Part 1

    Volume 1
  • Myne recreates several products that she learned as Urano back on Earth, like how to make her own shampoo, sewing flower hair ornaments, or making baskets.
  • Effa is such a skilled seamstress, she learns how to make Myne's flower sewing technique after merely observing Myne and looking at the finished product.
  • After working for weeks to improve physically, Myne can walk to the gate several days in a row without getting a fever.
  • Otto is teaching Myne and other apprentice soldiers several subjects like how to read and write, and math. However, he is very inexperienced and Myne ends up teaching Otto how to teach others, based on how elementary school students are educated.
  • Myne is so good with paperwork at the gate that Otto later admits to Benno and Corinna that she is doing at least 70% of it. She could do all of it if she knew more words. She also was able to handle a noble's letter of introduction perfectly while Otto was absent.
  • Myne is able to fight back the heat inside her despite almost dying several times. As it later turns out, the heat definitely would have ended up killing her, but she managed to suppress it thanks to her mental strength.
  • Myne and Lutz's job interview with Otto and Benno. It ends up being a major success (despite everyone expecting them to fail) because of Myne:
    • Myne, knowing that Lutz's background puts him at a disadvantage, insists on his getting completely washed up before the interview and even shampoos his hair while helping prepare him for what the meeting will entail and the kinds of questions that might come up; then ensures that they arrive earlier than the agreed meeting time. She knew it was a test.
    • Benno is taken aback that Myne doesn't so easily give away information he was looking for, like how to make the shampoo she and Lutz used to clean their hair; nor is she fazed by the glare of a much older and well-off adult.
    • Thanks to Myne's support, Lutz can face Benno directly. Proud of Lutz for standing his ground, she takes over and negotiates a deal with Benno to accept them as his apprentices if they can prove themselves and produce plant paper prototypes.

    Volume 2
  • Myne recalls the paper-making process and together with Lutz manages to make their plant paper prototypes after immense amounts of effort making the tools and much trial and error. This secures them their apprenticeships, as Benno promised. He also pays them in silver and large coppers, which impresses Myne's family.
  • Benno baits Guildmaster Gustav into accepting Myne and Lutz's temporary Merchant's Guild memberships with Myne's hairpin without having to reveal their plant paper invention.
  • Myne, Tuuli and Effa manage to make beautifully sewn red rose hairpins with the thread Freida gave them. They are much better looking than the first hairpin they made for Tuuli and the guildmaster is more than satisfied.
  • After being told that the workshop that Benno contracted to make her shampoo is making a sub-standard product (despite the recipe being very simple), Myne is able to quickly identify the issue after observing the process and explain why something like using nicer cloth can have a negative impact on the way the shampoo works. Moreover, she's quick to stop the workshop from having to throw out all the oil they made beforehand- which would have been a huge waste of time and supplies- and (after some persuasion/ being paid by Benno) offers a number of tips on how to make it even better and more varied than she was able to with her resources at home.
  • A trombe appears and Gunther proudly shows Myne how he managed to cut off a big log, which is usually pretty impressive- but her attention is immediately focused on Lutz, who acquired a basket of the smaller and softer bits that they can use to make the high-quality trombe paper. She's quick to convince other children that only got small twigs and branches coming back through the gate to leave them for her as well, since they're effectively useless to everyone else.
  • Myne is tasked with Benno to make her hairpins earlier than planned. She uses a "magic spell" to manipulate her and Lutz's families into helping them. Said magic spell? Advance payment. Since Myne is paying middle coppers, which is much more than they usually earn for more menial winter handiwork, they instantly agree to help. Tuuli masters the technique very quickly, and she and Effa are so much better at sewing than Myne that they complete their assignment much faster than Myne expected, even faster than when she was Urano.
Wowee. Here's two sewing beauties for you.
  • After Myne collapses, Lutz begs Benno to save her because he himself cannot help her. Benno can't help her, either, but he motivates Lutz with a rousing speech.
Lutz: ...I can't do anything. I'm a kid. I don't have power, smarts, money, nothing. If there's something I can do, tell me. I'll do anything for Myne!
Benno: Then don't let Myne worry about you. Don't be a burden to her. Listen, Lutz. This girl's not as young as she looks. At the very least, she's mature enough to smile and take care of others when she's suffering herself. Don't let her fool you. Don't take advantage of her help. If you're a man, don't add to Myne's burden. There's no going back now. You have to do everything you can to buy her extra time. You said you would make anything she thought up? Then do it! Make each crazy product she thinks up! If you've got the time to cry, work instead. Think instead. Make money!

    Volume 3
  • Leise makes a pound cake with satisfying results only through verbal instructions and suggestions from Myne, showing that she is a Supreme Chef. She later experiments without any of Myne's input and manages to improve the taste. With additional tips from Myne, she keeps improving the cake up to the point where it's presentable even to nobles.
  • Effa completes Myne's baptism outfit which looks so fancy and cute that even a master seamstress like Corinna (who is basically a celebrity from Effa and Tuuli's perspectives) is impressed. Corinna later invites Myne, Effa, and Tuuli to the Gilberta Company to teach each other more about fashion and sewing techniques.
  • Despite coming from an illiterate household, Lutz learns his letters and numbers over a single winter, though this is also thanks to Myne's superior teaching. While Lutz is still at a disadvantage, a side chapter from his point of view later shows that he can keep up with the other apprentices who all have merchant backgrounds.
  • Lutz speaks up for himself and tells his mother how serious he is about becoming a merchant- quickly countering all her protests, and showing that he's been thinking ahead and preparing for a situation where he has to leave home if his parents refuse to allow it- causing Karla to (seem to) finally understand and decides to support her son in his endeavors.
"I learned from working hard with Myne on our merchant work that stuff I do on my own sticks with me. I want to see how far I can keep going with my own strength. A craftsman? I'm not even thinking of becoming one at this point."
Lutz had been held underwater by his family for his whole life and had broken free. He had secured a path to his dreams and escaped their rule.
  • Myne convinces Benno to avoid the conflict with the Parchment Guild due to vested interests in the paper business by suggesting a compromise note . This neatly blocks Guildmaster Gustav's plans to merge the Parchment Guild and Benno's planned Plant Paper Guild by solving the conflict without his involvement.
  • After learning that the temple has found out about Myne's Devouring condition, Benno immediately devises a plan to protect her from being abused. His plan later contributes to keeping both Myne and her dream to create books alive by emphasizing Myne's value in knowledge, mana, and money, aiming to make the temple see the value of compromising with her instead of just using the fact that the temple and nobility can punish commoners with impunity to force her in on their terms.
  • When being told by the High Bishop to hand Myne over, Gunther and Effa firmly refuse, for the sake of protecting their daughter. Enraged by their rejection, the High Bishop sends several of his attendants at Gunther, who handily beats them all.
High Bishop: "If you lay a hand on a priest, I will have you executed in the name of the gods."
Gunther: "I've been ready for that ever since I swore to protect Myne."
  • When the High Bishop sends more priests at Gunther and starts threatening Myne's parents with execution, Myne has enough and in her rage unleashes her mana that knocks out the High Bishop and seriously injures the High Priest.
  • Despite her young age, Freida holds a very successful pound cake taste-testing event for the city's most influential merchants with some help from her family and Myne, which even impresses Benno to his chagrin. Gustav later expresses how proud he is of his granddaughter for already having such a sharp mind and good management skills at her age.
  • Mark's side chapter reveals that the Gilberta Company's promising future crumbled after Benno's father died unexpectedly and his mother was overcome by grief. Benno, who had to learn the merchant trade without a mentor through trial and error, rebuilt the company together with Mark, and Corinna later contributed to this by showing seaming skills that reconnected them to nobles. Mark also ruined his own family's store from the shadows, as retribution for not helping Benno and mocking him, showing how scary Mark can be if someone pushes him too far.

