!!''Sonic Reclassified''
** Mystic Island, a key setpiece of this game, was originally planned to be a key focus of a cancelled project by Devy, ''Sonic: Dark Abyss''. The island was eventually picked up again for a new focus in the story of Reclassified.
!!''Sonic.EXE All-Stars'' (and its remasters)
** During development of ''Sonic.EXE All-Stars'', Devy made the decision to cut the majority of Rouge.EXE's content in order to save time with production, mainly since that game reused the levels seen in Sally.EXE.
** While not present in the original take on the Worst Ending cutscene of ''Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2'', Puroto was added in as part of the 16:9 remaster on Pico's Website/{{YouTube}} channel.
** The concept of the Angel Alliance originated from old artwork created by [=SonicFan50002=], depicting groups of heroes between dimensions as statues of sorts. This was later expanded to be a bigger part of the expanded saga of events.

[[folder:Trivia in general]]
* CreatorBacklash: Pico does not look back fondly on his earliest attempts with game design, especially with the earliest versions of a planned remake of the ''Phantom Saga'' and refusing to discuss it further if people bring it up.
* CreatorBreakdown: Devy himself had left the Sonic.EXE community entirely come 2022, wanting to outright distance himself from the creepypasta and the toxic fandom residing within. His breakdowns in question had been happening more recently, as seen with the Debut Demo being temporarily taken down and the top part of the description being filled with "[[MadnessMantra YOUR NOT GETTING THIS GAME]]" on loop, alongside privately denying any prospect of happiness. And worse, he cited ''VideoGame/HedgehogsBloodyCollection'' as outright cancelled despite ownership having been transferred by that point.
** Part of this breakdown wasn't helped from back in 2018, when Devy tried to state that he didn't like ''VideoGame/SallyExeContinuedNightmareEyeOfThree'', showing gameplay of it to demonstrate [[NintendoHard why he couldn't bring himself to like it]], only to be met with mass backlash from Jaiz's fans citing it as a "skill issue", even going as far as to attack him just for trying to voice his opinion. Even after [[CallingTheOldManOut Devy went and called out Jaiz on [=YouTube=]]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVEiE8cgg60 via this video]] stating how Sark Cream had caused Jaiz's games to become OvershadowedByControversy, this didn't stop those fans from DramaticallyMissingThePoint, proclaiming that the whole thing is solely fiction and doesn't affect reality, when in fact, it too clearly does, as demonstrated with the HarsherInHindsight [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos Slenderman stabbing]] a while back that kicked off the character's fall from grace. The issues mentioned here are one of the major reasons for Devy's breakdowns.
* HeAlsoDid:
** ''Creator/NotSoDevy'', before and after making these games, has made and is making several other projects, all of which can be seen on his page in this wiki.
** ''[=JordanGaming101=]'', the voice actor for [=SonicClone=] in the majority of ''All-Stars'', is also the lead creator of ''WebVideo/SonicLimitedEditionTheLostCartridge''.
** ''[=Oldum77=]'', who voice-acted Shadow and [=SoniKiller=] in ''Sonic.EXE All-Stars'', had also provided voice-acting to another creepypasta fangame, ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/dontleaveme/484334 Don't Leave Me]]'', and [[https://gamejolt.com/games/awholenewworld-exe-the-game/114742 made]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/toystory-exe-the-game/43367 several]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/toystory2-exe-the-game/170766 EXE]]-[[https://gamejolt.com/games/toystory3-exe-the-game/271794 based]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/sonic-exe-the-creepypasta-remake-v5/36907 video]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/sally-exe-the-creepypasta-remake/105536 games]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/monstersinc_exe/415722 in]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/supermetroid_exe/551330 the]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/Oldum77-exe-finale/364105 past]], including DenserAndWackier ''Crazed Edition'' variations of [[https://gamejolt.com/games/aladdin-exe-crazed-edition/158703 five]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/toystory-exe-crazed-edition/180062 of]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/toystory2_exe_crazed_edition/312106 these]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/toystory3_exe_crazed_edition/461582 past]] [[https://gamejolt.com/games/sonic_exe_crazed_edition/399239 games]].
