At the time, these were no doubt intended to sound like futuristic versions of contemporary sports. Between the time the episode aired and when it was indicatively set in the year 2000, actual (video) games by these names would be made. In the 1970s, Creator/{{Mattel}} released an early handheld video game called Electronic Baseball game (and others have been released since).