Part 2

    Volume 1
  • High Priest Ferdinand manipulates the High Bishop to make him accept all of Myne's parents' conditions for Myne joining the temple.
  • In retrospect, Benno did an excellent job protecting Myne's identity. Ferdinand did his own research (and as it later turns out sent his personal intelligence expert to investigate) and he later tells Myne that he found next to nothing about her.
  • The moment Myne sees Fran, she sees that he exudes elegance and competence. She is very surprised when she later learns that someone like him is to become her head attendant. Ferdinand also tells her that Fran is one of his best (and most loyal) attendants, which is why Ferdinand assigned him to Myne to teach her about noble and temple culture.
  • When Myne is supposed to pour her mana into a divine tool, she fills seven feystones before she lets go. This is actually more than impressive because she doesn't feel tired at all and she used her own mana. As is later shown in Part 3, blue priests and noble children who are not used to let mana flow through their body tire out very quickly. And they didn't even use their own mana. In that single instance, Myne has also figured out how to let out her mana, as she later lightly Crushes Gil for interrupting her reading time.
  • Benno shows his skills at etiquette when he and Myne enter the temple. At his prompting, Myne also starts acting more like a noble. Myne immediately notices how Fran's behavior has changed due to this, realizing that he has pride as the attendant of the High Priest, and she hadn't been even trying to conduct herself properly.
  • Benno negotiates with High Priest Ferdinand the share the temple will get from the Myne Workshop's earnings. He convinces Ferdinand to "only" take 10%, which is far less than Ferdinand initially expected. (In the anime, this exchange is represented as Benno and Ferdinand boxing, culminating in a total victory for Benno.)
  • In the secondhand clothes store, Tuuli and Lutz are competing against each other to see who finds the better outfit for Myne to wear when she commutes between her home and the temple. When the argument starts escalating, Benno asks Myne what she would pick and her choice brings a grin to his face, as it was the one he wanted to see.
  • After Gil shoves Myne at the temple gates, Lutz exhibits praiseworthy reactions and catches her before she can fall and be injured. When Myne explains that she hasn't been able to convince Gil to do anything but loudly mock and disobey her, nor meaningfully punish him, Lutz takes it onto himself to teach Gil the error of his ways the way it's done in the lower city.
  • Myne is Good with Numbers, and her speed and accuracy is so good that even Ferdinand looks impressed.
  • Fran teaches Benno's chefs, Hugo and Ella, the importance of cleanliness and has them cook some of Myne's recipes like pizza or soup. Thanks to Fran's instructions and their skill, they manage to cook satisfactory food on the first try and the taste takes everyone aback. The soup alone tastes better than anything they have ever eaten before, despite it being so simple to make.
  • After Myne accepts Delia as her attendant, she mentions how her attendants split work. Gil cleans the first floor and outside of her chambers and keeps an eye on the chefs, Delia as the only girl takes direct care of Myne, helps Myne dress and cleans the second floor and the bathroom, and Fran... does everything else. Not only does he double-check the work of the other two, he handles the training of the cooks and the attendants, manages the food and ingredients, watches Myne's health, does paperwork with her in the High Priest's office, accompanies Myne to the book room, and educates her about nobility.
I asked Fran if he had too much work, worried that he was overworking himself, but he said he had it easy since I wasn't summoning him unexpectedly in the middle of the night. Fran was just way too good for me.
  • While Myne isn't aware of how significant this is, she is able to enter High Priest Ferdinand's sealed room without any issue. The author later noted that the condition to enter the room was for the individual to have more mana than the High Bishop. After Volume 3, Ferdinand changed the required condition to be "have more mana than the archduke" and Myne could still enter Ferdinand's room.
  • Within days, Myne drastically improves the situation at the orphanage by cleaning it up and teaching the orphans how to forage in the forest with the help of Lutz, Gunther, and Tuuli. She also teaches them how to make paper to give them work, all with an eye towards future-proofing her efforts so that if she has to stop being the orphanage director, the orphanage won't fall back into the same conditions again.
  • Lutz shows his negotiating skills at the carpentry workshop where his older brother Sieg is apprenticing at. He backs the supervisor into a corner after exposing his attempt to rip Myne off. Sieg is taken aback, while Myne and Benno are proud of Lutz's growth.
  • Wilma's karuta art is so beautiful that one of the first things Myne does in the next volume is to go to High Priest Ferdinand and ask him for permission to hire Wilma as her attendant.