*** Interestingly for Oldum, Sonic.EXE was not his sole focus, but he also did EXE-based works for the likes of Disney properties ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}'' and ''Franchise/ToyStory'', those being canon to a connected continuity he designed.
** [=PrimalKoopaPictures=], aside from being the lead developer on ''All-Stars Remake'' and ''All-Stars Refined Edition'', had also been a sprite animator, sometimes working in collaboration with the likes of ''Team Level UP'' on some works.
** [=CrystalChaos=], the current director for ''Reclassified'', had also been a part of the ''OTHERTALES'' fan works based on ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'' and ''VideoGame/{{Deltarune}}'', specifically leading an original take dubbed ''Deltarune: Broken Destiny''.
** E-200 Paragon, one of the major writers for ''Reclassified'', is also the lead writer for the upcoming ''[[VideoGame/SonicExeNightmareBeginning Nightmare]] [[VideoGame/SallyExeContinuedNightmareEyeOfThree Universe]] Rewrite''.
** Brigandistian, the main coder for ''Genesis.exe'', had also created his own Sonic.exe game in the past, namely ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/theafflictedritual/824397 Afflicted.ME: The Bloody Syndrome]]''.
** The creators of fan-made [=EXEs=] that show up in ''All-Stars 2'''s worst ending sequence have also made their own projects.
*** BEC Enterprises, the creator of Exegod, had written several Sonic.EXE fanfics of his own, such as ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/becdoesda/art/Sonic-exe-The-Untold-Origins-894922926 Sonic.EXE: The Untold Origins]]''[[note]]its game adaptation able to be played [[https://gamejolt.com/games/untoldorigins/367590 here]][[/note]], alongside Literature/NESGodzillaCreepypasta-inspired ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/becdoesda/art/Sonic-The-Wrath-of-Exetior-Chapter-1-735070399 Wrath of Exegod]]''. He also serves as the co-writer for ''WebVideo/SonicLimitedEditionTheLostCartridge''.
*** [=SFG1235=], the creator of Exrath, had been making his own game with the character as a star, known as ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/darkenedspiritsold/372295 Sonic.exe: Darkened Spirits]]'', as well as his own set of fanfiction; ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/sfg1235deviantart/art/Sonic-exe-Demonic-Era-Chapter-1-Part-1-730302102 Demonic]] [[https://www.deviantart.com/sfg1235deviantart/art/Sonic-exe-Demonic-Era-Chapter-1-Part-2-730375770 Rebirth]]'' and ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/sfg1235deviantart/art/Sally-exe-Demonic-Hell-Full-Story-760343350 Demonic Hell]]'', each with affectionate reference to other big Sonic.EXE takes and creepypastas.
*** Lucsan 2015, the creator of Exruby, had made some of his own games, such as ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/Ready_for_round_1/370194 Sonic.exe The Destiny]]'' and original creepypasta ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/YouDeservethisSonic/507113 Sonic CD - Alternative Ending]]''.
*** [=NightAkio=], the creator of TokenGirl, Glitched Amy/Puroto, had been making several fangames of his own, such as ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/glitchedamythebeginning/496423 Glitched Amy: The Beginning]]''[[note]]which is currently under a rework[[/note]], ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/sonic-exe-revived/627447 Sonic.EXE: Revived]]'' and ''[[https://gamejolt.com/games/koopa-insanity/743539 Super Mario Bros.: King's Slaughter]]''.
* WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings:
** While ''Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2'' had been officially archived, alongside another project by [=NotSoDevy=], ''VideoGame/FreedomPlanet: Neera's Backstory'', some people, of course, were adamant on wanting to see more of Devy's lost content reuploaded. However, Pico has stated repeatedly that he would not be archiving any more of Devy's projects (nor would he reupload games taken down in the past) unless he received permission to do so.
