Awesome / Alice Through the Looking Glass

Go To

  • The beginning where Alice sails her ship away from pirates, and eventually loses them by turning her ship almost completely sideways and going over a rocky sandbar, which disables the pirate ships when they try to follow.
  • The cute seconds making the scary minutes is pretty neat, special effects wise, but that is overshadowed when the minutes make The Hour, which allows the silly, clumsy little automatons to keep time itself from collapsing by physically forcing the Grand Clock to keep going, stopping only when Irascebeth's paradox causes them to rust solid along with the Clock.
  • When Alice's mom catches her trying to escape from the mental institution, her first instinct is to bar the door, preventing the hospital staff from intercepting her daughter.
  • During the rust scene, Cheshire dies the way he lived—smiling and making a clever quip. (He gets better.)
  • A comparatively miniscule event with a massive payout is when the Chronosphere, despite not technically being connected to its pedestal, manages to produce a "chrono-electric(?)" spark that clears away the rust around it and pulls it those last few inches, as if Time (the character) wasn't the only one willing to Screw The Rules when necessary. With this last act of defiance allowing it to ultimately return to its rightful place, restore power to the Great Clock, and clear away all of the rust throughout time.
