* WhatAnIdiot: Sure, Crunch...let's go over to Cortex Castle to rob the mad scientist of some food. We won't get caught! [[WhatCouldPossiblyGoWrong What could possibly go wrong?]]
** Sure, Cortex...grab Tani and Crunch, even though they're your least loyal minions. They couldn't possibly ruin your plans or rebel against you in any way!

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: The story, being a fanfic, revels in it. Many of the characters from the [[Fanchise/CrashBandicoot original games]] are given personalities and motivations that go beyond anything the games portrayed.

Per cleanup thread. The events don't really have any connection. Crash died around 2008 and the creator losing interest in a series has nothing to do with it getting worse in this case.

* HarsherInHindsight: The film, as well as the story as a whole, were cancelled when Tara tired of the series, back in 2009. This was roughly the time the ''Crash Bandicoot'' franchise was essentially dealt a death blow, when Activision bought it, and laid off the development team behind the next game.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: The entire series, really. Keep in mind that it was done by ''ONE'' person (sans the voices, obviously), who was a teenager at the time -- she was in her early twenties when she ''stopped''. And, it was done in her spare time, for no pay! Sure, better animation might be out there, but wow....It definitely qualifies as [[AwesomeArt awesome art.]]
* CrowningMomentOfFunny: The potoroos' introduction scene.

SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: The potoroos' introduction scene.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** Koala Kong may be stupid, but he selflessly offers to let himself be taken instead of Crunch and Tani.
** Crunch and Tani finally being reunited. Sure, the scene may be unfinished, but that doesn't make it any less heartwarming.

** JerkassWoobie: Crunch, of all people. Sure, he was abused throughout his childhood and kidnapped from his home, but did he really need to lash out at Kris? Poor guy just said hello!

Bring it to the thread.

** CompleteMonster: Cortex. He is VERY different from the cartoon villain he was in the games (even in the [[VideoGame/CrashBandicoot first]] [[VideoGame/CrashBandicootCortexStrikesBack two]] games, when his evil was at its peak, he wasn't nearly as vile as he was in this series!

* TearJerker: Most of the story, really. From the moment of his creation, Crunch was subjected to a life of torture and abuse. He was given no knowledge of his life before given sentience, separated from his family, was told his sister was killed ([[spoiler: not really, though]]), brushed off by Cortex, ''then'' abducted from his home and forced into slavery.

* NightmareFuel: The idea that the cartoon villain ''Dr. Neo Cortex'' could be a complete sadist.
** Crunch's nightmare. [[spoiler: Tani appears before Crunch, and he smiles at her...only to notice Cortex standing across the room. Cortex fires a laser blast that kills Tani instantly. She falls to the floor, ''blood dripping out''. Sure, it turns out it was [[AllJustADream All just a dream]], but still...yikes.]]

** Kris Roo is one of the biggest woobies in the series. No one likes him back on Earth OR in Cortex's space station. He selflessly helps the other minions escape ([[spoiler: it doesn't work....]]) and gets brutally murdered by Cortex for his trouble.

*HilariousInHindsight: Tani and Crunch live on the second island in the archipelago. At the time the story was written, the island had no name. Tara used this opportunity to give the island the name "X.Treme Island." Not long afterward, the island would be dubbed "Wumpa Island" in ''Crash of the Titans''.
*TheWoobie: Quite a few -- most of Cortex's minions don't seem to like it there.
