- Cassandra Cain gaining the power of Captain Marvel to fight zombie Captain Marvel Jr.
- In order to defend herself securely from going Zombie in her Super Mode, Mary Marvel trained under deadly assassins, so that when there's no other hope, she could defend her new family from Zombie Wonder Woman.

- When Highfather tries to kill Damian, Alfred's rage is more than enough to summon and bond with the Spectre, who just had Jim Corrigan ripped out of his spirit after a Mutual Kill with Mxyzptlk. Cue Alfred, as the new Spectre, tearing Highfather's head off.
- After usurping Brainiac's ship, Cyborg gets a very good idea for how to fight the anti-life equation; "Where is Kandor?" Cue a thousand kryptonians, each as strong as Superman, rising to battle anti-life.
