• Nicholas managing to catch more experienced fencers like Seiji off-guard despite losing immensely. While it's not as impressive at first glance, its enough to convince Coach Williams to grant him a scholarship to Kings Row where he can hone his skills to their fullest potential.
• Upon earning his first win in Kings Row, Nicholas not only cements his place within the team, but also earns much of their respect.
• Aiden bamboozling Seiji with mind games during their match also counts as it demonstrates how cunning he actually is to pull a fast one on the second best fencer in the country.
• In their practice match against MLC, the team initially struggles to fight as a team due to their opponents taking advantage of their personal flaws. Fortunately, Harvard realizes they don't have any intel to use against Nicholas due to him being new to the fencing scene, enabling them to surprise their foes enough to claw their way back to the top. It gets even better when Seiji, who also fell for MLC's tactics at first, redeems himself as the team's closer by accumulating as much points as possible for Kings Row to win.
