Exit 0 is a Thriller movie by E.B. Hughes.

Billy Curtis (Gabe Fazio) and Lisa (Augie Duke) are a young couple currently on a trip. They decide to stop in a small town to spend the weekend, booking a room in the Doctor's Inn for their stay. Billy tells Lisa he has fond memories of the inn, having spent time there as a kid.

During his stay, however, Billy finds a videotape underneath the bed in his room. He plays it, and discovers a murder occurred in the room he and Lisa are currently staying in. Not wanting to suffer a similar fate, Billy decides he needs to get to the bottom of this.

The movie was released on August 11th, 2019.

Exit 0 contains examples of:

  • Bathtub Scene: Lisa takes a bath after dinner on their first night in the hotel. Because of all the suds, all that's visible is her head and legs.
  • Censor Suds: In the above-mentioned Bathtub Scene, the whole surface of the water is covered in bubbles. As a result, the only parts of Lisa that are seen are what's above the surface: her head and her legs.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Lisa's response when Billy says to give him a break about where he's been and they can have some fun is a very flat "Yay. I'm all for fun.".
  • Department of Redundancy Department: When describing the contents of the tape to Detective Mueller, Billy describes them as disturbing twice in the same sentence.
  • Furniture Blockade: Lisa wakes up one morning to find a door jammed against the hotel room doorknob. She removes it before leaving the room.
  • Ghost Story: We hear part of one from Charles, who says that the ghost of Captain Edward Louis is still haunting the Doctor's Inn, where he went after his ship sunk.
  • Good-Times Montage: Billy and Lisa's tome in the town is presented in this manner.
  • Inconveniently Vanishing Exonerating Evidence: When Billy brings detective Mueller to his hotel room, he tries to show him the tape of the murder, which he stored in the dresser drawer next to the bed. He searched for it, but is unable to find it. He finds it later, in the dresser drawer, and tries to show it to Detective Mueller. However, when Mueller plays it, all it shows is static.
  • Title Drop: Billy and Lisa drive on to Exit 0 to get to the town, as indicated by the sign that they pass on the highway.
  • Top-Down View: The first shot in the movie is a top-down view of Billy and Lisa's car driving along the road.
  • Wham Shot: The clerk at the Doctor's Inn finds a photo Billy left behind, which is of him and his parents in 1986... the year the murder from the tape took place.
