The May Queen
- Betsy, Tacy and Tib sticking up for a Syrian immigrant girl who is being bullied by older boys. Even more awesome is the fact that "bashful" Tacy is the first of the girls to take action.
- The ending of Betsy-Tacy Go Over the Big Hill, where Naifi ends up being chosen as the May Queen.
- The last few chapters of Betsy and Tacy Go Downtown are full of this. Mrs. Poppy arranges for Betsy, Tacy, Tib and Winona to appear in a professional production of Rip Van Wrinkle, where Betsy finds that her long-lost Uncle Keith is one of the actors. She later reunites him with her mother, followed by the revelation that Winona's father published Betsy's poem in his newspaper.