    Volume 2
  • High Priest Ferdinand demonstrates the harspiel instrument to Myne and sings a song. After listening to Ferdinand's song, Myne bets if he ever tried to sing a love song, there would be no girl who would reject him.
  • Having learned from High Priest Ferdinand how to resolve social disputes, Myne skillfully settles down a fight between her attendants by listening to everyone first and then suggesting a compromise as a solution.
  • After a few failures, with the help of the orphans, Myne, Tuuli, and Lutz complete their first book together. Everything about this book is a new invention, which gives Benno a headache.
Myne: I mean, I'm using newly developed ink on new plant paper with art drawn in a new style and printed on paper using new technology that ultimately gets bound together in a new book-binding technique. This picture book bible for kids is built on a mountain of new inventions. Honestly, no part of it isn't new.
  • Myne plays it down due to having played music in the past, but she manages to play two harspiel songs very well after just a short amount of practice with Rosina, which earns her high praise from Ferdinand.
  • With stencil printing, the Myne Workshop created 29 more identical children's bibles at a speed that leaves High Priest Ferdinand completely speechless.
  • After the temple's book room was vandalized, Myne is tasked at her request to tidy up the room. She uses this opportunity to introduce a decimal system based on the Dewey Decimal System and with the help of a few gray robes cleans up the room while implementing her organization system in such a short time that both she and Ferdinand are surprised. Ferdinand's also shocked that she also managed to identify that the documents he personally brought to the temple are the only ones missing out of the mountain of disorganized documents in the book room. note
  • The Knight's Order bows down to "Lord" Ferdinand when he is called for help. Myne realizes that he's probably a really important noble.
  • Myne is given a magic tool by Ferdinand to channel her mana. Before the order moves out to engage the trombe, she worries for their safety and spontaneously prays to Angriff the God of War, and accidentally blesses the order, even though she has never received any magic training before.
  • Ferdinand leads the order against the trombe and rains down black arrows while riding his highbeast in the air. Myne is very impressed how he seems to be both proficient with paperwork and with fighting.
  • Unlike Shikza, Karstedt turns out to be an honorable noble. He and Ferdinand rip both Shikza and Damuel a new one after they both failed their duty to guard Myne. (Karstedt is so angry to hear what was done to her that he rips off a chunk of the second trombe with only his armored hand, rather than cutting it with a Darkness-blessed weapon!)
  • After Shikza miserably fails and collapses after draining his mana to perform the Healing Ritual on the land that was harmed by the trombe, Ferdinand gives Flutrane's staff to Myne. She stuns the entire order by completely restoring the lands with even more mana than needed. Ferdinand would later note that her mana capacities exceed the mana capacities of Ehrenfest's archduke. He then declares Myne to be under his protection when the gathered knights start looking at Myne with greed, believing her to be a commoner they can freely exploit.

    Volume 3
  • The anime's third season intro has a short one that is equally subtle and sweet. Myne is shown walking in a straight line, changing between the various clothes she's worn so far in the series. The awesome part is that with each change of clothes she both gets faster and is closer to the camera, to the point that she's running right out of the lower left in her ceremonial priestess robes. She's come a long way from the tiny girl who had to build up her strength just to go down the stairs.
  • Benno proves again that his cautiousness is warranted. He suspects the head of the Ink Guild, Wolf, is after Myne and takes measures to keep Myne away from him, while signing a magic contract with the Ink Guild. After the contract is signed, some thugs approach Lutz and try to find Myne. Wolf was likely hired by a noble to find Myne. Impressed, even Ferdinand later praises Benno for keeping Myne safe.
  • Johann manages to complete Myne's assignment for his coming of age test and presents her a set of metal letter types. Myne is so excited to see the letters, she gives Johann the title "Gutenberg" for pioneering letter printing and starts praying for joy until she loses consciousness. When Johann later presents his work to the Smithing Guild, he receives the highest praises for his incredibly precise work and the volume of fiddly orders he's completed for Myne.
  • Myne decides to teach the orphans how to read, write and do math over the winter with remarkable success, covering for her desire to increase literacy among commoners by claiming that it's just to make things easier for if they're taken as attendants later on. Her guard layknight, Damuel, is dumbfounded how well educated the orphans are, on par with laynobles at least.
  • The Spring Prayer dinner: Considering some of the highest-ranked nobles are participating in the meal and after-meal activities, any praise from them is of the highest order, and Myne gets to witness these nobles outdo each other in their artistic activities.
    • The food Benno and Myne's chefs, Hugo and Ella, make is so good that Sylvester the archduke! immediately wants to trade them with some of his own chefs.
    • Rosina's harspiel play is also impressive enough that it leaves Sylvester wondering how a gray shrine maiden turned out to be so good. Myne's harspiel play is acceptable, while Ferdinand's play leaves a lasting impression because he played one of Myne's songs from Earth. Contrary to Myne's expectations, Sylvester also flawlessly plays the harspiel and he later performs a sword dance with Karstedt.
  • After departing from Count Leisegang's mansion, Myne's carriage is ambushed by brigands and an unknown number of magic users. Angry that someone would dare attack her attendants, Myne prays to Schutzaria and summons a shield of wind that repels anyone that approaches the carriage with malicious intentions.
  • Damuel then senses the presence of someone's mana, and he, Karstedt, and Sylvester move out to chase after the presence. Ferdinand and Myne stay behind and pray to Angriff the God of War to bless the three that left. Unfortunately, their prayer was so strong that Sylvester and Karstedt's attacks pulverize all enemies by causing an explosion that destroyed a part of the forest.

