* NarmCharm: Basically, this album is much better than it should be, as a quickly-recorded lark meant to capitalize on a goofy hoax that a lot of people took seriously. There's a nice lighthearted vibe, and the three original songs are likable. In the liner notes of the Rhino reissue, it was explained that the Cleanliness and Godliness Skiffle Band were in the process of breaking up (they did their last shows in early 1970), and weren't doing many live gigs at that point, so they were very focused on the album, and there might also have been a sense of wanting to go out on a high note before they split up.

* Padding: Everything past the first three songs was recorded solely so there could be a full-length Masked Marauders album to sell. The only reason they did the extended version of "Season of the Witch" was to push the album's run time over 30 minutes.

** The real Music/BobDylan and Music/GeorgeHarrison were later part of a real supergroup which also was based on an elaborate backstory, and also did similarly lighthearted music.

* LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition: invokedThe 2001 Creator/RhinoRecords reissue is called The Complete Deity Recordings, the complete recordings being the entirely of the album, plus the mono single mixes of "Cow Pie" and "I Can't Get No Nookie".

It still counts since it was one of Rhino Handmade's limited edition reissues (just 2,000 copies made).

** "I Can't Get No Nookie" could almost be taken these days as a retroactive swipe at Music/LimpBizkit's "Nookie", right down to both songs rhyming "nookie" with "cookie".
** The piano EpicRiff on "More or Less Hudson's Bay Again" is very close to the EpicRiff on "Werewolves of London".
