech while you and up to three others man the weapons against seemingly endless waves of Imagined Order soldiers, all in an effort to save the island and possibly reality itself!
    • Near the end of second act, the mech is overwhelmed by hundreds of missiles and suffers critical damage. All seems lost until Jones calls in Peely to bring in a truck full of Slurp Juice. To the Paradigm' surprise and amazement, it not only instantly repairs the mech but gives the weapons system an overcharge, allowing unlimited use of the weapons without overheating and lay waste to the IO.
      • Before this, the mech counters a far away laser cannon with its own Chest Blaster.
      • With this in mind, it's satisfying to mow through the IO's Brute robots, who have been a pain.
      • The mech comes with a cool Laser Blade that slices through the IO air ships.
    • When the mech suffers damage from a fall underground, you join Jones and the Foundation in a gunfight against Slone and the IO soldiers to the top of a staircase, where you destroy the Collider crystals threatening Zero Point while the two leave to pursue Geno.
      • The mech becomes operational again during the fight, long enough to crush Slone and her tank.
  • With the addition of Dragon Ball to the mix, the iconic Kamehameha has been added to the weaponry, meaning that just about any available character is capable of living out the fantasy of million of kids and launch one out themselves.
  • The finale of Chapter 3. The Nothing fully consumes and destroys not just the island, but Reality Zero as a whole. Luckily, thanks to the plans of the Paradigm, the Loopers are able to stay intact, and gather fragments of the Zero Point's energy to help it heal as it pulls fractured pieces of the island's landmass towards itself. Eventually, the Zero Point is healed enough that the Paradigm is able to initiate "Zero Fusion", dragging pieces of other realities to Reality Zero's former location to reforge it anew, once again giving us a new island to battle on... but more importantly, we just saved reality from being destroyed, and with the likes of the Doom Slayer, Geralt, the Hulk, and (based on a familiar-looking pickaxe skin) the heroes of My Hero Academia now along for the ride!
    • Just like with the Dragonball addition, the My Hero Academia event brings its own iconic attack: the player can pick up the power of One For All itself and fire off a Detroit Smash, as was shown in the opening cinematic of the season. And the cinematic did not exaggerate- the attack really is capable of demolishing entire buildings and one-hit-KO-ing opponents! Potentially thousands more anime fans are getting to live out another dream, and be just like Deku and All Might. Say it with us now- GO BEYOND! PLUS! ULTRA!
  • The anime power-ups continue, with Chapter 4, Season 2 bringing Attack on Titan into the mix, allowing loopers to swing around using ODM gear, complete with lunging in to deal a mighty swing with the accompanying steel blades, and also fire Thunder Spears, which not only essentially act as a two-round rocket launcher, but you can combo them with your ODM gear to fly high up before firing two explosive spears of death upon your foes. Hell yeah.
  • The big crossover for Chapter 4, Season 3 is, to put it one way... more than meets the eye. Playable, human-sized avatars of both Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal, based on their appearances in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, were added in, as well as the Cybertron Cannon, a massive explosive weapon that transforms into a compact backpack when not in use. Not much else to say except... TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT!
    • This continues into the following season, as Gen 1 inspired versions of Bumblebee and Megatron were added in a bundle. The third skin crosses it over into Funny Moments, as it's a Transformer version of the Battle Bus itself.
  • All of Season OG in Chapter 4. This nostalgia filled season features the return of various weapons and items from Chapter 1, alongside the Chapter 1 map with the map locations evolving from how they were in Season 5 all the way to Season X. To top it all off, players that logged in this season got for free a music pack that is a remix of the original lobby soundtrack produced by Metro Boomin.
  • Chapter 5, Season 2 brings Aang, his friends, and Korra to the island - and with them, the ability to bend the four elements. Hurl ice shards and heal yourself with waterbending, summon stone slabs to block and crush your opponents with earthbending, set huge swaths of enemies ablaze with firebending, or zip around the map with airbending. You can even gather all four at once and become Reality Zero's own Avatar.
