Legacies
It seems very much like Legacies can be refined down to a handful of tropes at their core:- Awakening Gambit: The Chessmaster.
- Blank Badges: The Resistance.
- Brotherhood of the Demon Wind: Master Swordsman Street Samurai.
- Carnival Melancholy: Snake Oil Salesman whose dubious wares take your soul, and with it, your luck.
- Choir of Hashmallim: The Paladin wields Holy Hand Grenade-flavored powers against the Abyss.
- Clavicularius: Shrinks who use Ars Goetia.
- Cloud Infinite: The Assimilator of mental faculties via soul theft.
- The Cult of the Doomsday Clock: Omnicidal Maniac, serving an Eldritch Abomination through liberal abuse of Time Tropes.
- The Daksha: Hermaphrodite Master Race.
- The Daoine: The Fair Folk deal out Laser-Guided Karma.
- Devourers of the Flesh: Cannibalism Superpower, I'm a Humanitarian, Token Evil Teammate to the Adamantine Arrow.
- Echo Walkers: Light Is Not Good, Soul Power.
- The Eleventh Question: We are all Sherlock Holmes, and yes, we can do his party trick.
- Fangs of Mara: He Who Fights Monsters.
- Forge Masters: Ultimate Blacksmith.
- Legion (Guardians): I Am Legion because I am a Face Stealer, except replace "Face" with "Soul".
- Legion (Scelesti): I Am Legion because I let Eldritch Abominations give me a bad case of Body Horror in exchange for Lovecraftian Superpowers.
- Logophages: Keepers of Forbidden Knowledge that believe there are Things Man Was Not Meant to Know. They aren't particularly clear on what they are, because they intentionally forget them after they find them and kill anyone else who knows. This isn't a good thing.
- The Pygmalian Society: The Muse.
- The Quiescent: Hard-boiled, Boring, but Practical, drifters because Muggles Do It Better.
- Scelesti: Omnicidal Maniac fueled by The Corruption.
- Skald: The Bard.
- Sphinx: Language Equals Thought.
- Stone Scribes: I Know Your True Name, but only if you're dead.
- Stewards of the Celestial Orrery: A noble line of Seers (no, not Seers of the Throne). Everyone loved them because their prophecies were always right. Until that one time when the Free Council was formed and literally none of them saw it coming.
- The Subtle Ones: He Who Must Not Be Seen.
- Tamers of The Cave: Martyrdom Culture, with the Power of the Void, constantly making Heroic Sacrifices.
- Tamers of Fire: The Hero with a Fatal Flaw, and skilled at Playing with Fire.
- Tamers of Rivers: The Medic, Making a Splash, and due to the Legacy's pro-feminist culture, almost always White Magician Girl.
- Tamers of Stone: Humble Hero, with a smattering of The Everyman. Surprisingly, they don't do much Dishing Out Dirt.
- Tamers of Winds: Seeker Archetype who can Blow You Away.
- Thread Cutters: Knight Templar following the philosophical ideal of The Hecate Sisters.
- Threnodists: Quantum Mechanics Can Do Anything.
- Transhuman Engineers: Gadgeteer Geniuses, seeking The Singularity.
- Tremere Liches: Our Liches Are Different, but they all partake of Immortality Immorality.
- Unforgotten Scions: The opposite of Keeper of Forbidden Knowledge.
- Whipping Boys: Power Perversion Potential personified.
- Wraiths Of Epochs: Luddites with the instinctive ability to see backwards in time with little difficulty. They also become something akin to The Undead to effectively become immune to poison and other physical needs. They rather militantly oppose the Cult of the Doomsday Clock.
