* BreatherLevel: Mission 90, the 7th special mission, the second-to-last one in the game, has… eight grey tanks. It's set on the extremely open Mission 4 map, so all eight tanks have a straight shot at you, but fortunately, grey tanks are the second-weakest tank type in the game. While it is a decent challenge, it's ''nothing'' compared to [[NintendoHard the preceding missions]].

** Mission 17. The map is for the most part divided into four quadrants, and the stage itself pits you against ''five'' green tanks. The layout of the map and their immobile nature means that you're forced to actively hunt down the tanks, and they can and will take advantage of the numerous walls to ricochet rockets into you with their signature laser-guided accuracy while you're trying to approach them. And in case you forgot, there's ''six of them'' - meaning that it's easy to make one wrong move and suddenly find six rockets coming from all directions.

* JustHereForGodzilla: The game itself wasn't received well and it's among the least popular first party Nintendo games nowadays, but it launched at a $50 pricepoint with a $40 controller bundled in, so a ton of people bought it just to get a new Wiimote that had a cheap $10 dollar party game attached. This was especially appealing to families needing multiple controllers and more multiplayer games for their Wii at an efficient price. Plus the game released when Nintendo was still having its notorious Wii and Wiimote shortages, so even for those that had no interest in getting this game it may have been the only way at the time to get a new Wiimote without the hassle of checking more stores for Wiimotes in stock or trying again another day. The price would additionally drop farther later on to where the game became nearly free alongside the Wiimote, driving significant late-life sales even after the aforementioned shortage issues were gone. You'll probably struggle to find many people who owned Wii Play and actually played it more than a few times.

If you haven't gotten the hang of dodging or countering their shots, expect to lose a few lives as you learn.

* CriticProof: Wii Play got mediocre to poor reviews from critics, having a 58/100 Metacritic score, yet it became one of the best selling video games ever and sold over 28 million copies. However as the JustHereForGodzilla section below covers, this had very little to do with any merits the game had itself, rather than the fact it came bundled with a Wiimote while being only slightly more expensive than a standalone Wiimote.

** But despite being introduced ''before'' the purple/white/black tanks, the green tanks are almost universally agreed to be the worst of them all. They're effectively immobile turrets that shoot high-speed rockets which can bounce twice. However, what makes them so lethal is that they have ''incredibly'' good AI - they have impossible accuracy, can predict movement, regularly lead their shots, ricochet their shots on purpose, calculate their bounces to hit players from across the entire map, and attack in a way that makes it extremely difficult to predict where their rockets are coming from until they're in your face. If you're not paying attention to them, one can easily snipe you from the other side of the stage and end your game ''seconds'' into the level. Good luck if they're backing up other high-level tanks, or if there are more than one of them.

** Black tanks move with ungodly speed (fast enough to sometimes literally outrun your shells), rapidly fire high-velocity rockets, and have what is easily the best AI of any CPU tank bar maybe the greens. Like the purples before them, fighting one in a direct confrontation is extremely difficult, and they never come alone.
