* HilariousInHindsight: During their road trip, Bart and his friends visit Missouri, which Homer previously described as "Vegas, if it were run by Ned Flanders". A later episode would have Homer and Flanders visit the real Vegas in order to get the latter to start enjoying life more, only for them to get more than they bargained for when they get too drunk and marry two barmaids. One can't help but think that if they went to Missouri like Bart and co. did in this episode, they would have been fine.

Idiot Plot is now a definition-only page.
Deleted line(s) 2 (click to see context) :
* IdiotPlot: In spades: not only is Bart able to get a driver's license ''and'' rent a car in spite of obviously being and looking underage (and he barely being able to see over the wheel), but he, Milhouse, Nelson and Martin end up broke, stranded and with no way to get home or without anyone knowing where they really are. Still an enjoyable episode though.

Of course Homer isn't literally considering murder; it's a figure of speech.
