* NintendoHard:
** It's one of the tougher Idle Games out there, and it's even likened as "a VideoGame/DarkSouls of incremental gaming".
** Then there's Iron Will mode, which requires that you build a Library without building a Hut, and that you cannot gain any extra kittens (meaning no Huts or residential buildings) or else the "mode" ends, and most buildings that increase job outputs are utterly useless. The only way to get Minerals is via meteors that drop from the sky. You do get Zebras (yes, Jerkass those Zebras who hate you for no reason) to help you out with hunting and gold, but the run is still excruciatingly slow even with all this. In fact, the game doesn't give you the "Super Unethical Climax" 'achievement' if you use an Autoclicker in this mode.

** Pollution. It's a purely detrimental mechanic that makes several industrial-based buildings to generate pollution, which causes various negative effects when high (such as unhappiness, lowered catnip production, and others). This forces you to completely turn off those buildings for stretches of time to lower the pollution levels.

Fan Nickname is YMMV now, migrating

* FanNickname: The endest of the endgame, when one has accumulated so much of everything that nearly every number has lost all meaning, is referred to as "hoglagame", after Discord user hoglaboo, one of the few users who remained active in the game and community after reaching this point.

** In older versions, space missions had a chance to fail, wasting all the time and resources spent on them. To the joy of players, an update eventually removed this mechanic, and all missions now succeed on the first attempt.

** An earlier update gave space missions a chance to fail, wasting all your time and resources spent in it if it happened. To the joy of players, this got taken out and all missions will succeed.

** Hostile Races have a chance of not giving you any resources ("X hate you for no reason") when you trade with them, and you still lose the resources and gold if this happens. The worst of all are Zebras, who have an initial 30% chance to hate you, and you'll need 86 trade posts and the Caravanserai upgrade for them to stop hating you (56 trade posts if you have Diplomacy). And if you want to progress the game, you'll need to obtain titanium from trading with Zebras, which means you're going to see "Zebras hate you for no reason" and the subsequent "Your kittens return empty-pawed" a lot.