** ''Sonic.exe Delta Genesis'' is to be made using ''"Genesis Sonic Worlds"'', a modified framework made by ''Sonic's Gaming Hub''. However, after he noticed one too many instances of people stealing things from his framework and implementing it into their own, he had to put his foot down, [[https://gamejolt.com/p/okay-guys-i-need-to-repeat-this-policy-about-the-engine-one-more-t-nednafxb personally addressing the issue on GameJolt]] to warn people against stealing further, lest they get into deep trouble for it.

!!''Sonic Reclassified''
[[folder:Trivia for this game]]
* AuthorsSavingThrow: For the Sin Demo onwards, [=CrystalChaos=] removed the realistic fire and fire-crackling ambience to swap it out with the Sonic 3 fire sprites.
* CreatorBacklash:
** During the development stages of Reclassified, Crystal and Gold weren't afraid to voice their distaste for ''Sally.exe: Discovery'' being treated as canon in the Reclassified universe, especially with it being seen as OldShame by Devy himself. Rain did justify this, though, considering it isn't actually mentioned at all in-game.
** After enough time, Rain himself got frustrated enough with the decisions being made solely by Crystal and Gold for the game (where it was being stuck as just "Sonic.exe but Sonic Origins"), to the point that he permanently left the development team. Pico himself followed suit soon after, leaving what's left of the project in their hands alone.
* CreatorsFavorite: Between the letterbox backgrounds, [=CrystalChaos=] especially took a liking to the [[VideoGame/PacMan Ms. Pac-Man]] one, taking a liking to her a lot more than her own husband.
* CreatorsPest: In terms of levels, [=CrystalChaos=] had found Burned Hill Zone to be the most difficult level to port over from the Debut Demo due to the amount of bugs needed to be patched out.
* DevelopmentHell: From the Debut Demo's release, it took almost a year for development of the game to get back on track, due to an ownership transfer and lack of coders at the time, amongst other things.
* DummiedOut:
** For the Debut Demo, there was plans for [=MegaDrivX=] to trip up and stop chasing Tails after a certain amount of time had passed in "Burned Hill Zone Act 2". This has been scrapped for the demo, though will be reimplemented back in later.
** Similarly, Tails was meant to have a unique life loss sequence in the same level if the HEAT counter reached 0 from collecting too many ice rings, freezing in a block of ice before shattering to pieces. This isn't included in the Debut Demo and just has Tails losing a life the usual way.
** The Debut Demo has Launch Base Zone as Robotnik's first level, being set as a FetchQuest for robot parts. In ''Genesis' Awakening'', this was planned to be removed and replaced with [[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog28Bit Crystal Egg Zone]], which was to feature more puzzle-based progression between the two acts.
* OfficialFanSubmittedContent: For the upcoming updates to ''Reclassified'', letterbox backgrounds for Classic Mode were made by a few fans to be used in the full game.
* ReferencedBy: As part of the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo2Vf1sesmQ prologue]] of ''WebAnimation/TheEXESagaReanimated'', gameplay footage of Reclassified (particularly the Emerald Palace boss fight) was shown off as the narrator lists off particular works leading up to the present. WordOfGod mentioned that it was included to allow more people to acknowledge the game's existence.
* RoleEndingMisdemeanor: Rain willingly left the development of ''Sonic Reclassified'' after both Crystal and Gold refused to accept his criticism to the decisions being made on the project, meaning ''Delta Genesis'' and its sequels are now completely separate. Pico himself permanently stepped down from developing on the game soon afterwards, in turn marking the end for his game development history.
* WordOfGod: While ''Reclassified'' has yet to be completed, several bits of important lore are dropped on the Discord server by one of the game's co-writers.
** While the Sonic world is under an entirely different name in Reclassified, Mobians do exist, but they only reside on one area of Gaia, specifically [[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehogSpinball Mt. Mobius]].
** [[VideoGame/SonicUnleashed Light and Dark Gaia]] both exist within the game's universe, though aren't so prominent here for now.

!!''Sonic.EXE All-Stars Classics''
[[folder:Trivia for these games]]
* ApprovalOfGod: BEC Enterprises and [=NightAkio=] both approved of the usage of their EXE characters in the original ''Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2'' and even provided assistance for the worst ending cutscene in some manner.