    Volume 4
  • Myne and Tuuli are kidnapped while on their way home. Gunther attacks the man who took Myne, freeing her. Myne then snaps and Crushes Tuuli's kidnapper after she sees her sister being used as a Human Shield. The kidnapper is incapacitated by the Crushing and then quickly killed by Gunther. Do not mess with this man's daughters.
  • The battle at the temple:
    • Damuel, Gunther, and Fran have to fight against Count Bindewald's three Devouring soldiers. Damuel as a trained knight can fend the soldiers' mana attacks off. Seeing as a knight is with Myne, Bindewald decides to quickly eliminate Damuel with an attack from his ring, but Myne copies Bindewald's moves and counters his attack with her blast, which leads to a Magic Missile Storm duel until Bindewald stops, disgusted that Myne can defend against him.
    • After Bindewald gravely injures Gunther with a mana attack, Myne unleashes her mana and starts Crushing Bindewald, who was caught off guard. He only is saved after High Bishop Bezewanst pulls out a black feystone that absorbs Myne's attack, but she starts overloading the stone with her mana, turning the stone into golden dust and hitting Bezewanst with the full brunt of her Crushing.
    • Damuel managed to defeat two of the Devouring soldiers before Bindewald knocks him unconscious with a mana attack. Gunther, whose arm was burned by Bindewald's attack quickly runs over to the third Devouring soldier and slams his head into the ground. An injured Fran later bemoans that he couldn't help at all, but Gunther still praises Fran for standing his ground and helping a little without getting in his way.
    • High Priest Ferdinand appears and decides to fight after seeing that Myne used the black charm Sylvester gave her. He quickly shackles Bezewanst with bands of light and reveals his wand to Bindewald, who reacts with shock as he realizes that the blue priest he just mocked is a noble who recognizes him. Myne summons a shield of wind to protect everyone she cares about from Ferdinand's mana. Ferdinand then engages Bindewald in a Beam-O-War, which he easily wins, completely obliterating anyone that isn't protected by magic. Myne remarks how she's Glad He's On Our Side.
Ferdinand: Myne, this is how you destroy evidence. Be thorough if you're going to do it. None of these people are supposed to be in here in the first place.
  • Sylvester, who a moment earlier arrived and quickly hid behind Myne's shield, now speaks in an authoritative and serious voice and demands an explanation. Ferdinand's response to him asking him to stand down is to quickly kneel. Sylvester then reveals himself as Aub Ehrenfest, and he decides to arrest Bezewanst and Bindewald after telling them that Myne has already been adopted by him (from the moment she stamped the black charm with her blood), so they can't weasel their way out of attacking her and her guard, Damuel.
  • Bezewanst protests against Myne's adoption and tells Sylvester to not trust his half-brother, Ferdinand. Sylvester is having none of it and lets Bezewanst know that Bezewanst's sister, his own mother Veronica, will not be able to protect Bezewanst any longer.
Sylvester: Uncle, you went too far this time. Mother can no longer protect you. She too will be charged with forging documents and assisting in criminal acts.
Bezewanst: Sylvester, you intend to turn your own mother into a criminal?! You will not escape from such a horrible act unharmed!
Sylvester: And that is your fault! You have committed so many crimes that I can no longer even count them. Mother protected you out of love each time, and now it has come to this. You will be executed for your countless crimes, and Mother will be confined. You are not needed in my politics. Take the High Bishop and his attendants away.
  • Now that Bezewanst and Bindewald are out of the way, Sylvester, Karstedt, Ferdinand, and Myne are dealing with the aftermath. Myne will be presented as Karstedt's daughter and at their baptism will be adopted by Sylvester. He will also name her High Bishop to replace Bezewanst. Sylvester also reveals his plans to support Myne and let her spread printing throughout the duchy with the help of Benno and the Gilberta Company.
  • After saying her goodbyes to her family, Myne prays to all seven primary gods to bless her loved ones, which include her family, Lutz, Benno, Mark, Ferdinand, Fran, Damuel and Dirk. The blessing, among other things, heals all their injuries. Karstedt and Sylvester later remark that such a blessing from all seven gods usually fails and was unprecedented.
  • Ferdinand, Karstedt, and Sylvester discuss the future after Rozemyne is brought to her chambers. As it turns out, they all planned the incident that would force Myne to accept her adoption early and neutralize Sylvester's mother and her noble faction.
  • Benno has no time to sulk over losing Myne. He needs to focus on getting the printing business going, which Lutz finds heartless and inappropriate. Benno however motivates Lutz by telling him that Myne isn't dead and that they can still let Rozemyne exchange letters with her former family. Benno had Myne sign so many magic contracts with him and Lutz because he predicted that she would eventually join the nobility.
Benno: Listen up, Lutz. That weirdo didn't die. She's gonna keep on living as Rozemyne. You think that weirdo's gonna change as a person just 'cause she went from being a commoner to an archnoble's daughter? No! The only thing that's changed is how much more terrifying her rampages are gonna be now that she has actual authority!
  • Freida figures out that Myne was adopted, which forces Benno to fully let her and Gustav in on what happened to Myne. However, he also uses this opportunity to get Gustav's full cooperation in the printing business, so that he stops acting like an Obstructive Bureaucrat. Freida is quickly convinced after Benno offers to make them business partners of the Italian restaurant, which also lifts a burden off Benno's shoulders.

Part 3

    Volume 1
  • Rozemyne, motivated by Ferdinand to get unlimited access to the temple's book room, learns noble etiquette at such a breakneck pace that at her baptism everyone is convinced that she is the daughter of an archnoble.
  • Rozemyne's personal chef, Ella, has become so good at making Rozemyne's sweets that she quickly wins over Elvira.
  • During Rozemyne's baptism, she blesses everyone that attends her ceremony. One is usually only supposed to bless the blue priest who blessed the noble child first, but blessing everyone makes it more convincing that Rozemyne is a saint who was blessed by the gods with great mana capacities.
  • Karstedt informs Rozemyne that Damuel's mana growth period has been extended. The last blessing Myne gave at the end of Part 2 was likely the cause of it.
  • After Rozemyne's inauguration as High Bishop, Rozemyne sees Brother Egmont again, the blue priest who vandalized the temple's book room in Part 2, Volume 2. Egmont flounders and quickly claims that he had no choice and it was at the High Bishop's order that he did it, which but then decides to lightly Crush him to make clear that she is now in charge.
"Your life is mine. Do not think I shall forgive you a second time."
  • At Rozemyne's first Starbind Ceremony as High Bishop in the lower city, Ferdinand recites a tale of the bible. He does so in a loud and booming voice without having to look at the bible, as he memorized everything. Rozemyne then offers the newlyweds a true blessing of the God of Darkness and the Goddess of Light, leaving some nearby blue priests stunned and wondering, as blue robes and the High Bishop usually were only able to utilize their mana through divine tools, which was another planned move from Ferdinand to make Rozemyne appear like a saint. She repeats this at the Starbind Ceremony in the Noble's Quarter, leaving a lasting impression on the nobles that attend the ceremony.
  • Sylvester is so satisfied with his meal at the Italian restaurant, that he approves Rozemyne's plan to build a workshop, an orphanage, and a monastery with a chapel. He and the rest of their noble entourage then quickly fly to the nearby town Hasse, and Ferdinand builds the monastery with archducal magic in an instant, leaving Rozemyne, Gustav, Benno, and Mark speechless.
  • A minor moment, but Mark manages to buy more time for Benno and Gustav to prepare the orphanage in time and secure more money by selling Rozemyne's recipes and lending out their chefs to Karstedt, Sylvester, and Ferdinand. Freida and Benno play along and convince them that the prize for the recipes Rozemyne offered them is a steal.
  • Rozemyne comes up with the idea of a charity concert with Ferdinand playing harspiel songs to earn more money for the orphanage. She can't convince him no matter what she offers to him, until Rihyarda, the only person who Ferdinand can't speak up against, starts scolding him in a thunderous voice for not helping Rozemyne until he eventually relents.
  • During Rozemyne's first magic training, she accidentally makes a high-quality feystone explode. She quickly gathers the fragments and imagines them to be clay to put them back together. It works, leaving Ferdinand with a headache because she has done something seemingly impossible.
  • Johann and Zack are tasked to make blueprints for a wax stencil machine. While Zack excels at making the blueprints with only vague descriptions and builds a functionable machine, Johann manages to create the most difficult machine. Zack's work impresses Rozemyne, who names him her second Gutenberg smith.
  • Rozemyne finally creates her highbeast. Since it's in the form of a Red Pandabus, it does not have wings, she can change the size at will (from a single-seater to something more akin to a camper van if she needs to carry more people or luggage) and it has other useful tools like comfortable seats and seatbelts. Although Ferdinand finds her highbeast highly unaesthetic, he praises her for mastering it in such a short amount of time and gives her more reading time.
  • Almost all guests swoon over Ferdinand's harspiel play with some of them losing consciousness. It ends with Sylvester joining Ferdinand for a final song with the audience singing along, earning them spontaneous ovations from the audience after it's over.
  • The charity concert and the merchandise Rozemyne sells are a complete success, as they earn more than 10 large golds at the end, taking Benno and Lutz completely aback.
  • Tuuli visits the temple with Benno and Lutz to deliver her latest hairpin to Rozemyne. Tuuli's presentation is somewhat poor, so Rozemyne decides to show Tuuli how it's done. She does it with such grace and elegance, that Tuuli and Lutz are left speechless, and Benno is entirely convinced that no one would doubt Rozemyne's status as an archnoble.

