Awesome / Fall of Cthulhu

• Cy, after going utterly insane due to the events of the Godwar, losing everyone he loved, and being utterly powerless for much of the story ends up personally thwarting Nyarlathotep's plans at the cost of his own life, by banishing him back to the court of Azathoth. Even Nodens is impressed by this.
• The Harlot also deserves much of the credit, as it was her plan and aid that enabled this
  • Not to mention the moment in issue #4 where Nodens comes to claim Cy and she tells him to piss of. She even tells Cy that there is absolutely no way she would've had any chance against him, but (based on the conversation she had with the god) she has enough leverage to make him not want to piss her of.
  • Her revealing to Nyarlathotep just how utterly she's outmanoeuvred him at every stage, in full knowledge that he's going to be able to hurt her badly before he's recalled to Azathoth, but won't be able to do permanent damage, is deeply satisfying.
• Even if it didn't do him much good in the long run, it's still awesome that Nodens managed to pull one over on Nyarlathotep. While Nyarlathotep thought he was pulling Nodens' strings and manipulating him into releasing Cthulhu, Nodens was in fact perfectly aware of the strings the whole time, and had Nyarlathotep exactly where he wanted him.
• Sherriff Dirk, after spending so much time trying to do his job in the face of supernatural threats while holding onto his sanity that he's a borderline case of The Chew Toy, finally snaps in the climax and immediately becomes a badass. He manages to kill two of Nyarlathotep's top lieutenants by being so fresh out of fucks to give that he's got no concern whatsoever for whether his antics are safe or even possible. Him referring to the risen Cthulhu as "big fishy" should give some idea of how uncaring he's become of the Godwar happening all around him.
