* FriendlyFandoms: Conversely, Oney fans are on good terms with fans of ''WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic'', mainly due to Doug Walker himself seeing the boys' jokes of him as good-natured ribbing and that he found their impressions of him ActuallyPrettyFunny.

* HePannedItNowHeSucks: The boys are very, VERY honest and clear about their opinions about the games they play. This has led to call outs of this, most notably for ''VideoGame/GodOfWarPS4'' which Chris panned on Twitter, resulting in several comments criticizing him.

* TheScrappy: Chris, Zach, and Tomar ''hate'' Kamala Khan from ''VideoGame/MarvelsAvengers'', and compare her overly quirky fangirl personality to that of a stereotypical Redditor (her being a canonical Redditor doesn't help her case either). Not helping matters is her tendency to [[CaptainObvious constantly state the obvious]], her [[{{Wangst}} childish tantrum towards Bruce Banner over hating her powers]], [[SpotlightStealingSquad the huge amount of gameplay focus on her as opposed to the other Avengers,]] and the unnerving way her hands look when they grow huge. It gets to the point that Chris yells for her to shut up out of ''genuine anger'' multiple times through the story.

** Cory Beck was unanimously liked in the earlier days of the channel when he would make sporadic appearences whenever he was in town to visit. But as his appearences became more frequent in 2022 opinions on him became more divided. While some find him hilarious due to being the biggest space case on the channel, others can't stand his tendency to enter into a screaming rage at the slightest inconvenience, his constant lusting over any thing that looks remotely female (as well as how frequently he bring up disgusting fetishes) or his habit of being confidently wrong about half the topics he brings up.

* BrokenBase: The recurring guest appearances of Matt of {{WebVideo/SuperMega}} can be considered this. While many fans felt that he brought a sort of chemistry that blended well with the main trio at the time[[note]](Chris, [=DingDong=], and Julian) [[/note]] to create many memorable moments, a lot of others disliked him for his tendency to show up randomly in series that were already in-progress with just the main three, not to mention his [[SensoryAbuse infamous shriek]] that served no purpose other than to catch viewers off guard.

** Chris asking Tomar how he would respond to a brick falling off a truck and crushing his wife's head?[[note]]a reference to a real-world tragedy that [[HorrifyingTheHorror even Zach thought was over the line]][[/note]] Shocking and disturbing.[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmhwB_rtorg&t=1250s Tomar's calm, measured response that he would take the time to get the driver's plates and file a complaint?]] ''Absolutely hysterical.''

* DesignatedHero: Conversed. Chris recounts a time where he was on a date with someone and they went out to watch a movie with her, which was about a woman actively trying to find a husband amongst everyone she's ever slept with to "not be labeled as a slut" and a guy who "used her house to hide from girls he used for sex"[[note]]The film is presumably ''Film/WhatsYourNumber?''[[/note]]. He, [=DingDong=] and Julian talk about characters that "they're supposed to like but are total assholes" for a bit shortly after.

* FandomRivalry: A VERY small amount of fans have a rivalry with ''WebVideo/GameGrumps'' and to an extent ''[=SuperMega=]'' fans, primarily having issues with Arin and bringing up Julian and Ding Dong's negative feelings towards ''VisualNovel/DreamDaddy'', a game endorsed by the Grumps. Averted HEAVILY in real life as the two teams are on good terms with Arin, Matt & Ryan being frequent guests on [=OneyPlays=]; For a while starting with the Sonic Adventure 2 playthrough, they even shared the same recording space.

** ''WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall'' fans have a low opinion on Oney fans as these fans will happily torment Linkara by tap dancing on his BerserkButton and think it's funny.

** While playing ''Star Wars: Obi-Wan'', the boys encounter a glitch in a cutscene that causes a man to spawn in the middle of the Jedi council chamber, make a bizarre scream/buzzer noise and then fade away while Obi-Wan talks with the non-existent Jedi Council. They react with a combination of laughter and disbelief at what they just witnessed.

** The fandom jokingly refers to Genesis Valentine as a God-like figure. This is thanks to the fact that he would make [[BlatantLies outrageous and unverifiable claims like]] [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking being able to destroy someone else's computer with his sword, being invincible, and having beaten]] ''VideoGame/ShadowTheHedgehog'' [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking on a supposed secret difficulty]].
** Tomar also counts as one while being a MemeticPsychopath at the same time, as it's common to depict him as an InvincibleVillain who nobody is safe from, much likes [[Creator/{{Seanbaby}} Seanbaby's]] interpretation of Popsicle Pete.

** The Hitler Hypothetical[[labelnote:Explanation]]One of Chris' more infamous hypotheticals was whether the guys would torture a tiny, but otherwise perfect clone of UsefulNotes/OsamaBinLaden if he had the memories of the original terrorist leader. Cue nearly ''ten minutes'' of arguing, over such topics as the ethics and mechanics of miniature despot cloning, whether a "tiny clone" counted as a "perfect copy" if it was tiny, and whether the hypothetical even ''made sense'', with the original subject of bin Laden being all but forgotten with Hitler taking his place instead. Fans often use the whole incident as a good example of how downright ''insane'' Chris' hypothetical arguments can become.[[/labelnote]]

** Linkara/"The Lightbringer"[[labelnote:Explanation]]Chris' impression of Linkara during the ''Donkey Kong Country 2'' playthrough (specifically the imagined scenario of Linkara as "The WebComic/{{Lightbringer}}" showing up at, then getting thrown out of, a Trump Rally), caused fans to begin referring to Linkara as "the Lightbringer" once again as reference to the old comic. Linkara was less than pleased, though his complaints about it only made the fandom joke about it even more. Suffice to say, it has resulted in a bit of [[FandomRivalry a rift]] between ''Oney Plays'' and ''Atop the Fourth Wall'' fans.[[/labelnote]]
** Jon and Chris as Arin's exes.[[labelnote:Explanation]]Fans who are familiar with ''WebVideo/GameGrumps'' like to note that both Chris and [[WebVideo/JonTron Jon Jafari]] were both formerly associated with Arin through ''Game Grumps'', before having to separate for their own reasons (Jon so that he could focus on his own web series, and Chris due to technical difficulties and ''possibly'' fallout from the whole ''Dream Daddy'' fiasco), even if both are still on good terms with Arin himself. The fandom, of course, treats this like Jon and Chris were in an actual ''relationship'' with Arin.[[/labelnote]]
** "Lyle! Lyle! Turn on the TV they hit the PENTAGON! Zach's out of nowhere intense acting during the bit (spawned by Lyle recalling that he had only recently been woken up by Chris abruptly barging into his room to film the episode) made it a hit with the fans, with it later getting a resurgence of use in various ''[[Memes/TurningRed Turning Red]]'' 9/11 memes.[[/labelnote]]

Unfortunately, this new layer to the argument only caused it to devolve even more, into a bizarre and confusing conundrum of theoretical infidelity, outraged confusion, and at least one hypothetical murder. Suffice to say any mention of the Hitler Hypothetical is often followed by mention of Shapiffany.[[/labelnote]]

** During their playthrough of [=MarbleBlast=] Ultra, the boys congratulate Stefan Karl Stefansson on beating cancer. While he was doing better for a little while, he unfortunately did pass away at a later date.
