  • The Impossible Quiz series has had quite a few.
    • The first epic moment comes with the "make a bridge!" question, where there are two dots separated by a don't-touch pink zone. Phil suggests right-clicking and crossing over the resulting menu. It works.
Dan (shrieking as he shakes Phil by the shoulders): PHIL LESTER! YOU'RE A GENIUS!
    • "The answer is a horseshoe". Dan figures out it's a letter U in one of the answers.
    • Phil manages to be just the person to get the "I'm green and have sticky balls" question note . The question reminds him of one of their own gaming videos, for Katamari Damacy, which is called "Giant Sticky Balls", and he remembers that the player character of the Prince is green. Dan is stunned and skeptical by Phil's logic and isn't sure if it's worth risking, but he tries it, and Phil's obscure reasoning is absolutely right.
    • With the fruit question, Dan realizes that the banana on screen has to be spelled out from the letters of the incorrect fruit answers shown.
    • After all this, they do manage to beat the Quiz.
  • The fact that they're actually really good at "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes." Especially considering most of the fanbase (and Phil) expected them to die immediately.
  • When playing the frustratingly counterintuitive Thundersnail minigame in Undertale, they quickly figure out the correct strategy and win the game.
    • Their predictions for Flowey's true identity were spot-on too, along with quite a few others.
  • The fact that the RPG Phil made when he was fourteen, while a delightfully cheesy Cliché Storm throughout, actually managed to surprise Dan (and most of the audience) by killing off the main character. Didn't see that coming!
  • Despite hyping it up to be an incredibly frustrating and friendship-ruining game, Dan and Phil do rather well with "Snipperclips" and collaborate relatively peacefully- their Portal run was much more dramatic.
  • When facing the trap-chute maze in the first episode of Undertale, Phil suggests making up a song to memorize the correct walking pattern laid out in the deposit room. He produces a rambling, barely-melodic tune that Dan calls extremely unhelpful, and he challenges Phil to sing it correctly for their next attempt. To Dan's surprise, Phil remembers it perfectly and that "unhelpful" song successfully guides them out of the room. Dan takes back his derision.
  • Dan and Phil actually managed to beat the hardest level of Crash Bandicoot ever. (As in, it was cut from the original game because it was too hard and so few people beat it in testing.)
  • Dan and Phil do an episode of Gamingmas for just the Sans fight in Undertale's genocide path, and Dan, who plays for the majority of the episode, succeeds in winning the fight.
  • In the sixth episode of "Golf with Friends", Phil is floundering, losing for the entire game, but it gets close enough for him to pull ahead at the final hole and win.
  • When they play Player Unknowns Battlegrounds, they win on their first try. Keep in mind that Phil had never played before.
  • After putting in every effort to declare it dead before the hiatus, Dan vs. Phil is bargained (read: badgered) back onto the channel at Phil's insistence after reviving Google Feud. Dan puts up every resistance, and even tries to shut down the plan by pointing out how full the old Dan vs. Phil board is. Phil's response? He turns it over to the empty back side. The beloved competition is back on!