    Volume 2
  • Damuel looks very scary when he coldly makes the mayor of Hasse cower in fear for going against Ferdinand's orders and speaking to Rozemyne without permission.
  • After his orphans were forcibly taken from him, the mayor launches an attack on the monastery to get them back. They all fail because Rozemyne's barrier repels all people with hostile intentions.
  • After hearing about Rozemyne's new task to bring down the mayor of Hasse, Lutz, Benno, and Mark offer their help and quickly devise a plan to resolve the issue with Hasse. They give her instructions on how to proceed and Mark offers to use their merchant connections to spread rumors and sow discord in Hasse, while still making Rozemyne appear like a saint.
  • Through clever manipulation Rozemyne gets Wilfried, Sylvester, and Ferdinand to accept her switching places with Wilfried for a day. Rozemyne basically gets a day off to relax, and Wilfried is forced to eat a Humble Pie and stop complaining how spoiled Rozemyne supposedly is. Rozemyne also makes Sylvester understand that he is overworking both her and Ferdinand, and devises a study plan for Wilfried to save him from being disinherited. She gets Florencia's explicit permission who is smiling coldly at Sylvester and makes him consent.
  • As is told from Wilfried's perspective, he also realizes how insanely competent Rozemyne, her attendants and apprentices like Lutz are. Even the other orphans are all better educated than Wilfried, except for Dirk, who's still a baby. All of them were taught by Rozemyne. She later achieves similar results with Wilfried by keeping his competitive spirit up.
  • Ferdinand wishes to teach Rozemyne how noble politics work. He invites Kantna, the scholar-official in charge of Hasse, for a talk and quickly intimidates Kantna with the information he and Justus found.
Ferdinand: When negotiating with nobles, the victor is often determined by who knows more about the other. The information Justus gathers is so disorganized that identifying the valuable parts among it all is a challenge, but the rewards are great.
  • On the Night of Schutzaria, after a zantze steals the ruelle that is filled with Rozemyne's mana and evolves into a goltze, Rozemyne has to contain the goltze in a cage by reversing her wind shield. Eckhart is concerned about Rozemyne's mana reserves after she already blessed her guard knights and poured so much mana into the ruelle. However, she manages to keep the goltze imprisoned until Ferdinand arrives, who then defeats the goltze together with Eckhart.
  • Justus' adventure in the lower city with Eckhart displays his skills as a spy, when he enters the lower city and easily blends in to gather information about Myne. He also shows off his manipulative bargaining skills, when at the end of his trip he manages to buy a book about magic for only three small golds.

    Volume 3
  • Rozemyne gathers her Gutenbergs Zack, Johann, and Ingo to make a new and improved printing press together. To quote Rozemyne, at the end they "had managed to advance printing technology two hundred years in a single day."
  • During Rozemyne's winter debut, she accidentally blesses everyone while singing and playing a harspiel song. Her performance leaves the audience in awe, not knowing how to react until Ferdinand appears and plays up her saint image.
  • The winter class for the noble children that cannot go to the Royal Academy yet is very peaceful compared to the years before. This is because Wilfried and Rozemyne, as archduke candidates, lead the children in the playroom and let all of them play and study together, treating everyone equally regardless of status. The result is that the children have made great progress on reading, writing, math, the harspiel and even learned the names of many of the gods, thanks to Rozemyne's teaching materials. She later sells them at the end of winter socializing and makes quite a lot of profit.
  • Rozemyne is devastated when she learns that she has to attend the archduke candidate course, which would mean she can't be a librarian, as librarians attend the scholar course. Ferdinand calms her down and tells her that she simply has to take the scholar course in addition to the archduke candidate course. There was precedent, so it's entirely possible for her. Said precedent being Ferdinand, who casually mentions that he took both the scholar and knight courses alongside the archduke candidate one.
Rozemyne: (thinking) ...Just what kind of superhuman is he?!
  • To get the winter ingredient for her jureve potion, Rozemyne accompanies the Knight's Order when they fight a schnesturm, the Lord of Winter. Rozemyne strengthens them again with Angriff's blessing, but they struggle to defeat him. Ferdinand then brings Rozemyne with him and Rozemyne delivers the final blow by charging Leidenschaft's spear with her mana and throwing it at the Lord of Winter.
  • When Rozemyne and Ferdinand return to Hasse to announce Hasse's punishment, they give the mayor of Hasse a chance to explain his actions. He begs for mercy, telling everyone that he was oblivious of how severe his crime was. Rozemyne then tricks him into admitting that he lied and that his punishment is just. note
Rozemyne: Too bad. The mayor has made his position clear.
Ferdinand: (grins) I see. He certainly has made his position clear.
  • Ferdinand creates Schutzaria's shield, announcing it to be the 'Door of Judgment', and makes all of Hasse's citizens pass through it in order to determine who can be spared and who will be executed. Those who can't pass are promptly caught by Eckhart.
  • Like Wilfried one volume earlier, Ingo sees how Gil and Lutz, children, are in charge of the Rozemyne Workshop at the orphanage. He is especially perplexed when he sees Lutz flawlessly changing his behavior and speech in the temple and later learns that Lutz actually has a carpenter background.

    Volume 4
  • Ingo and Johann managed to complete the printing press they built together over the winter. The trial run is a success, as the new press is much easier to handle and can print faster than its predecessor.
  • Wilfried and Rozemyne are brought to a room where they can supply the foundation with mana. At the end of their first offering, Wilfried is clearly exhausted and nauseous, but Rozemyne feels fine, as she is used to offer her mana to the temple all the time, which astonishes Sylvester.
  • Corinna and her seamstresses have completed the halter dress Rozemyne ordered for Brigitte. Brigitte and the dress later draw the attention of everyone during the dress's debut at the Starbind Ceremony where they receive high praise.
  • In Illgner, Damuel and Brigitte fight a group of large effon feyplants with Rozemyne's blessing, while Rozemyne protects everyone else with Schutzaria's shield. Brigitte has no trouble with the effons, cutting most of them down with a single swing from her halberd.
  • Zack and Johann complete the hand pump Rozemyne envisioned. Rozemyne quickly convinces Sylvester to sign a duchy-wide magic contract that will spread the pumps while also allowing Rozemyne and Zack to profit from it (essentially introducing the concept of intellectual property and royalties to Yurgenschmidt).
  • Brigitte's side chapter shows what happened at the Starbind Ceremony after Rozemyne left. Brigitte is bothered by her former mednoble fiancé, Hassheit, who offers to take Brigitte back. Brigitte can't bluntly refuse, but then Damuel and his friends show up. Damuel stands his ground against Hassheit and proposes to Brigitte, saving her from Hassheit like a Knight in Shining Armor.

