Before fleeing, Janga kidnaps Klonoa's friend, Lolo, to be used as [[HumanResources nightmare energy]] for Nahatomb, which leaves Lolo in a comatose state. When defeated by the heroes, after he [[ISurrenderSuckers gets Guntz to spare him with a false apology]], Janga attempts to [[UngratefulBastard poison Guntz with his poison claws]], [[TakingTheBullet only for Klonoa to take the blow instead]], but Janga doesn't care and proceeds to mock Guntz about the boy's condition. A cruel, heartless individual who will betray and kill anyone to achieve his own desires, Janga is a [[VileVillainSaccharineShow dark villain]] for an otherwise lighthearted series.

** Klonoa's Parasols are very unattractive weapons. They block enemy bullets when that's hardly a notable threat and have minimal range with an awkward hitbox that doesn't bounce enemies off properly when you run into them. Their special skill is a SpinAttack that unlike the hammers' renders Klonoa immobile.

** Mydos aren't much of a threat but suck in and eat any gold and crystals dropped by enemies.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: "Sign of Hero" (performed by Klonoa's voice actress Creator/KumikoWatanabe) is a very rousing and heroic theme song for Klonoa that plays at key scenes. A full quality version of the song was released much later as part of the soundtrack on [=iTunes=]. Unfortunately, it was left out of ''VideoGame/NamcoXCapcom'' -- which uses the ''Heroes'' incarnation of Klonoa -- in favor of "Stepping Wind" from ''Klonoa 2''.
