** The same story climaxes with Baymax performing a HeroicSacrifice and Hiro seemingly losing him... [[SubvertedTrope for a little bit, anyway]]. This is the same way the movie ends, though the circumstances change.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: Big Hero 6 was adapted into a movie by Disney, and it is definitely for kids (albeit with a few mature, heartfelt moments). The comics upon which the Disney movie is based.....less so. The team was assembled in response to Hiroshima and Nagasaki's bombings, Hiro's parents were killed by a spirit made out of dead souls, Honey Lemon is more voluptuous, Wasabi throws knives at his opponents, and Gogo has ties with the yakuza. And Baymax is made out of genetic material from Hiro's dead father. It's very clear Disney cleaned up most of this for the kids.

** The team's final appearance in ''Amazing Spider-Man: Ends of the Earth'' has the team work with a g-man named Mr. Oshima to defeat the Everwraith again. Afterwards, Mr. Oshima says he'll mobilize the "Yokai Containment Unit" to imprison the Everwraith. Only two years later, and the villain of [[WesternAnimation/BigHero6 the movie]] is literally named Yokai.