    Volume 5
  • On the Night of Schutzaria, Ferdinand and Karstedt are joining Rozemyne's guards for her ruelle gathering, which makes fending off the approaching feybeasts much easier:
    • Eckhart turns his schtappe into a spear. His swings and thrusts eliminate multiple feybeasts at once and Rozemyne thinks his heroic visage makes him look really cool - one eighth as cool as Gunther, but still.
    • Brigitte with her halberd lets out ferocious battle cries, and as she swings her weapon exudes "beauty and heroic grace in equal parts".
Rozemyne: Aaah... So wonderful. I wanna be strong like that too one day...
    • Karstedt trumps over Brigitte and Eckhart and destroys far more feybeasts with each swing of his gigantic scythe. Rozemyne declares him to be the second coolest, right behind Gunther.
    • Ferdinand throws nets out to capture the approaching feybeasts, then puts his hand on the ground and pours mana into his net, causing explosions that destroy the caught creatures who have no way to escape.
      Ferdinand: Disappear.
Rozemyne: (thinking) That's terrifying. That's so, so terrifying.
    • Damuel's style isn't as flashy as the rest. His sword swings do not kill as many feybeasts as the other knights do, but he is much more confident than last time and can keep up far longer than everyone expected him to. On the next day, Ferdinand, Karstedt, and Eckhart want an explanation from Rozemyne about what she did to Damuel, as his mana capacity has increased far more than what is normal. Rozemyne then explains that she just taught him her mana compression method. It was Damuel who worked so hard to become strong.
  • Sylvester and Ferdinand ponder who and why someone would try to goad Wilfried into committing treason and Rozemyne is the only one who figures that it must be an outsider who wanted to harass Sylvester's family. Sylvester didn't consider this and praises Rozemyne for her smart thinking. She also suggests to use the memory search tool, which would be part of Wilfried's punishment, while allowing them to find out which nobles tricked him.
  • Rozemyne is teaching her mana compression method to Ferdinand, Sylvester, Florencia, and Karstedt's family. Everyone but Ferdinand makes immediate progress after Rozemyne teaches them the first step. Because Ferdinand already developed something similar to the first step years ago, by experimenting on himself. Then Rozemyne says that it was just the first step, a warm up before the second one. Ferdinand starts getting results after she shows him the second step.
  • Rozemyne protects Wilfried and Charlotte during the beginning of winter socializing and does most of the talking, as she is the only one of the three who knows noble euphemisms well enough and studied which nobles are dangerous to her and her family.
  • An enraged Rozemyne races towards Charlotte's kidnapper on her highbeast with Angelica jumping on Lessy to ride along. They quickly catch up, forcing the kidnapper to let go of Charlotte with Angelica leaping at Charlotte to catch her. Cornelius then appears on his highbeast to save both Angelica and Charlotte.
  • After Rozemyne is abducted and poisoned, Bonifatius appears suddenly and attacks one of the men who ran away with Rozemyne with a roaring explosion.
Bonifatius: ARE YOU THE FOOL WHO KIDNAPPED MY ONLY GRANDDAUGHTEEER?!
    • To be more specific, he crushed his head with mana. That Crushing thing with mana Rozemyne sometimes does? Bonifatius did it so hard that the kidnapper's skull caved in.
  • When Bonifatius swings the bag where Rozemyne was put in too roughly, she falls out of it and almost hits the ground. However, Ferdinand appears and catches her in time. He then quickly reacts and brings her to the temple, where he gives her an antidote and prepares the jureve for her, which saves her life.
  • Bonifatius' side chapter:
    • His rescue of Rozemyne is again told from his view. Bonifatius is a master of Magic Enhancement, which he can use to improve his sight or strengthen his fists to smash his enemies to bloody bits with just one of his punches.
    • While chasing Rozemyne's kidnappers, he rides with maximum speed on his highbeast and then sends a giant ball of mana at the horse that carries Rozemyne, causing an explosion that leaves a crater behind. He then Crushes the horse and smashes its rider's head. When the horse collapses and begins to fall toward him, he enhances his legs and sends the horse flying with a powerful kick.
    • In the aftermath of the incident, his Gut Feeling tells him that Georgine must have leaked the secret passageways in the castle, which were possibly used to kidnap Rozemyne, to members of her faction. Not even Sylvester considered this.
  • Charlotte's side chapter:
    • Similar to Wilfried's chapter in Part 3, Volume 2, this chapter reveals in parts how much work Rozemyne actually does, far more than what she is telling the reader. It completely overwhelms Charlotte, who intended to take Rozemyne's place. Wilfried, who knows his limits better now, funnily can handle Rozemyne's work better than Charlotte.
    • As Charlotte finds out, Rozemyne actually was instructing Professor Moritz, the teacher of the winter playroom, and delicately guided the children in a way to learn efficiently and fairly, as well as offered rewards, which united all the children of Ehrenfest and led to a harmonious time.
    • Charlotte is impressed how unbelievably efficient Rozemyne's attendants work. For instance, Damuel can handle the paperwork just fine, even though he's a knight.
  • Viscount Illgner needed only around half a year to earn enough gold to buy Volk. Even he is amazed how fast that went. In retrospect, this was all thanks to how smoothly things went with the purchase and payment, which was set up by Ferdinand, Rozemyne and Benno.
  • Fran's side chapter:
    • Even in her sleep, Rozemyne is still supplying the duchy with her mana. Ferdinand regularly has to enter her secret room and use feystones to absorb her mana. It was enough for the two years she was asleep.
    • Fran also reveals that Rozemyne kept a safety net, her emergency funds so to say. Her attendants can all keep work going without many issues, thanks to Benno's help and her contingency plans that Fran is executing.
    • Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Ferdinand calls Justus for help to handle the printing business. Justus adjusts quickly and does his job very fast and efficiently, on top of trying to investigate Rozemyne's kidnapper, which is another testament to his competence.
    • Fran displays his glib tongue when Brother Egmont appears and demands a new gray shrine maiden to replace the one he impregnated. He delays him long enough for Ferdinand to arrive and shut Egmont up.
  • While frightening, Damuel was smart enough to understand Elvira's Secret Test of Character (Brigitte did not). He knew he would have died if he had accepted to move to Illgner with Brigitte. As a Secret-Keeper who knew Myne before she became Rozemyne and has actually met her commoner family, that would have been the only way for Sylvester to keep that as a secret. Because Illgner is a far away backwater province of Ehrenfest duchy, there is no way for anyone to keep an eye on Damuel, both for spying (in case Damuel accidentally reveals that secret) and safety purposes (in case somebody sends a strike team to Illgner, kidnaps him and tortures/magically reveals the secret out of him).

