* {{Narm}}: Max's dad steps on a Lego and says it's "the most painful thing in the world", as if anyone in the audience has never stepped on one and needs that explained to them before they're used in a trap later.

Look at the entry, this feels like a misuse of the trope.

* TransAudienceInterpretation: As part of his home alone montage, Max tries on one of his mother's dresses and starts strutting like he's on a catwalk.

* DesignatedHero: Max. His actions in the movie appear to be sadistic as he brutally hurts the two DesignatedVillain thieves (who just wanted their doll back). He also acts snobbish due to his family's way of life, and is generally insufferable, with the worst of his {{Jerkass}}ery being stealing gifts from children in need, even quipping "Well, I'm definitely a child in need!" before he returns to his bonafide ''mansion''. At the end of the movie, he doesn't seem to make up for this, and stays as this archetype.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: After Max's mom calls the Winnetka Police Department about Max being left home alone and it gets radioed to the officers on duty, an annoyed Buzz tells his colleagues about the events of the first two films, explaining that Kevin has made it a yearly tradition to make a prank call to the police claiming a child has been left home alone just to mess with him.

* SpecialEffectFailure: In the dinner scene at the end of the movie, the background is very obviously greenscreened.
