* EndingAversion: ''Many'' people were put off by the ending being a [[spoiler:''massive'' SequelHook]]. After five years of development, most were expecting the ending to be better than this. Pathea defended their decision on the grounds that, after five years, they were tired of working on the game and wanted to focus on a new project, and have promised to deliver a sequel....which really didn't solve the problem.

Pared down the turret crafting example under Scrappy Mechanic.

## Refine your resources.
### Refine the resin into plastic.
### Refine the copper into wires.
### Refine the wood and animal fat into charcoal.
### Refine the coal and petroleum into fuel.
## Refine them some more.
### Combine the fuel and petroleum with some sand to make silicon.
### Turn the silicon, plus some copper and aluminium, into a whole bunch of aluminium alloy.
## Craft components.
### Craft the wires and plastic into circuit boards.
### Craft the iron and some more plastic into capacitors and resistors.
### Use those components and even more plastic to craft a beefier circuit board.
### Make more plastic and copper wire and turn those, plus the zinc, silver and rubber, into a battery.
## Craft the pieces of the turret.
### Craft the turret's electropult.
### Have a cup of tea while the progress bar crawls across your screen, unless you're using the speedy Factory Replicator.
### Make an aluminium base.
### Make an aluminium turret casing.
## At long last, craft the turret!

Probably not a good idea to post Flame bait. Sorry.

* FlameBait: The ending - seriously, ''the ending''. [[spoiler: After five years of development, most fans were not impressed ''at all'' with the blatant SequelHook that was given to us]].

* BreatherBoss: The Layerback you fight during [[spoiler: a Pujan peace treaty ritual]] doesn't feel like much of a challenge after the laser-spewing [=UFOs=] of previous quests.
* DemonicSpiders: For an early-game character, Lepus Hares are a fast, deadly threat no wooden sword can match. For a late-game character, the packs of giant six-legged mountain lions in the northern planes can be a nightmare, able to shrug off dozens of bullets and remove your head in one bite.

* TrappedByMountainLions: The mission to the Andhera cave in the forest is largely its own thing. None of the bug-shooting, colonist-rescuing action that ensues is related to the ongoing plot, except some insult-slinging between Nan and Hitomi which fleshes out Earth and Mars's conflict. Apart from a later side-quest given by Agnes, the Andhera never do anything interesting again.