Part 4

    Volume 1
  • When Wilfried makes the well-meaning but incredibly unwise move of insisting that Rozemyne not go to the Royal Academy's library until all the first-years pass their written classes, well, she's not willing to lose even one day of her library time, so that only means that all the first-years need to pass on the very first day! But rather than do what a typical high-ranking noble would and simply order the other nobles to pass, she puts in the work too- relentlessly coaching them, making corrections and keeping herself up late writing cheat sheets specifically for each noble that's still struggling with certain subjects. All the effort pays off, and each Ehrenfest first year passes all their written classes on the same day they are given.
Hartmut: And so begins another chapter of the legend of the Saint of Ehrenfest.
  • During mana compression class, Rozemyne is dismayed that she needs to show that she can compress her mana from the point where she wears the measuring tool- her mana is already so compressed that she's been selling her technique at a high price to chosen nobles in Ehrenfest, since it's just that good, so improving it beyond that is a huge ask. note  Nevertheless, she manages to quickly conceptualize and add a new step to her process- and as Professor Hirschur later reveals, she used a tool that she had designed to measure Ferdinand's mana compression on Rozemyne, and Rozemyne's new compression went past the maximum range that the modified tool could measure!
Please shut up. I’m trying to focus... I thought while opening the box my mana was packed into and letting it all out at once. I then started steadily pouring it into the charms I was borrowing and the enhancement tools on my limbs. Once I had finished packing as much mana into them as possible, my body felt incredibly light—so much so that I thought a single jump might send me floating up into the air.
In this moment and this moment alone, I am stronger than even Grandfather.

    Volume 2
  • When Ehrenfest's dormitory is alerted that a large group of nobles have gathered outside to ambush them now that Schwartz and Weiss's measuring is complete, the students spring into action immediately to prepare and help ensure they can return the shumils to the library and not have them stolen by force- which they almost succeed in through the combination of surprising the attackers with the Ehrenfest knights' strength (buffed by Rozemyne's Angriff blessing), Schwartz and Weiss's defense mechanisms reflecting attacks made towards their 'milady' and Rozemyne's denunciation of the instigating noble's lies at the start causing some of the students to back off. They get all the way to the library doors before being halted by the arrival of Prince Anastasius.
Rozemyne: I shall protect Schwartz and Weiss, and I shall protect the Royal Academy's library! No matter how much you insult me, nor how powerful of a greater duchy you belong to, I will show no mercy to anyone who attempts to steal these two shumils!
  • In order to settle the dispute over the ownership of the shumil magic tools (since they are the property of royalty), it's decided that the victor of a treasure-stealing ditter match will become the owners. It seems to be a Foregone Conclusion since Ehrenfest's opponent is Dunkelfelger- a much higher ranking duchy with a heavy martial focus, and who have been virtually undefeated in ditter in recent years. They even start at an advantage, since Ehrenfest has to use every one of their knights, and Dunkelfelger- with a much larger 'pool'- can pick their very best knights to match the number that Ehrenfest is fielding. Ehrenfest is also hampered by poor coordination and a hotheaded knight ignoring orders. But they didn't reckon on Rozemyne joining the fray...
    • Rozemyne stages several minor upsets over the course of the match simply by virtue of not being an apprentice knight- since speed ditter has been all that's taught at the Royal Academy since the civil war due to the war reducing, she's able to immediately identify blind spots in their strategy, like Ehrenfest not considering attacking Dunkelfelger's knights while they're hunting or returning with their 'treasure' feybeast (speed ditter is only focused on finding and killing the target feybeast as quickly as possible, not engaging the other team's knights). Nevertheless, thanks to the skill of the Dunkelfelger knights and their commander, they rally quickly and with their feybeast secure in their territory, it looks like Ehrenfest won't have another shot at victory...
    • Until Rozemyne takes a ruelle fruit out of her pocket, drips some of Ferdinand's foulest-tasting rejuvenation potion on it, and has Judithe use a slingshot to land it square in mouth of the previously bound and docile feybeast that Dunkelfelger captured. From hard experience, she knows exactly what happens when a feybeast eats a ruelle, and the tables abruptly turn as the feybeast becomes the size of a two story building, bursts its bonds and goes on a rampage right in the middle of Dunkelfelger's territory- causing Dunkelfelger to be forced to attack and weaken it, while Ehrenfest waits till it's nearly down and then uses a long-range attack to kill it and nab the feystone, securing their underdog victory.

    Volume 3
  • Cornelius's quick reflexes save Rozemyne from literally hitting the ceiling when Bonifatius tosses her into the air to congratulate her for coming first in class at the Royal Academy - but she still would have plummeted towards the floor instead if Karstedt hadn't caught her; Bonifatius's son and grandson masterfully tag teaming to save her from his enthusiasm and Super-Strength.
  • When Rozemyne wants to intervene and protect her laynoble retainer Philine, who had the money she worked hard to earn stolen by her family, Sylvester and Ferdinand can only suggest that Rozemyne tell Philine to earn the money again from scratch and this time tell her to entrust it to Rozemyne for safekeeping, because neither of them can think of a way for Rozemyne to solve the problem that doesn't come across as abusing her authority to interfere in a domestic dispute (since it's typical for laynoble children to give their income to their households).
    • Cue Hartmut- an underage scholar- interjecting to say that he can't believe he did this, but he gave Philine the wrong funds from Rozemyne's budget when paying her for the work she did. Rozemyne therefore must go get it back from her and instead give her the 'correct' money to avoid an interduchy incident, thus easily supplying the pretext Rozemyne needs to go visit Philine's family immediately and make sure she gets to keep her money (and also ends up removing both her and her younger brother from their physically abusive circumstances).

    Volume 4
  • After all the lengthy preparation and buildup for the entwickeln spell used to remodel the lower city in order to bring it up to a higher hygiene and appearance standard by adding sewers and garbage disposal areas, Rozemyne is inspired to try her recently learned waschen spell (usually used to clean a single persons body at a time) to clean the filthy city manually, causing Ferdinand to bemoan her inefficiency and promptly draw a magic circle in the air, using some relatively small feystones from himself and Rozemyne to cause the entire lower city to magically flood and become as sparkling clean as the Noble's Quarter in roughly ten seconds. The commoners watching are both terrified and awed by the display, making it easy for them to commit to maintaining the newly cleaned city.
  • Ehrenfest moving from thirteenth to tenth in ranking. Not only is this notable due to three places in one year being quite significant- but this is almost certainly the first time since before the civil war that Ehrenfest has risen in the ranking due to its own merits, rather than the misfortunes of other duchies causing them to slide below Ehrenfest. And this all happens after Rozemyne arrives on the scene at the Royal Academy for her very first year, pushing the students' already-improving grades even further and finally unveiling some of the new products she's responsible for to other duchies, causing interest in Ehrenfest to skyrocket.

