** The prized pet poodles are never seen again once everyone in the group takes residence in the island's remote cabin. Then the island gets blown up at the end with everyone on it. Including those poor poodles.
** The voodoo ritual sacrifices specifically require a virgin young woman to be sacrificed. Janine should've been safe once she lost her virginity to Tom. Unfortunately, Janine, along with Coral, still get kidnapped and bounded and gagged to be sacrificed. And that's where we figure out that it's personal once a non-virginal woman (or two) are about to be sacrificed. Just how many women (virgins or not) has [[spoiler: Charles Bentley]] and the island natives sacrificed and killed over the years and how long have they been getting away with it?
