* HilariousInHindsight: When Creator/AdamSandler threatened to make the worst movie possible after being snubbed at the 2020 Oscars, everyone believed this film would be Sandler making good on his threat. When this film was actually released, it received mixed reviews overall but still wound up being his highest rated pure comedy film since ''Film/TheWeddingSinger''.

* MemeticMutation: Prior to the announcement of the 2020 Oscar nominations, Creator/AdamSandler jokingly threatened to create the worst movie he could come up with if he wasn't nominated for his performance in ''Film/UncutGems''. Following his snub by the Academy and during the lead up to this film's release, everyone began dubbing the film Sandler's "worst movie ever" based on his threat. Ironically, the actual movie ended up being one of Sandler’s better reviewed movies (51% on Rotten Tomatoes).