Royal Academy Stories - First Year
  • Traugott's chapter is mostly a Humiliation Conga as his uncle Justus prioritizes his work for Ehrenfest's dorm and information gathering over his on-paper job of acting as his nephew's adult attendant, but it comes to a head when Traugott realizes he's made an error in throwing away his position as Rozemyne's retainer, and declares to Justus that he'll apologize to Rozemyne and ask to be reinstated as her guard knight, privately thinking that she'll immediately agree, being soft and weakhearted. Next he knows, Justus has choke-slammed him into the ground, and is subjected to a protracted "Reason You Suck" Speech dispelling all his prideful misconceptions about the scale of his error, implications for his future and his misreading of the motivations of various persons. And then he really lets him have it when Traugott suggests that his grandmother Rihyarda changes masters on a whim.
"Mother is from an archducal branch family that has sworn loyalty to the archduke. She is not given a choice in who she serves; she obeys Aub Ehrenfest's orders and works beneath whatever member of the archducal family is least able to acquire retainers. I will not allow you to defile her life with your words. (...) If you don't stop being such an idiot and start doing better, I won't let go next time."

    Volume 5
  • When Effa gets the news that a dyeing competition has been announced- with the prize being the role of Lady Rozemyne's personal dyer- she immediately determines to not let the chance to finally see her daughter in person, as well as provide what direct support she can, slip away. While her coworkers are still discussing the news, Effa wastes no time in finding and securing the best available piece of undyed cloth for her to use as her entry. She takes no nonsense from a male coworker that tries to pressure her into letting him win and giving up the cloth she secured- and in the end, not only is her entry accepted for the competition, but Rozemyne (while unable to identify which entry is her mother's, as there are no names displayed by the entries), does narrow it down to three choices, and lets Brunhilde make the final selection- Effa's!

    Volume 6
  • The ternisbefallen hunt showing some of Ehrenfest's royal academy students fighting for the first time and Bonifatius' training apparently paying off quite well. The reader also gets to see that while Wilfried has less mana than Rozemyne, his quantity is still archduke candidate level.
  • Rozemyne still manages to outshine Wilfried, though, by turning her schtappe into bona fide divine instruments - first the God of Darkness's cape to blindfold the feybeast, and later Flutrane's staff so she can regenerate the mana-starved earth- which takes so much mana that even she is severely drained at the end of it, despite chugging many of the most potent rejuvenation potions she has on her- but she nevertheless succeeds, and the gathering spot is even more mana-rich than it was before the attack!

    Volume 8
  • Rozemyne quickly deduces that Ferdinand is sacrificing his safety and happiness for Ehrenfest's sake and that doesn't realize that he has a number of people in his life that desperately don't want him to leave and will mourn his absence instead of pragmatically thinking of the benefits he can provide from Ahrensbach. Unwilling to let this continue, she drops all her hard-learned noble mannerisms and calls him out to his face.
"Listen here. You've taught me a lot as my guardian. You've looked after me and gone to great lengths for my sake, haven't you? You made me potions and charms, and out of all the nobles in Ehrenfest- whether it be Sylvester, Florencia, or even my fiancé Wilfried- you've cared for me more than anyone. Isn't it obvious that I think of you as family? Why can't you understand that? (...) Yes, as family. You sure are dense when it comes to how other people feel about you, huh?"
  • After finally getting through to Ferdinand, Rozemyne turns to her promised blackmail of him- insisting that he must communicate with her and ask for help if he's in distress so that she can provide it, because if she's left to wonder how he's doing, she'd go to any lengths to save him- even if it involves making an enemy of Ahrensbach or the Sovereignty. Initially incredulous, Ferdinand quickly realizes that she's not bluffing and means every word of what she says, and capitulates to her demands in fairly short order.

    Volume 9

Part 5

    Volume 1
  • When Wilfried performs the divine protection ceremony, he gets twelve protections despite only having six affinities, stunning everyone present. note  Rozemyne holds her tongue, because she got protections for about half the total subordinate gods as well as the protections for her seven attributes, meaning her total was around forty!
    • This is soon followed by another Ehrenfest student delivering another shocker- quiet little Philine, a laynoble scholar with only one affinity, acquiring a new color through the ceremony by gaining the divine protection of Mestionora, Goddess of Wisdom, a Wind subordinate- likely in no small part due to her devotion and diligence in supporting Rozemyne's bookmaking and gathering new stories for her. Hirschur remarks that this development is even more notable than Wilfried's protections- since he's an 'exceptionally rare' instance, but Philine- not being an archnoble or archduke candidate in addition to not being a knight nor Dunkelfelger student- would already be exceptionally rare for getting any protections from a subordinate, and gaining a new color on top of that is even more unheard of.

    Volume 2
  • Lestilaut brings a secret treasure from Dunkelfelger with him to the ditter match in order to allow him to bypass Rozemyne's defenses- a shield made from the highest-quality Darkness feystones imaginable. After a clumsy stab from Rozemyne with a fully charged Leidenschaft spear, it's reduced to nothing but mana-saturated golden dust, and he's unceremoniously ejected from her Schutzaria shield bubble, turning what should have been his moment of triumph into ignominy.

    Volume 3
  • Both Rozemyne and Hannelore end up needing to stand their own ground rather than letting their respective parents do the talking to keep a situation from devolving into a Sustained Misunderstanding and both manage to go through it without any hesitation.
  • The awards ceremony is chock-full of moments for Ehrenfest:
    • Ehrenfest's knights receive third place in the ditter awards, behind only the #2 and #1 ranked duchies, and it's noted that Ehrenfest has never placed so highly in its entire history! Especially impressive since two of Ehrenfest's most notable/ powerhouse knight students- Angelica and Cornelius- had already graduated in prior years, so they weren't a contributing factor in Ehrenfest's performance in this year.
    • Ehrenfest's joint research with Dunkelfelger takes first prize, and their joint research with Ahrensbach takes third, so two of the three joint research projects that they were a part of were prizewinners.
    • Many Ehrenfest students are honor students, including Rozemyne's retainers Leonore, Matthias and Brunhilde.
    • As in prior years, Rozemyne is first-in-class, but this year she's not just first in her year overall, but also the scholar course and the archduke candidate course. Being able to finally participate in the awards ceremony and see her efforts recognized by everyone in attendance is a huge morale boost for her.
  • Ferdinand triple-stacking a brew-accelerating magic circle that, as a single copy, requires both split-second timing and a lot of mana control to avoid botching the brew.

    Volume 8
  • Between her mana capacity and her Book of Mestionora, Rozemyne gets plenty of impressive acts under her belt, including reactivating long-dormant magic tools and dyeing a Greater Duchy foundation. After the latter, she starts wielding spells that were last seen being used by Sylvester in Part 2.

    Volume 9
  • Gunther: 1. Wolfaniel: 0.