* CreatorBacklash:
** In a [[https://twitter.com/PicoDigitalStu1/status/1633550248676040743 Twitter thread]] made by the fangame's co-owner, ''Pico Digital Studios'', he mentioned how he came to hate the concept of [=SoniKiller=] when he was made for Sonic.EXE All-Stars, seeing that the VillainDecay planned out for him is deserved overall, despite the monster having his fans. This mutual feeling between several developers of the games means that [[AdaptedOut he'll have little to no further major screen time in future instalments]], though ownership for him overall has since been transferred.
-->"Now, I'm going to be blunt here; I no longer really like [=SoniKiller=]'s concept. I seriously feel that the idea's lost its charm since its introduction roughly 3 years back compared to more recent Sonic.EXE entities such as Fatal Error or WebVideo/Needlem0use. I understand that the complete monster might have his fans, but he's pretty much my source of OldShame ([[SarcasmMode thanks a lot to those comparing his appearance to]] [[VideoGame/SallyExeContinuedNightmareEyeOfThree Chaos Hunter]] /sar). There's no sympathy for that devil from me, no matter what. While his creation did serve as a building block for [[MassiveMultiplayerCrossover crossover]] fanfiction that me and a friend have been designing, I've deliberately given him villain decay to signify that he's lost the charm he once had. I personally feel he got that cruel and painful punishment coming to him."
** Pyrom wasn't afraid to express his distaste with "Thirst for Toxic Revenge" after VS [=SoniKiller=] released.
* CreatorsPest: Pico grew to hate [=SoniKiller=] overall, as mentioned in CreatorBacklash above.
* DescendedCreator:
** Before sharing ownership of ''Reclassified'' from Devy, Pico had voiced [=SonicClone=] in the first game's opening cutscene. Nowadays, [[OldShame it's a bit embarrassing to him after looking back at it]].
* FollowTheLeader: The critical reception of ''Sonic.EXE All-Stars'' inevitably led to similar concepts and imitators that combined a mix of content together into one game. Of course, the quality of these imitators vary.
* GodNeverSaidThat: [=SoniKiller=], in his original design, was commonly mixed up with Chaos Hunter from ''VideoGame/SallyExeContinuedNightmareEyeOfThree'' due to one part of the latter's design that only saw use '''once'''. Pico himself has had to clarify that neither are the same character and that their motives differ drastically.
* InMemoriam: Entering the KonamiCode on the title screen of ''Sonic.EXE All-Stars'' (with X, Z replacing B, A in this case) will show a tribute screen dedicated to Kazuhisa Hashimoto, its creator, who passed away during 2020. The background of said screen also shows an image of the title screen of ''VideoGame/{{Contra}}'' as appreciation for where the code originated from.

!!''Sonic.EXE All-Stars (new games)''
[[folder:Trivia for these games]]
* ApprovalOfGod: Both BEC and Pico, who had worked on [=SonicClone=]'s sprites, approved of a [[https://gamebanana.com/mods/460674 fan mod]] of ''Sonic Forever'' that implemented his non-EXE sprites into the game seamlessly. Pico even gave it some publicity via [=GameJolt=] and this article's main page.
* DearNegativeReader: Primal was quick to put his foot down concerning certain people who want games out as quickly as possible, mainly after hearing about other developers being unduly rushed to complete their games, and made a [[https://gamejolt.com/p/so-i-heard-what-happened-and-honestly-i-am-disappointed-so-in-ca-xvwt7iuz post]] flat-out calling this malicious act out.
* LineToGod: [[https://twitter.com/PicoDigitalStu1/status/1643971430386921473?s=20 An ongoing [=QnA=] on Twitter]] is present to answer any questions related to [=SonicClone=] as ''Refined Edition'' continues development. This eventually got moved to [[https://www.tumblr.com/pico-digital-studios/723761848682528768/sonicclone-qna-sonicexe-all-stars-refined?source=share Tumblr]] following the website's rebranding to "X".
