->''"Dreams are something you have to believe in. I almost gave up on mine. To all of you out there, please keep your dreams alive."''

Ke Huy Quan[[note]]Sometimes credited as Jonathan Ke Quan. "Huy" [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqxVXjGu5BQ also essentially rhymes with "Louie"]] when pronounced correctly.[[/note]] (born August 20, 1971 in Saigon, nowadays' Ho Chi Minh City) is a Vietnamese-born American actor and stunt choreographer.

After his family fled UsefulNotes/{{Vietnam}} as refugees following the end of [[UsefulNotes/TheVietnamWar the war]], he became a successful child actor in The80s, playing Short Round in ''Film/IndianaJonesAndTheTempleOfDoom'' and Data in ''Film/TheGoonies''.

Following several roles in TheNineties, Quan retired from acting in the early 2000s due to the lack of roles for Asian actors in Hollywood, working as a stunt choreographer for ''Film/XMen1'' and an assistant director for ''Film/TheOne'' and ''Film/TwoThousandFortySix''.

However, Quan returned to acting in 2019, being inspired to do so following the success of ''Film/CrazyRichAsians''. His career experienced a major resurgence because of his widely acclaimed performance in 2022's ''Film/EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce'', for which he won multiple awards, including the [[MediaNotes/AcademyAwardForBestActorInASupportingRole Oscar for Best Supporting Actor]]. The win made Quan the second of two actors of Asian descent to win an Oscar in that category[[note]]the other being Creator/HaingSNgor in 1985 for ''Film/TheKillingFields''[[/note]] and the first Vietnam-born actor to win an Oscar.

Since then, Quan appeared in the Creator/DisneyPlus series ''Series/{{American Born Chinese|2023}}'' and joined the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse as Ouroboros in the second season of ''Series/{{Loki|2021}}''. In June 2023, it was announced that he had been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as an actor.
